Chapter 1 The Fatal Story(1/2)

The wind blows in the setting sun.

The sky was full of sand and dust dancing over the abandoned beacon, lifting the tents, rolling up a bonfire and smashing it into the dilapidated manger.

A dark horse was burned by Mars, frightened and suddenly broke free from the reins, raising its hooves and running wildly, disappearing into the sandstorm in the blink of an eye. The remaining two seemed to be encouraged, neighing desperately, turning around the manger tied to the reins.

The wind in the vast sea is really good at killing people, and can roll up people and throw them a few miles away, smashing them to pieces.

A few breaths ago, the few Hu people who were still sitting around the dry well and burning fire did not care about chasing the run away dark horse. Some dragged the goods they had unloaded before against the wind to the earth wall, and some hurriedly led the camel who was dozing off on the ground.

In the dirt house, the Hu man with a scimitar heard the movement outside and explained to the gray-clothed boy who was laying a blanket. He quickly tied a cloth towel to cover his mouth and nose, opened the door and rushed out.

The raging wind wrapped in sand and gravel came in.

The boy in gray was caught off guard and choked by the wind and sand. Even the black scarf wrapped around his head was blown away. He quickly held his body tightly to the tie.

A pair of eyes stared at him in the dark corner: "Why did you shave your head too? Are you a monk?"

The gray-clothed boy dusted the dust on his body, walked over and opened the cover of the angrily wind lamp, and gently plucked the wick inside. With the dim light, a face similar to the gray-clothed boy appeared in front of him.

He wore a strange wide-edged cowhide felt hat on his head and a black fur. His childish face was covered with dust, which made his eyes look particularly bright and clear. Although he was tied up like a big rice dumpling, he gave people a calmness that was incompatible with his age and his situation.

"You are the monk." The young man in gray leaned over and took off the boy's hat of the fur and started playing with it curiously.

"I'm not a monk." The fur boy smiled and asked, "Do you like it? I like it to give it to you."

"Why are you shaving your head if you are not monk?" The young man in gray patted off the dust on his hat.

"It is better to shave your hair off too long."

"I see."

"Why did you shave?"

"Because you shave, I want to shave too." The young man in gray hated the powerful the most. Seeing that the young man in fur has become a prisoner, he still looked arrogant and said again: "I didn't know why I wanted to shave before, but now I know, thank you."

The fur boy asked in surprise: "You are learning from me!"

The boy in gray raised his arm, touched his head, which he was not used to after shaving it off, and asked back: "Han Ping'an, don't you think we are very similar?"

"Hey, I really didn't care if you didn't say it. It's a bit similar, but it's just a bit similar."

"Don't worry, it will be more and more like."

"How do you say this?" Han Ping'an asked in confusion.

The young man in gray put on Han Ping'an's weird felt hat and said seriously: "You are dying. When you die, I will be Han Ping'an."

Han Ping'an was stunned and asked in surprise: "You want to kill me, and then pretend to be me?"

The young man in gray nodded and looked at Han Ping'an's fur, thinking that this fur must be very valuable.

"Stop looking, even if you peel off your fur and replace it, it won't look like you!" Han Ping'an didn't expect that this would happen, and emphasized again: "Also an accent, living habits, and even walking postures are different. It's all full of loopholes. You are not afraid of being seen by others."

"It makes sense, but fortunately you are a lunatic. You have no friends or relatives in Yele City. People are too lazy to pay attention to you on weekdays, so how can you pay attention to these things? Of course, I will be careful. After entering the city, I will talk less and pretend to be crazy. After a year or two, fakes will become real."

"Are you planning to play spy war?"

"What kind of spy war..."

"You don't understand even if you say it." Han Ping'an moved his body with difficulty and asked curiously: "How old are you this year?"

"Sixteen, one year older than you."

"A man born in the Year of the Sheep, are you the baby my father gave birth to outside, otherwise we wouldn't look so similar. I didn't expect that my father with thick eyebrows and big eyes was so romantic. Not only did he raise a mistress outside with me on his back, but he also gave birth to a half-brother for me."

What are thick eyebrows and big eyes?

What mistress?

The gray boy felt a little confused and thought to himself that this person was indeed as crazy as the legendary one.

"I know why you took the risk. It must be that my father put on his pants and refused to recognize others. No matter whether you two are alive or not, you will make you a bandit and become a horse thief. But it's not my business. If you have a grudge, you have a debt and a master. You should go to my father."

“…”

"But even if my father is sorry for you, you can't tear the votes. You must know that blood is thicker than water. We are half-brothers. If you kill me, you will be tragic!"

This is wherever you go!

The young man in gray stared at him, really unable to keep up with his jumping thinking.

"Brother, why are you too anxious to fight each other? Don't kill me, okay? I'm only fifteen this year, I haven't married a wife yet, and I haven't tasted a woman. I knew this would happen, so I should have agreed to my sixth uncle early. Although his daughter was born to Hu Ji, she looks like Hu Ji. When the lamp blows, she drills into the quilt. She is no different from us Qin women."

When I die, I actually think of a woman. I am really heartless.

No wonder everyone in Yele City called him "Han San Crazy", no wonder his servants called him "Crazy Young Master" behind their backs.

The gray-clothed boy didn't want to listen to his nonsense anymore and interrupted: "Han Ping'an, you're thinking too much, we just look a little similar. I have a father and a mother, and it has nothing to do with your family."

"You are not the baby my father gave birth to outside. So my father offended you?" Han Ping'an's chin was a little itchy, and he lowered his head and rubbed against the hemp rope that tied him.

"No."

"That's to make money. You want to kill me so that you can pretend to be me and inherit my father's property."

