Chapter 17 Bold Ideas
The northwest border area of the Isaac Kingdom is in full swing.
The orcs were killing wildly and looting the villages and towns of the human race. The cavalry regiment of the Wind and Snow Legion attacked everywhere, specifically targeting small orc troops in the villages and towns, which also made the orcs pay a heavy price.
All of this has nothing to do with Arthur and his 7th squadron. They had no way to break through the orc's defense line and meet with the large army, and could only continue wandering in the woods.
Compared to the human villages that robbed the rich and rich human villages, orcs were too lazy to pay attention to such an insignificant human army. The orcs were chasing them and retreated one day later.
In the next few days, the Seventh Squadron not only did not be attacked by orcs, but also took in more than a dozen surviving soldiers from other squadrons, all of whom were smart veterans. They hid in tree holes or snow pits and escaped death.
Arthur directly organized them into his three squads, and the strength of the Seventh Squadron was strengthened.
Arthur and his team had been wandering in the woods for five days. What can be confirmed now is that Bronte did not deliberately conceal the news of his retreat that day, and all the squadrons in the regiment were attacked that night.
Without the supply from the rear, it is generally difficult for the troops to hold on in the forest, but because of the strange existence of Arthur, his space bracelet stores a large amount of food and water. As well as the existence of Alia, the light Pastor, the independent survival ability of the Seventh Squadron is guaranteed.
Several fires were lit in the forest. Except for the soldiers scattered around the watch, the soldiers of the Seventh Squadron sat around the fire. There was an iron pot on the fire, which was cooked in a mixture of porridge and jerky meat.
Arthur, Alia, Jose and others sat together. Jose was gently stirring the porridge pot with his sword, and the fragrance of rice and meat gradually spread out.
"Captain, we have to make plans early. Hunting alone will not be able to support the consumption of more than 40 people. In a few days, I'm afraid there will be no more porridge." Jose whispered.
"How long will this war last?" Arthur asked another question.
"It's not clear, if the orcs are just planning to solve the food problem as usual, they will take the initiative to retreat when the orcs wasteland can produce enough harvest in the summer. Even if they don't want to retreat, the two legions of Fengxue and Frost Thunder and the reinforcements coming from the inland will drive them back. But if the orcs have other intentions, and other orc tribes will participate in the war in the future, it may be possible for the war to last two or three years."
Arthur was a little surprised, "You mean that the only part of the orc tribes that invaded our human border this time?"
"Well, just some orc tribe warriors who depend on the Golden Lion family."
"Old Jose, you are getting more and more awesome. After fighting with the opponent for a war, you can tell which tribe these orcs belong to?" Even the monkey was surprised by this.
Jose smiled stupidly, "It is actually not difficult to guess. The three major orc tribes are the Golden Lion, the Blood Flame Cang Wolf and the Sky Blue Eagle. Among the three major tribes, the Golden Lion and the Blood Flame Cang Wolf are not much different in the sphere of influence, but only a few large orc tribes are dependent on the Blood Flame Cang Wolf. If it is an invasion led by the Blood Flame Cang Wolf, most of the orcs will be werewolf and wolf cavalry."
"The Golden Lion Family is the oldest family among the orcs. It occupies the orcs' court and regards itself as the beast king. Therefore, most of the orcs and many small tribes are willing to rely on the Golden Lion. Among the orcs that invaded this time, there were orc warriors from many small tribes such as bears, leopards, and elephants. Therefore, I guess they must be orc warriors from the Golden Lion Family."
"Where is the blue eagle that day?" Arthur couldn't help asking. He knew that Leon came from the Golden Lion family, so he was very interested in the three major tribes of the orcs.
"The Sky Blue Eagle has the smallest sphere of influence, but most of the people who depend on them are the Winged Man tribes with flying abilities among the orcs. The Winged Man warriors from the Sky Blue Eagle are also the most difficult among the three tribes."
"Oh, there are still orcs who can fly? I have been in the army for five years, but I have never seen any of them before." The monkey interrupted.
"The Sky Blue Eagle Tribe's sphere of influence is in the Rocky Mountains, the northernmost part of the Orc Wasteland. Because it is too far away, they rarely fight with our human race. The last time I saw the Winged Man warrior among the Orcs was the battle in the Sighing Canyon twelve years ago?"
"Twelve years ago, Sighing Canyon?" Arthur's heart moved, "Isn't it the battle that Keynes Division paid a huge price? What happened in that battle, which made the orcs rarely appear among the Winged Man warriors join the battle?" Arthur fell into deep thought again.
"Captain, have a bowl of porridge." Alia brought the porridge to Arthur, gently pushed his arm, and then pulled Arthur out of his contemplation.
Arthur took two sips of porridge before slowly saying, "Since this war is not visible for a short time, we cannot always hide in the woods. We must first think of some ways to solve the food source problem."
"How about we find a way to attack the orc's supply transport team?" the monkey suggested.
"No." Jose directly rejected the monkey, "Unlike our human army, orc warriors basically do not rely on supplies. Most of their food is robbed of us. Even if there is a small amount of supply in the rear, they are guarding the heavy army. We have no chance at all."
"I think we can find a way to get alone orcs. We are so hungry, so let's eat them!" Lund said in a silence.
Lund's words scared Alia beside her so much that her face turned pale. She ate orcs, and it was disgusting to think about it.
"Maybe we can change our thinking." Arthur said slowly, "Since the orcs can loot our village supplies, why can't we rob the orcs' tribes? Moreover, the adult warriors from various orc tribes have been transferred to the battlefield, and there must be not many warriors left in the small tribe."
Jose, Monkey and Lund's eyes lit up, "Yes, go to the orcs for a job!"
Because of Arthur's accidental idea, the Seventh Squadron went further and further on the road of mavericks...
......
Singalol, Grand Duke Palmer.
Mrs. Gloria was packing her clothes for middle-aged scribe Shino, muttering softly: "Why did my father have to take you there this time?"
"The Wind and Snow Legion has fought with the orcs. The Frost Thunder Legion may participate in the battle at any time. Your father must go to the legion in person."
"I mean my father is enough to go there, why do you have to follow me?"
Shino sneered, "Only your younger brothers, since your elder brother died, you have the courage to rush forward in fighting for power and profit, and let them lead troops to fight with orcs. It's too late to hide back one by one. Your father asked me to follow him because he was worried that no one would be available at critical moments."
"My father already knows that your meridians have recovered?"
Shino suddenly stepped forward and hugged Gloria, "Only you are so simple, what can you really hide from him?"
"Did you say my father intended you to take over the Legion?"
Xino sighed, "Even if the grand duke has this idea, your younger brothers will not agree. If one day I am forced to protect myself, you must be mentally prepared."
Gloria leaned her head completely against her husband's neck and whispered softly in her ear, "Since I left this home with you before, I have given up on them."
