Four hundred and ninetieth seventh helmet is good

Finally, Mhamad's eyes fell on the top of his head, and the model man was wearing a helmet.

Speaking of helmets, they have existed since ancient times. At that time, warriors were wearing armor. With the emergence of hot weapons, the armor's resistance was limited, so they gradually withdrew from the stage of history.

Modern helmets are probably going back to World War I. It is said that one day, a French soldier was on duty in the kitchen. Suddenly, German shells attacked, and smoke filled the smoke and shrapnel flew everywhere. In this terrible attack, the brave soldier held a pot on his head and climbed on the ground and did not dare to move. He heard countless metal collisions, and shrapnel flying in the air hit the iron pot and were shot down one after another. The soldier was safe and sound. A general named Adrian learned about this and immediately ordered the development of a metal helmet that could be bulletproofed. So, modern steel helmets appeared.

After that, the material of the helmet was always steel until the Americans created Kevlar and made Kevlar helmets. This material was not considered to be blooming internationally until the 21st century, and many countries mastered the technology.

Therefore, the helmet in Pakistan is still a steel helmet, a gk80 steel helmet, with a shape similar to that of the Chinese army's QG02 helmet of later generations. It uses low alloy ultra-high strength steel, weighs 1.1 kg to 1.2 kg, and has a thickness of about 1 mm. Its bulletproof performance is comparable to that of the US military m1. The lining inside is not a simple nylon belt, but uses the same suspension system as that of later generations, fixed by jaw belt, and a back head to prevent bullets from hitting the helmet from coming from behind, and the helmet will hit the user's forehead or nose bridge. This suspension system is not directly fixed by holes in the helmet, which will reduce the strength of the helmet, but is similar to the double-layer design of the M1 helmet, which is made of soft plastic inside, and the shape is the same as the MiH helmet. There is no ear protection, which makes it convenient to use headphones, and the outer layer is covered with the outer helmet of the QG02 helmet. There is also a layer of digital camouflage cloth outside the helmet.

This suspension system can evenly distribute the weight of the helmet across the entire head. You will not feel the load on the head afterwards. Otherwise, unless it is an ethnic group like Yunnan people who are holding the east and west on the head all day, ordinary people will feel uncomfortable pressing on the head.

Mhamad tried to wear it and felt very comfortable, even more comfortable than the captured Soviet titanium helmet.

"Well, this helmet is good," said Mhamad. "It can be produced in large quantities and equipped our front-line troops."

The helmet is also wearing bulletproof and windproof goggles. The most important thing is to prevent the shell from splashing and hitting the eyes. In the jungle and QB environment, comrades or their own shells are likely to rebound in places like woods, especially dust splashes like grenades. The main purpose is to prevent windproof, especially when they arrive in desert areas, goggles can play a great role.

"Our troops will gradually transform from mechanization to informatization," said Mhamad. "All kinds of infantry fighting vehicles will be equipped with more electronic systems, and individual combat will not be left behind. We need more advanced digital equipment, which can effectively improve our combat effectiveness."

Using more advanced technologies and armed with digital technology, the commanders at the highest level can even know the location of each soldier and directly issue combat orders to the soldiers at the grassroots level. This efficiency is definitely incomparable to the current command system.

Mhamad, who came from later generations, naturally saw further.

After inspecting the development of individual equipment, Mhamad returned to Islamabad and received good news that the negotiations with the Hong Kong company had been completed. The other party sold the stranded tanker to Pakistan at the best price.

Mhamad immediately ordered the dispatch of rescue ships to the Persian Gulf to rescue the stranded tanker, a new source of income for Pakistan!

"Mr. President, there is another thing." The tanker's matter ended, and Old Arslan came in and said to Mhamad.

"What's the matter?" Mhamad buried his head in handling the documents. Many things needed to be handled by him personally. It is now mid-1988. This year, the main task is still to develop the economy.

"The counterfeit Tomcat fighter we made ourselves has completed all ground tests. If the weather is good tomorrow, the first flight will be carried out." Old Arslan said to Mhamad.

The tomcat is about to fly for the first time!

Last year, Mhamad visited China and learned that all the surveying and mapping work had been completed and the technical data had been obtained. The development of the digital telex system assisted by China was coming to an end. Mhamad decided to build his own Tomcat fighter in his own aviation industry company in Pakistan!

