Chapter 4 Opening the Door

Selyosau sat on the cold concrete floor, leaning against the colder steel prison door. The outskirts of Moscow in early spring were still so cold. The cold wind blew into the breathable window and hit Selyosau from time to time. Selyosau did not feel any discomfort. Only in this way can Selyosau calm down at this time.

The footsteps of the guards sounded again outside the door. There was only one guard named Alexander in the confinement room, mainly because prisoners were not often detained. Alexander was not bad. In the words of the prisoner in the Lubiyanka prison, it was a person who was not so fucked. On weekdays, the confinement room was empty, and Alexander had almost nothing to do every day. He could drink a little wine, read the newspaper, and pass the time of being bored. In fact, he did exactly that.

Because of the conflict in the morning restaurant, the guard room of Lubiyanka prison today was particularly lively, and several thorns were locked up in one go, including the chariots, the Ingush, the Slavs, the Caucasians, etc. It fully represents the multinational nature of the Soviet Union of the Socialist Republics.

After settling these people in the morning, Alexander announced the rules here: "As long as you don't fuck the eggs so much, I can try my best to meet your small requirements, and even give you a sip of wine, but if you are restless, don't blame me for being rude." The word "fuck the eggs so much is so popular in Lubiyanka Prison, and even the guards here use it.

Alexander was a smoker. Every half hour, he would come to the end of the corridor of the confinement room to smoke. Therefore, whenever the sound of footsteps sounded in the corridor, Selyosha knew that another half an hour had passed. After only one morning, the prisoners could not stand the feeling of the confinement room and began to howl. This sound was contagious. Alexander would knock on the prison doors of these prisoners, open the small windows on the door, and warn them to be honest. If the prisoners had some small requests that were not excessive, such as smoking a cigarette, Alexander would give them one.

It was finally noon that the small window on the prison door was opened, and Alexander put the rice in on the small window. Seriosha didn't eat much in the morning, and it was so cold here, Seriosha almost had a stomachache. What Petrov said was right. Compared with the cafeteria, the food here was really good. The staple food was potato stews, bread, and even boxed milk. These foods were quickly swept away by Seriosha. With food in her stomach, Seriosha felt that she was not so cold.

After lunch, the plate was taken back. Selyosha continued to sit on the ground and passed the long and unhappy time. The plan in his mind was passed again. "This is the best effect that can be achieved under the existing conditions." Selyosha comforted himself.

The afterglow of the sunset shone in through the small window of the confinement room. Seriosha was getting nervous. He kept thinking in his mind what to do if he failed. No one could guarantee that the device would work 100%. Once it didn't work, Seriosha would lose the trust of Petrov's father, and the possibility of escape from prison again was almost zero. Then he would be locked up here for the rest of his life. Maybe he would not have to leave here after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but then eleven years later, and there were still several more eleven years in his life. At that time, the people of Russia and Russia could not even afford food, let alone a man who had been locked up in Gulag (Gulag in Russian refers to the Labor Camp, and there was no such place as the Gulag Islands). What would he do if he released it?

These thoughts made Seriosha even more irritated. He paced back and forth in the small cell, and while anxiously waiting, supper time came. Seriosha prayed that this would be the last meal in Lubiyanka prison. Although his irritable mood made Seriosha not have any appetite, he still forced himself to eat all the supper.

At seven o'clock, the radio sounded as promised in the prison, which made Selyossa even more nervous. He believed that Mr. Petrov was as nervous as him.

"Sir Alexander, give me a cigarette." The prisoner from some unknown cell shouted.

"Let me talk about it when I come back, you stupid pig." Alexander replied. Then the sound of closing the door came.

"He would probably go to the guard lounge to have a cup of coffee. There was no one here for a while. This is our chance, and we should try it." Seryosha secretly made up his mind.

When the time of action came, Seriosha quickly opened the Bible. The Bible had been hollowed out by Seriosha. It contained two bags of metal powder. One bag contained a mixture of silver powder paint and rust that Seriosha had brought from the prison factory, which was used to paint the toys with silver. The silver powder paint was made into liquid when used. It usually exists in the form of powder. Its main component is aluminum. Rust was made in the waste accumulation area of Seriosha in the factory. Another bag of powder was magnesium powder made by Petrov's father. These magnesium powder were placed in the guards' lounge, where there were barbells and magnesium powders, which could prevent slipping. These two bags of stuff were the key to Seriosha's opening the door of the lockdown room.

Another mixture of silver powder paint and rust is called aluminum thermal agent. They are mixed in a certain ratio. Seriosa does not have the conditions to mix strictly in proportion, but the rough ratio is not wrong. This kind of thing needs magnesium powder to ignite and can generate a high temperature of about 3,000 degrees, which is enough to melt the steel-casting door.

Selyosha put the bag on the door lock, took out the matches hidden in his shoes, and stretched them out to the magnesium powder. Unfortunately, she did not ignite them. Selyosha took a deep breath and took out another match. The color of the flame suddenly changed from orange to dazzling white. Selyosha hurriedly turned his head. This light was not good for the eyes. Although the reaction was very fierce, there was no particularly loud sound and would not attract others' attention. After a few minutes, it was obvious that a big hole was burned through the door lock. The prison door opened easily with a light push, and even some melted molten iron fell.

Seriosha walked out, and the iron door next to it was also burned to melt. Petrov's father had obviously come out. When he saw Seriosha, he smiled at him. Seriosha made a gesture to him, told him to make a small sound, then pointed to Alexander's desk and made a lock-opening action.

"What are you going to do with Seryosha?" asked Papa Petrov.

"Let them all out, the more messy they are tonight, the better. Where have you hidden your stuff?" asked Seryosha.

"Here." Papa Petrov pointed to his shoes. No wonder he looked wrong when walking.

Seriosha quickly put on a guard uniform that was turned out from Alexander's cabinet, and his father took the key to open the door. The doors of the confinement room were opened one by one, and each prisoner released showed an expression of ecstasy. Even the officials of the car were grateful to Seriosha. One of them even said to Seriosha: "If we can leave here alive, we will definitely repay you."

Just shortly after the music on the radio started.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"
