The first thousand two hundred and twenty-seven chapters fateful showdown (three) 1)

Flying Snake fighters have never been prepared for high altitudes. For example, the engines used by Flying Snake fighters now do not have superchargers at all!

The Flying Snake fighter is the V-1710 produced by Allison Engine Company. This engine has been developed since the 1930s and was even used on airships at first. It is considered a suitable aviation engine.

But it has one disadvantage, that is, there is no supercharger.

During the development, this engine was also equipped with a supercharger, but it is also the primary first-class supercharger, which does not greatly improve the performance of the engine. The Feiser fighter was originally designed to be used at low and medium altitudes, so in later models, it even directly abandoned the supercharger.

This is also a prominent defect of this aircraft. It can only be used in airspace below 5,000 meters. In technical data, the practical ceiling of the Flying Snake fighter is only 5,810 meters. As for its engine, the effective working range is also below 4,600 meters.

In fact, even the P-51 equipped in the US Army Air Force was equipped with the same Alison liquid-cooled engine equipped with only a first-stage supercharger in the early days, resulting in poor performance at high altitudes. However, the P-51 has a more advanced intake configuration and overall layout that greatly improves cooling and aerodynamic efficiency, and is incorporated into the laminar flow wing design to further enhance high-speed performance.

This was not until the British Merlin engine was modified with a second-level and two-speed supercharger that it made its high-altitude performance soar.

The later model of the P-39 also reached tens of thousands of meters in the ceiling, which improved the aircraft's engine to the standard of a first-class supercharger. However, it is still not a high-altitude fighter, and its performance at an altitude of tens of thousands of meters is quite poor.

For piston fighters, the air at high altitude is thin, and if the aircraft engine wants to work normally, it must have an efficient supercharger. When there is insufficient air inhalation, the engine will not work.

(The heroes of East China are also very strange. When World War II just broke out, the American aircraft engine technology seemed to be not very good. It was only after using the British Merlin engine that became taller. As expected, the foundation of an old capitalist country like the UK is profound.)

It is somewhat different from history. In this era, due to the rapid advancement of German aircraft high-altitude technology, the United States is constantly developing new high-altitude superchargers to allow aircraft to fly higher, including the engines of flying snake shrink equipment being improved.

But this does not include flying snakes. As a kind of unpopular domestically and is about to become a special export aircraft, there is no need for American Bell to make step-by-step improvements for it.

It is the king of the low and medium altitudes, that's all.

Now, Roy was in a daze and climbed up with the other party, and then he climbed to a height of 4,000 meters. At this time, the aircraft engine had already begun to show its performance because it could not absorb enough air. If he climbed up again, the engine would be shut down.

Roy knew that he could not climb any longer, and at the same time he knew that if he finished climbing first, the other party would definitely catch up.

The only way is to turn into dive immediately and get rid of it!

Roy pushed the operating rod, and the fighter changed from the climbing state and began to dive down.

Now Roy only hopes that the other party can delay discovering his dive, so that he can distance himself, so that no matter how he maneuveres, it will be easy to say.

Moreover, fighter jets are now taking off in Soviet air bases. The number of these German fighter jets is not large. If they are tactful, they should have to return.

At this time, on the base's runway, Safonov's fighter jet had already taken off the runway, with the throttle fully opened and the engine was roaring. This short and cute fighter jet was climbing at full power.

Safonov's hand kept shaking the operating rod, trying to put away the landing gear of the fighter. It was the first fighter in the Soviet Union that could retract and place the landing gear, but it was the most deceptive manual operation. Every pilot had a Kirin arm while retracting and place the landing gear, and his arms were quite strong.

At the same time, his eyes were also anxiously looking at the sky. The American plane had just flew in, so it could not be shot down just like this. That was the property of the Soviets!

At this time, he also saw the two climbing fighter jets and shouted in his heart that something was wrong. It seemed that so far, no fighter jet could surpass the German aircraft during climbing.

Sure enough, when the two planes climbed up simultaneously, the flying snake fighter first flipped down. At this time, his heart was already in his throat.

Whoever comes down first will become a disadvantaged person.

Now, it depends on the reaction of the German pilot. After all, the backward vision of any aircraft is not as broad as the forward vision!

When designing the f190, at the suggestion of Cialek, the cockpit was raised, making the pilot feel as if he was riding on an airplane, with a wide view. Even so, the back view was not very sufficient, especially after the left wing equipped with air pressure ejection, in order to protect the safety of the pilot's cervical spine, the backrest at the back was very high and the rear view was very poor.

However, the pilot is never a lonely hero.

Just after Alcatel flew down and cleared his young pilot, Woodrich had realized the mistake just now and was almost shot down.

He did not fall in love with the battle, flew to the sky and began to give his chief aircraft instructions. Now, when he saw the enemy aircraft falling, he immediately shouted in the radio: "The enemy aircraft fell, captain, chase after him!"

Alcatel received a radio prompt and immediately pushed the nose and dived down.

The two sides only had two seconds apart. If you look at the sky, the Flying Snake fighter had just dived down, and the f190 on it dived down. When it dived down, the two sides were less than five hundred meters apart.

Alcatel would not give up on the opportunity. Just after he swooped down, he saw the tail of the opponent and immediately pressed the cannon button.

"Bangbang." The 20mm cannon hit the bottom. After only a few strokes, he saw that the opponent's tail suddenly appeared.

I've hit it!

For Alcatel, this was just an ordinary battle. Woodrich's cheer from his headphones made him want to laugh at the group of rookies under his command.

Originally, he wanted to continue chasing and keep firing, but glanced at the airspace around him and found several Yi-16s flying towards him, especially the one in the lead, who accelerated and rushed towards him.

Although Alcatel was not afraid of these backward wooden planes, his mission was over today. He still needed some fuel to ensure that he returned to the aircraft carrier and found some weak chickens to let his pilot experience the first actual combat goal, and it was time to leave.

Finally, he looked at the fighter plane that was falling down with smoke. Alcatel pulled the operating lever and began to climb upwards.

During this process, the anti-aircraft guns around the base did not fire, mainly because they were worried about accidental injuries. By the time Alcatel's fighter shot down the flying snake, he had climbed to a high altitude. The anti-aircraft gun troops fired sporadically, and there was no threat to Alcatel.

At this time, Alcatel didn't know that he had just shot down his teacher and friend in the United States.

Perhaps, this is the arrangement of fate.