To this end, a large amount of equipment was also purchased from the West, including large forging presses for making titanium alloy beams.

When the equipment was ready, it was the end of last year. The workers were busy for more than half a year and finally saved up two Tomcat fighter jets in their factory!

In the past, Pakistan had the ability to overhaul the Tomcat fighter and was very familiar with the various components of the Tomcat fighter. With the help of Eastern technicians, he had learned all the structural data. In this case, Pakistan's imitation finally began.

In fact, Pakistan has overcome many technical difficulties. The 110 engine can be produced by itself. (The previous article is written as 100 engine, which is purely a typo. I am very sorry.) Avionics equipment can be copied by itself. After the telex system of China's side has been completely developed, in fact, the last body is left, which is also the least technically difficult.

As long as you master the manufacturing of titanium alloys and have large-scale manufacturing equipment, you can build this kind of fighter.

After receiving the news, Mhamad was very happy that Pakistan's aviation industry has made rapid progress and has been able to copy Tomcats so far!

When Mhamad arrived at his own airline, the two Tomcat fighters that had been manufactured, one in the factory and the other on the runway.

The one in the factory was filled with lines, and next to it was an electronic computer.

"This is the first fighter we built ourselves. In order to thoroughly understand the performance of our fighter, our prototype is used for static testing." The person in charge said to Mhamad.

Static testing! It is to apply corresponding pressure to each part of the fighter, study the body's stress, fatigue strength, etc. This is a necessary step in the development of a new fighter. In the development of almost every fighter, the first prototype is used to do this.

"Well, respect science," Mhamad said: "Our Tomcat fighter jets must understand all the technology."

Later generations A San also thought he was a major aviation power and could even assemble Su-30 fighter jets themselves. However, the aircraft they built themselves often had mechanical failures, even if they had been overhauled, they would have many failures after leaving the factory.

Mhamad cannot let his side make the same mistake. Everything must respect science. Although it is a copy, he must thoroughly understand all the performance of his side's fighter jets.

"Let's go to the runway and see our fighter planes." Old Arslan was in high spirits.

The number of fighter jets in the Pakistan Air Force is not enough. Now, more than 20 fighter jets have been uniformly released for the newly established naval carrier-based aircraft troops, and the number of fighter jets is even smaller. I originally planned to order another batch with the United States, but unfortunately, due to various reasons, the contract was not reached. Now, Pakistan can finally build fighter jets by itself! Old Arslan is naturally very happy.

On the runway, the newly built fighter plane stayed there quietly. The plane had not been sprayed with color. You can see the original metallic luster of the aluminum alloy skin covered on the surface, shining in the sun.

Double-engine, double-hooked tail, a typical big cat. If you look closely, you can find some subtle differences. For example, the windshield is already an integral type, and the shape of the airspeed tube in front is also somewhat different.

"Report to the President, Pakistan's First Test Flight Team is preparing to test flight our new fighter jet, test pilot Kamal." Kamal said to Mhamad with his flight helmet.

Kamar, who was the captain of the J-6 flight squadron, was later replaced with a Tomcat fighter jet with superb flight skills and shot down two enemy aircraft. When Pakistan decided to set up a test flight brigade, Kamar stood out from many pilots and became a glorious test pilot. Later, he was sent to the UK to study and mastered more test pilot skills.

Test pilots are a dangerous profession. Pilots can fly an aircraft according to the flight manual. Even if they enter the tail spin, they can be successfully modified as long as they are trained in the flight manual. The test pilots are the authors of the flight manual. They are flying unknown aircraft, and the various performances of the aircraft are explored by them.

Every time I go to heaven, I fight with the God of Death. At home and abroad, many of them have fallen into the airplane during the development of various new aircraft. The test pilots have blood sprinkled in the sky. Even the most advanced -22 in later generations have fallen into the airplane during the test flight.

It is not a completely newly developed aircraft now, it is just a copycat. However, it is still a major improvement for Pakistan and a huge challenge for test pilots.

Mhamad nodded and said, "Are our planes ready? Especially the telex system, can we ensure that everything is foolproof?"
Chapter completed!
