Chapter 17 Batman's Kidney Crisis

The serious psychological counseling that Schiller gave Gordon ended the moment Bruce opened the door.

The three of them stared at each other and Schiller asked: "Well, Mr. Wayne, I said that you have no time for psychological counseling this week, right? Why don't you call in advance to ask if anyone has made an appointment in the psychological counseling room?"

Bruce was also a little embarrassed. He did not expect Gordon to be here too. He just came to send Schiller an invitation letter. Bruce knew that his identity in Gordon might be exposed, but he also knew that Gordon did not come to him and did not come to Wayne Manor to look for Bruce, which means that he actually did not trust Batman.

This made Bruce a little frustrated because he knew that Gordon was indeed a good cop, and now the Gotham Police Department did not trust him, and even felt a little inexplicably hostile to him. Bruce knew that Batman had to do more and had to do something really useful in order to get a better look.

Schiller said: "It seems that God also wants us to form an alliance. Since everyone is here, we might as well talk openly."

"We all know what happened that night, and I know that the three of us don't fully trust each other, but that's OK. We can still temporarily unite because of a common goal, such as letting my colleague, Dr. Jonathan, who creates fear gas, go to prison."

Gordon knew that he had nothing to hide. If he could not solve this matter, his boss and the police chief knew that he was secretly investigating someone to hire Jonathan, then he would definitely die without a burial place. Whether it was Schiller or Bruce, Gordon could only hope that they were neutral parties at least. Even if they could not help him, at least they could give him some advice.

Gordon frowned and said, "The situation must be worse than you think, Victor... Oh, the current police chief, who was charged with selling high concentrations of calming drugs, but was not sentenced. Instead, he rose all the way. Some people guessed that behind him was Sal, but no one had any evidence. My immediate boss, Lantaros, I have seen him go in and out of the club where the Red Crow Gang is, but these old policemen are too cunning and no one can catch their feet."

Schiller sighed. He knew that Gordon had left some face for the Gotham Police Department. The Gotham City Police Department was almost all the minions of the gang from top to bottom. Even the kindest police officers just took the money from the gang and did less work.

Schiller asked: "Do you know Harvey? Harvey Brock."

Gordon frowned and thought for a moment, saying, "You are talking about the fat man who smoked and drunk in the logistics department. What's wrong with him? Do you know him?"

Harvey Brock is portrayed as a fat man with Larry sloppy smoke and alcohol in some Batman comics. Gordon is not wrong, but in most comic settings, he is a good policeman who disguises himself as a bad policeman. He seems to be in a relationship with the gangsters, but in fact he secretly helps Gordon. In a certain comic, he even teamed up with Gordon to defeat the Joker without Batman intervening.

Schiller said: "You know I have worked with the police in several cities. I heard that he had classes at the police school in Star City. An old policeman in the metropolitan area mentioned him to me. He said that Harvey really wanted to be a good policeman, but he had been retaliated. For this reason, he had to pretend to be a decadent appearance, and even took the initiative to hook up with the gangster to find a protective umbrella for himself."

"Do you think he is trustworthy?" Gordon asked.

Bruce interrupted: "You are alone in the Gotham Police Department. If you don't have any alliance, you will almost never be able to defeat your boss and the police department's chief, let alone the gangster behind them."

"I think you can try to contact Harvey, but don't tell him about it. I believe he must be paying attention to this case. If he is really trustworthy, maybe he will provide you with some help in secret. You two can be one in the open and the other in the dark, and at least they can give your boss a lot of trouble."

Gordon said: "I'll ask him."

"As for your police chief, I'll investigate him, of course, in another identity you know," Bruce said.

Bruce had no intention of hiding Gordon from the beginning because he knew that it was almost impossible to get help from a police officer in the police station without revealing his identity.

"And the gangster..." Schiller said: "Whether it is the Thrall you mentioned or the Red Crow Gang, I can go and have a look."

The two of them stared at Schiller at the same time, and Gordon said hesitantly: "Professor, I know you have traveled in various cities, but I want to remind you that the gangs in Gotham are different from all cities. They are extremely vicious beasts, regardless of any legal principles or morality. They are very fierce jackals..."

"Yes, so I'm going now. You know, if it's time to go after two months, Gotham University will have to conduct final tests, so I won't have that much time."