Han Ping'an thought about it and shook his head again: "But my unpromising father is an honest official and has little salary at all, and his salary has been almost squandered by me over the years. Even if he secretly saved some private money, it is not your turn to inherit it. You must know that I am a concubine, and there is still Dalang Erlang on it."

A madman is a madman, and his thoughts are indeed different from those of ordinary people.

The gray-clothed boy opened his eyes and couldn't help but smile and said, "I'm not trying to make money from your family."

"Then what are you trying to do?" Han Ping'an looked confused.

"This is my business, it has nothing to do with you."

"You can't be a spy from Dashi, you want to pretend to be me and sneak into the city to spy on my Daqin military situation!"

The gray-clothed boy was too lazy to talk nonsense to a lunatic. He leaned over and picked up a cloth bag, took out a naan bread from the bag, teared off a small piece and stuffed it into his mouth, and chewed it slowly.

Han Ping'an was a little anxious and asked, "Even if I don't have any relatives and friends in Yele, you pretend to be me and others can't see the flaws, but my father will definitely see it. Are you afraid that my father will see the flaws, cut your head down and hang it at the city gate?"

"Your father can naturally see that you are his son after all, but dead people can't speak."

"You not only want to kill me, but also want to kill my dad!"

"If you father and son don't die, how can I do Han Ping'an?"

"You have also tied up my father?"

"No, but he will definitely not survive tomorrow the sun will set." After eating the naan bread in his mouth, the boy in gray said as if he was a family: "Han Ping'an, you are not lucky. At least your mother died early, and other relatives are all in his hometown in Luozhou, otherwise it would be not only you father and son who died, but the whole family."

If you die in the border, it’s really nothing.

But it was so creepy that he said it from the mouth of a sixteen-year-old man and said it so righteously.

Han Ping'an didn't expect him to be so vicious and said frowningly: "I don't want to die, I just want to live a peaceful life. Even my father thinks so, otherwise I wouldn't have let me slap in for death, and I wouldn't have named me Ping'an."

The young man in gray said lightly: "But this is the Western Regions, this is the vast sea, not a place to live a safe life."

The vast sea is not the sea, but a wasteland.

During the war, this was the battlefield where the Qin Dynasty fought with the armies of various Western Regions.

Usually, this is a military buffer zone for the Daqin, Dashi, Turkish and Turkic tribes on the other side of the Pamirs.

There are no governments, no royal laws, no city-state villages, and no people. There are only burning, killing, looting, and despairing people from all races.

The upright and kind people cannot survive here at all, and only the traitors and evil people can survive here. Even the Sogdian caravans that traveled to and from the Great Food, the Western Turks and the Tubo tribes would be exposed as soon as they entered the vast sea. As long as they saw the lonely people, they would rush up and rob.

"The vast sea is not very peaceful."

Han Ping'an nodded and then changed the subject: "Actually, it's not the first time I've been to Hanhai to play, nor is it the first time I've been tied up. Do you want to know how I was tied up last time and how I got out."

The young man in gray took a sip of water and asked with a smile: "Want to delay time?"

"Worrying that I'm running?"

"Can you run away?" The gray-clothed boy looked at the rope on his body. When he thought of pretending to be him, he had to know more about him, and then smiled and said, "Let me tell me."

"It was August five years ago. I just came to Yele with my father from Guishu. A Hu merchant said that someone had caught a litter of wolf cubs. I was very curious and wanted to buy it and keep it for fun. Seeing whether it could be tamed, I called Li Er to go out of the city to find it. As a result, I met a fugitive from the border army. He brought a baby older than me and tied Li Er and me cleanly."

Han Ping'an licked his lips and then said, "They used a knife to hold it on my neck, but they didn't take my life, they didn't ask for money, and they didn't even rob me of water and dry food. They only asked me for five yamen's sea captain documents, which were the kind of reward notices with portraits."

"What do you want to do when you want a sea capture notice?" asked the gray-clothed boy in a strange way.

"I was also puzzled at the time, but saving my life was important, so I asked Li Er to go back and find him quickly. Speaking of which, Li Er was a fool. I naturally wanted to say that I could not alarm my father in front of the escaped man. But after he returned, he really didn't tell my father, so he ran to the city gate so stupidly tore off a few sea capture notices to redeem me."

"Your servant is stupid enough, what about you later."

"I never thought that the escaped man had a letter and let me go as soon as he got the notice of the sea capture. Later, he asked my father and realized that the reason he wanted the notice of the sea capture was to redeem his sins."

"How to atone for the sins?"

"Because of the 12th year of Tianzheng, Lord Zhongcheng..., the governor of our four towns in Anxi, learned that there were many fugitives in Yele Town, and some border troops committed crimes, and they all fled into the vast sea afterwards. This wind could not be long. Lord Zhongcheng was furious and immediately ordered the fugitives who had repentance to redeem their merits and atone for their sins. As long as five fugitives were captured and killed, they could not blame the past for what they had committed before."

"I understand. The escaped man with his baby wanted to exchange his head for extravagance."

"What do you understand!" Han Ping'an glared at him and explained: "You must know that those are the heads of the five fugitives in the Great Qin Dynasty, not including the horse thieves in the Hanhai and those Hu people who have committed trouble in my Great Qin Dynasty. In other words, you cannot just cut off a few heads and make up for the numbers."

The Western Regions were naturally from the Great Qin, but the Western Regions were mainly Hu people. There were not many real Qin people, and there were even fewer fugitives from the Great Qin.

It is really not easy to find five heads of fugitives from the Great Qin fugitives in the vast sea with such harsh climate, vast areas, and so dangerous people's hearts.

The gray-clothed boy reacted like a sudden inspiration and pondered: "If you want to get enough of five heads, you have to kill at least fifty horse thieves."
