Chapter 12 The Principal Leaves (2)
Hagrid threw away the fruit cake. Yashi and Harry Ron quickly put on their invisibility cloak and retreated to the corner. Hagrid asked them to hide, grabbed his bow and arrow, and once again opened the door.
"Good evening, Hagrid."
The person who came was Dumbledore, who walked in and looked extremely serious. He was immediately followed by another quaint person.
The stranger was a low-key man with a scattered hair and anxious expression. He wore a very strange outfit: a pinstriped suit, a bright red tie, a black cloak and purple pointed shoes, and a yellowish-green top hat under his arms.
"That's Dad's boss!" Ron gasped. "Connelly Forge, Minister of Magic."
Ha hit Ron hard with his elbow and shut up.
Hagrid turned pale and sweaty. He fell into a chair and his eyes turned from Dumbledore to Cohen Lills.
"Bad things, Hagrid," Connelly Forge said in a hurry, clear and emotional voice, "It's so bad, I have to come, several attacks on non-wizards, things are done too much. The Ministry of Magic has to take action."
"I never," Hagrid looked at Dumbledore with a pleading look, "You know I've never done it, Professor Dumbledore, this one..."
"I hope you understand, Forge, I have full trust in Hagrid." Dumbledore frowned at Forge.
"Albert, look." Fudge was a little uncomfortable, "Hagge's record was against him. The Ministry of Magic had to do something--the Hogwarts board had contacted us."
"But, Connelly Forge, I tell you, taking Hagrid away wouldn't help." Dumbledore's blue eyes burned with flames.
"In my opinion." Fudge played with the top hat in annoyance. "I was under a lot of pressure. I had to do something. If it was proven that it was not Hagrid, he would be put back and there was nothing to say. But I had to take him away. Must. Do I fulfill my duties-"
"Take me away?" Hagrid shivered, "Where do you take me?"
"Just stretch your hands and feet." Lills did not look at Hagrid's eyes, "This is not a punishment, Hagrid, just a prevention. If we catch someone else, we will apologize to you and let you out..."
"Not Azkaban?" Hagrid said in a low, hoarse voice.
Another knock on the door was before Connelly Foggy's answer.
Dumbledore went to answer the door, and this time Harry's ribs were pushed by his elbow because he gasped.
Lucius Malfoy, he strided into Hagrid's cottage. He wrapped himself in a long black travel cloak with a cold and satisfied smile on his face. Teeth began to growl.
"Already here, Connelly Forge," Lucius agreed, "very good, very good."
"What are you doing here?" Hagrid said angrily. "Get out of my house."
"My dear, believe me, I have no interest in staying with you--well--do you call this a house?"
Lucius Malfoy sneered around the secret room. "I just called the school and was told that the principal was here."
"What the hell do you want to do, Lucius Malfoy?" Dumbledore said, speaking politely, but the flames were still burning in his blue eyes.
"It's a terrible thing, Dumbledore," said Mr. Malfoy, who took out a long sheepskin draft.
"But the board thinks it's time to get you on the side." This is the suspension order - you can find all 12 signatures on it. We feel like you are losing your previous abilities. How many attacks have been there so far? There are two more this afternoon, aren't it? At this rate, Hogwarts is not non-wizarding. We all know what a terrible loss this is for the school."
"Oh, now, look here, Lucius Malfoy," Connelly Forge looked a little panicked, "Dumbledore doubted... no, no, we just wanted to..."
“The appointment or suspension of the principal is all the matter of the board, Cohen Lills,” said Mr. Lucius Malfoy calmly, “Since Dumbledore has failed to stop these attacks…”
"Now, Lucius Malfoy, if Dumbledore can't stop them-" Cohen Rilles said. His upper lip began to tremble, "I mean, who can?"
"This remains to be seen." Lucius said with a malicious smile. "But since we all voted for..."
Hagrid suddenly jumped up, his messy black hair hitting the ceiling. "So how much have you blackmailed before they agree?" he roared.
"Dear, dear, you know, your bad temper will cause you trouble these days, Hagrid," said Malfoy. "I advise you not to yell at the guards of Azkban like you did just now, they wouldn't like you."
"You can't take Dumbledore with you!" Hagrid shouted, frightening the male hound's teeth and retreating into the basket and whimpering in a low voice. "If you take him away, there will be no chance of non-wizard blood! The next one is the Holocaust!"
"Calm down, Hagrid," Dumbledore rebuked. He looked at Lucius Malfoy. "If my superiors wanted to waive my post, I would naturally accept it."
"But-" Connelly Forge stammered.
"No," Hagrid growled.
Dumbledore did not move his bright blue eyes away from Lucius Malfoy's cold gray eyes.
"But," Dumbledore said slowly and clearly so that everyone would not miss a word, "You will find that only when no one trusts me here can I really leave this school. You will also find that at Hogwarts, our students will grow up in difficulties. They will not be defeated by some difficulties, they even need difficulties!"
Under the cloak, Ahi squinted his eyes, as he seemed to feel Dumbledore's eyes looking here as he spoke.
"A reverent view." Malfoy bowed, "We will all miss your—well—the highly personal way of managing things, Dumbledore. We only hope that your successor can find ways to prevent—ah—'murder'." He strode towards the wooden door, opened it, and bowed out of Dumbledore.
Connelly Forge fiddled with his top hat, waiting for Hagrid to come to him. But Hagrid stood firmly, took a deep breath, and said seriously, "If anyone wants to find any clues, they just follow the spider. That will take them in the right direction. That's what I'm going to say."
Connelly Forge glared at him in surprise.
"Okay, I'm going." Hagrid put on his thick twill top. But he stopped again when he was about to follow Connelly Forge out the door and yelled, "I'll have someone feed my teeth when I'm not here."
The door slammed and Ron pulled down the invisibility cloak.
"We're in trouble now," he said sadly. "Without Dumbledore, they might also close the school tonight, and the attack will become once a day after he leaves."
