Chapter 16 Confused Gordon

In the settings of Pokémon anime and games, Pikachu is far from being a powerful Pokémon. Its popularity is more due to its cute appearance.

Whether in anime or a game, Pikachu is absolutely cute, and her combat ability is actually very average. Especially in the game, it can even be said to be a guaguan. Compared with those powerful and gorgeous beasts, Pikachu is indeed very cute, but there is only the advantage of cuteness.

But the Pikachu that Schiller encountered was far more than that simple. It has an IQ similar to humans and even higher than most humans. It has Pikachu's electrical skills and seems to have some other skills.

It is immune to Schiller's telepathy, and the fear gas is just causing it to fall. In terms of size, the dose of fear gas used by Schiller to set up the trap that day was enough to make a small creature like Pikachu crazy, but Pikachu only sneezes a few more.

And he could pry open the door lock while Schiller was sleeping and run to his bed. At Pikachu's height, he couldn't reach the door handle of the door even if he jumped up. If he wanted to pry the lock, he had to at least move a chair over.

This creature with less than a tall calves and very short hands, and no one knows how this creature, who moved a chair in the middle of the night, jumped onto the chair and pried the lock, opened the door, and ran to Schiller and didn't let him discover it.

However, this Pikachu was obviously much more cunning than Schiller imagined. More importantly, Schiller could not be as serious as he was facing Batman when he listened to his deadpool voice. Without looking at Pikachu's face, he always felt that there was a man in a black and red tights talking beside him. This scene made him shudder.

But soon, Schiller had no time to worry about Pikachu. Gordon sent him a text message to inform him that they had obtained conclusive evidence of Jonathan's crime and were about to arrest him.

There was no matter how Schiller was arrested. What he was more worried about was that no one would provide him with fear gas in the future, so he had to hurry up and take away the inventory from Jonathan.

Jonathan, this future scarecrow, is really unlucky enough.

When he knew that Jonathan was about to be arrested, he basically did as much as Schillerna. The young scarecrow did not have any sense of anti-detection. He was really broken. Who would steal his fear gas?

After Schiller had the ability to teleport, stealing fear gas became easier. He only needed to flash directly and continuously into the chapel more than 100 meters near the small chapel in the Mosen neighborhood, and left immediately after taking it, without even leaving a shadow.

Of course, Batman also participated in this arrest operation. With superb infiltration ability, he returned to the laboratory again. He found that Jonathan had made a fear of the poison gas jet gun. He suggested that Gordon capture Jonathan, otherwise the poison gas jet gun might cause all the police involved in the operation and residents of the Mosen neighborhood to go crazy.

Although Gordon doesn't trust this tight-fitting weirdo, he also has his own difficulties.

Everyone in the Gotham police station is full of talents. Except for him, they are basically all ten thousand years of salted fish spirits. They only arrive at the scene in the end whenever they happen and can’t count on them.

There is no need to think about the combat capabilities of this team. A poisonous gas jet gun is enough to knock down most of the police station.

Don't expect his boss to help him. Gordon has seen through it. The current director has been in love with some underworld forces. He doesn't want to have another trouble. He just died dozens of civilians. How could he delay his great cause of making money?

Gordon was helpless and powerless. So the only person he could count on was Batman.

Although Batman is immature now, the Scarecrow is obviously not much stronger. The two of them are rookies, and in the end, Batman obviously won.

He subdued Jonathan with an anesthetic needle while he was doing an experiment in the lab.

And the camera on his bat suit clearly captured how Jonathan committed the crime.

Faced with such a case with conclusive evidence, Gordon, who was so slight, was kicked out. Gordon's immediate boss took over the case and quickly filed a case and held a trial. This was a good political achievement.

A university professor is actually the planner of dozens of murder cases? This should be a bizarre case that has occupied the headlines of newspapers for several days in any other area. However, in Gotham, although it is still considered a large case, it only occupies a column on the newspaper's main board.

Seeing that the names of Gordon and Batman were not shown in the newspaper, but were all praised Gordon's boss repeatedly, Schiller knew that there was another sad person who was unsuccessful in this dark city.

Gordon, this good cop, has a long way to go.