Schiller glanced at Bruce and continued, "After all, many students here would rather go to nightclubs to stumble when it's still dawn than spend more time studying."

Bruce rubbed his nose awkwardly. Gordon looked him up and down and said, "Although I'm not a few years older than you, I still want to remind you that if you really want to be that stylist, it's better to restrain your private life. Half of the beauties in the whole city of Gotham have been in your bed. Do you think there will be a few black widows among them?"

Bruce said perfunctorily: "Okay, I will pay attention, thank you for your reminder."

Bruce's "famous name" is well-known throughout Gotham City. It has to be admitted that even the 18-year-old Bruce is so handsome that it is earth-shaking. Although he does not have the temperament of vicissitudes, his handsome appearance alone can capture the hearts of countless opposite sexes. Gotham's entertainment newspapers almost every day, but Bruce's female companion has never been repeated in the photos.

Schiller was not very worried that he would be assassinated by the gang mistress. What he was more worried about was Bruce's kidney. He felt that even if Batman continued to play like this, he would have to drink the kidney treasure one day.

Unfortunately, as soon as Bruce returned to Wayne Manor, his old housekeeper Afu said to him: "I took the liberty to cancel your date tonight because the data from your last physical examination was really not optimistic..."

Bruce was stunned for a moment, remembering Gordon and Schiller's strange eyes during the day today, he coughed awkwardly and said, "Help me cancel all the date this month."

Ah Fu was stunned for a moment, then his eyes gradually became strange. He said, "Master, you invited Miss Christine to have dinner two months ago. Are you sure her invitation will be cancelled?"

Bruce waved his hand and said, "Of course, I don't have much time to date them now."

Ah Fu's eyes became even more strange. He hesitated for a moment and said, "If you have any changes in your sexual orientation, I hope you can notify your loyal butler as soon as possible..."

Bruce covered her forehead and said, "I'm going out to investigate the matter these nights... Well, Miss Christine's date should not be cancelled. She is really sexy and charming."

After Afu left, Bruce found that his phone rang, and it turned out to be Schiller's call.

He picked it up and Schiller said, "You have a date with Christine, the head of the Nightingale Rugby Cheering Company?"

Bruce was shocked. Schiller really has the ability to read his mind?

But soon he found out that he was thinking too much. Schiller said: "She once boasted to her sisters that she caught Wayne, but she disappeared two days after she finished saying this. Her sister reported to the school. Anna from the Human Resources Department asked me to contact you..."

"I haven't dated her yet," Bruce said. "Our date is two weeks later, you know, my...schedule is relatively full."

"Then her disappearance has nothing to do with you? That's strange."

Schiller said: "The Ministry of Human Resources told me that Christine knew she was beautiful, so she was very cautious and never left school without much trouble. She was almost graduated, but now she is missing."

Bruce was a little alert and said, "Will it be related to Jonathan's case? Is Jonathan familiar with her?"

"Of course not, how could such a girl be familiar with Jonathan, who is a beautiful soccer girl, and Jonathan is stuck in the office all day long."

Schiller said: "Well, Bruce, now you have something new to do, hurry up and find your future date, preferably before your date."

"But I..."

"The Nightingales are Gotham University's business card. The missing team leader has a big blow to them. The National League playoffs will start in two weeks. If you can't find anyone, I will be in your subject."

"Hey, professor, you can't...hey?hey?"

Bruce put down the phone helplessly and called to the school in person. Only then did he realize that Christine was very popular in the cheerleading dance troupe. Many girls went to the school to ask for people. Without the leader, their dance could not be arranged, which made the football team members dissatisfied.

Just as Jonathan was arrested, everyone in the school was trying to calm the public opinion. No one was free, and Schiller, the new professor, was arrested as a strong man.

Then Batman was caught by Schiller.

Bruce began to think that a beautiful girl disappeared in Gotham, and the result of this matter was hardly thoughtful. But Schiller meant that Miss Christine was a very cautious person and generally did not leave school. She disappeared in Gotham University's school.

It is hard to doubt that it is related to the Jonathan case.

One sheep was driven, two sheep were put away. Bruce didn't care about Schiller's undeterrent threat at all. When did Bruce care about failing?

Except for the psychology class, he would take Schiller's first class, he would either go to bars or hang out.

Thinking of this, Bruce remembered what Schiller had just said, and Christine had mentioned to someone that she was about to date him?
