Chapter 3: War Means (1)

On the morning of the same day Ella invited the merchants to the banquet, twenty nobles from the Federation of Almany arrived at the port early. When they came to Gotland, they wore casual clothes and only had their own weapons, but now they had bought a full set of armor on the streets of Gotland, looking a little elite.

However, they could not forget the faces of the pirates working in the blacksmith shop: No matter what weapons they were going to buy, the pirates would grin and rub their hands and say, "Sorry, they have been ordered by the King of Sweden. Why don't you go elsewhere?" No matter which blacksmith shop said the same thing. Tomorrow these nobles will go to war, and wearing casual clothes will be equivalent to going to die. In the end, they had to pay two or three times the price to purchase finished armor. Some nobles even wrote a lot of IOUs because they didn't carry enough coins.

Therefore, the faces of these nobles were all filled with gloom. Before the people who were riding in the pirate kingdom arrived, they gathered together in private and complained.

"I couldn't sleep last night, and the more I thought about it, the more angry I got! What power does a pirate king have to let me fight for him?"

"I heard that the son of Earl Songdegao was beaten so hard that he vomited blood and could no longer get up. It was tolerant, but who would not be able to get up!"

"When I inherit my territory, I must lead my troops myself to give the Pirate Kingdom a look!"

"Don't say these words here. Being heard will only make our situation even more difficult." Eber, the eldest son of the Duke of Picardy, whispered, "We are not the opponents of the Pirate King. Let's do as he said, find opportunities to contact their families, and then let them find ways to save us."

“Do we really have a chance to contact our family?”

"If the Pirate King wants to send troops, he has to spend time to recruit soldiers, summon lords from all over the country, and mobilize food and grass from all over the country. He can't move for a long time." Eber analyzed, "During this period, people will be more busy than they are now. We have the opportunity to secretly pass the letter."

Everyone nodded. Eber is the son of the Duke, and it is said that the magic power is about to reach the elves level. Whether it is status or force, it can convince these nobles of the Almany Federation.

——"Hey! Are you from the Allemany Federation?"

A shout came from the direction of the port. Everyone looked up and found a long ship unique to the pirate kingdom was docking there, with three pirates lazily lying on it, and another young man in red armor was standing on the boat and calling them.

"Stop being slow, come on the boat!" the young man continued to shout at them, "Let's go first on the boat so that we can grab the vanguard's position. When the boss comes, we will not be able to cut off a few enemies."

Eber looked in that direction for a while, then secretly made a gesture to the nobles of Almani, signaling them to come closer. But he heard him pressing his voice and said, "It seems that we are here to pick up our ship, and the Pirate King is not here yet. I think now is the best time to escape."

"How to escape?"

"Just just take the boat and row it. The young man seemed to be an elf-level magician, so I will hold it back. You can stop the other three pirates, and then divide half of them to help me. The other half ignored the situation on the boat. After robbing the boat, they rowed immediately. After rowing out of the port, they made sure that the enemy reinforcements could not come, and then deal with the young man together."

After arranging the task, everyone walked carefully towards the direction of the boat.

"I'm Bjorn. This time the boss asked me to take you." The young man urged, "Go on the boat quickly, we're going to set off!"

Eber exchanged eyes with other nobles, and suddenly, they took out their weapons together and rushed towards the ship!

Bjorn sighed. He squatted down, picked up his spear from the boat, pointed forward, and a scorching magic power rolled towards the Almani nobles in front of him. The huge force flowing in frightened the nobles. In an instant, they dispersed and lay down. The magic power hit the ground behind them, and rolled up smoke.

Only Eber waved the sword without fear, used his magic to dispel the oncoming Bjorn's magic, and rushed straight towards Bjorn. But he was already out of touch with his teammates behind him. Bjorn shook his head again. He used the spear as a stick and waved towards Eber's side face. Eber raised his sword and blocked it hard, but Bjorn's wrist only shook slightly, and the sword cracked into pieces.

Eber knew that he had no way out, so he immediately threw the hilt of the sword towards Bjorn, and at the same time squatted down, picked up the fragments of a quick sword, and rushed forward to carry out the final battle!

However, Bjorn gently pressed the spear onto him and shook his head: "Don't move, boss is here."

Ebert shook all over, and at the same time, Hestein's shout sounded from a distance: "Bjorn! What's going on here?"

"It's nothing, just try to see how this group of people is capable of." Bjorn replied, "To be honest, it's okay, it's not as unbearable as you described by the boss."

As he said that, he threw the spear onto the ship. Then, he patted Eber on the shoulder with his hand and said softly, "Remember, I owe me a favor."

In Eber's astonishment, Bjorn left them and walked towards Hestein.

Hestein was surrounded by about sixty soldiers, each of whom was fully armed like the nobles of Almani. Bjorn came to him, nodded, and said, "Boss, the ship is ready. When are you going to set off?"

"Now."

"Now? We have come to Gotland, don't we bring Scipio's troops?"

"That guy is preparing to entertain the merchants of the Almani Federation." Hestein kept walking towards the harbor, saying that he wanted to resolve this incident through diplomatic means."

"It's hard to imagine any diplomatic means that people can voluntarily return a whole ship of gold." Bjorn said afterwards.

"Yes. The merchants of the Almani Federation are not as strong as those of the Island Republic and the Republic of Liguria, and they cannot play any role. She is wasting time. We cannot waste it. Go out to sea now and catch all the pirates in one place!"

"Now? The army has not yet been assembled in Zealand..."

"It's not necessary to assemble the army when fighting a group of pirates. I have sixty people, plus the twenty or so Almani nobles, are enough."

"Eighty people? Aren't you going to attack Normandy in the future?"

Hestein glanced at Bjorn: "When we need to attack Normandy, have the army not yet assembled? Bjorn, if you can't even figure out this, you will not be qualified to challenge me again."

"So that's it, thank you for your advice," Bjorn nodded, "But brother, I think the time to go to sea will have to be postponed for half a day later."

"Why?"