To Schiller's expectations, Gordon quickly approached him.

In the psychological counseling room of Gotham University, Schiller poured Gordon a cup of coffee. The young detective seemed very tired at this time. He took a sip of hot coffee and his face improved a lot.

He said: "I know, my visit is a bit presumptuous, Mr. Professor. But about Jonathan's case..."

Gordon seemed to be reluctant to speak, Schiller said: "Let me guess the trial of the case may be very smooth, but something went wrong when the trial was reached, right?"

Gordon put his fists on the table, and he said with a gloomy face: "That damn murderer is a chemistry doctor. You should know what this means in Gotham. Someone doesn't want to sentence him to death, but wants to get him out of his guilt on the grounds that he has a mental illness and then let him work for them."

Schiller sat across from him and said, "Indeed, a genius doctor of chemistry, if he could make even a new type of hallucinogenic drug, the person who hired him would make a fortune."

Gordon shook his head and said, "It's far more than that. The drug they want Jonathan to develop may be even more dangerous than this."

"If they invent drugs, they can only make some money from those addicts. But if they really invent a virus that can put all Gotham under their control, there is no need to say much wealth they can get," said Gordon.

"Someone leaked the fear gas?" Schiller asked. The effect of this gas is so great that some people realize the power of Jonathan.

Gordon looked at him, hesitated, and said, "I have no intention of offending, but I want to confirm whether you have seen any suspicious people recently?"

"I can tell you clearly that I haven't told anyone about this, and it's not good for me. As a university professor, having a murderer colleague is already very disgraceful. If I have any other connections with him, it will greatly affect my career," Schiller said.

"So..." Gordon folded his hands, and he said, "That night, I heard you call the leotard-in-law Bruce, he is Bruce Wayne, right?"

"I can't tell you anything about this topic. You should ask him for verification by yourself, rather than come to me."

"I know what you're worried about," Schiller said. "As the largest business giant in Gotham, Bruce Wayne may not have nothing to do with those dirty deals. And if he knows that you're investigating this, you'll definitely die an ugly death. That's what you think, right?"

Gordon said: "Jonathan said in his confession that one person had been stealing most of his fear gas. The tight-fitting monster was the object of my suspicion, and he was so suspicious."

Schiller sighed a little. The content that had not appeared in the comics seemed very interesting now. The old partners Gordon and Batman did not trust each other from the beginning. Gordon even felt very suspicious of Batman, a strange-shaped vigilante.

This is not surprising. No normal person can accept it from the beginning. Some people are wearing a black tights and two pointed ears, running around Gotham in the middle of the night. Such behaviors and actions are really not like any good person.

Schiller said: "Have you ever thought that he actually doubted you so much?"

Gordon sighed and said, "Actually, he has more reason to doubt me. If he was really Bruce Wayne, I know that the Wayne's children have never given up on pursuing the case that year. The death of Wayne and his wife is very strange. I have turned over the file of the case, and there are too many things wrong. If Wayne is Batman, then of course he would not trust any police officers, including me."

"The police in Gotham City..." Gordon sighed, "I know that the police in this city are like a decoration and can't count on them in anything." He seemed a little depressed, sighed, took a sip of coffee, and then remained silent.

Schiller said: "As a stone in the quagmire, you are already hard enough. You can't expect anyone to fish you out. It's better to roll bigger and bigger yourself. When you occupy the entire quagmire, it's no different from a tar road."

"Do you think so? Do you think I should continue on this road?" Gordon also seemed a little confused.

It’s no wonder that he is so depressed. He took huge risks and put in countless energy to solve the case, and the credit was robbed. Gordon was originally just to uphold justice, but now someone has to let go of the murderer who slaughtered dozens of civilians for the sake of his interests. This is really a big blow to Gordon.

Schiller smiled and said, "Detective Gordon, it seems you need a psychological treatment, but it happens that I am also a psychiatrist and there is no charge."

Gordon smiled reluctantly and said, "I have seen your resume on the archives. Professor Schiller, a well-known psychologist like you, will treat me as my year-end bonus. No matter what, thank you."

Schiller said: "No thanks, it is my honor to help a good policeman in Gotham."
