Chapter 98 Large-scale feint

.The Chinese Air Force did take action, but it was not a fatal blow. (Remember me)

At around 12 noon on June 2, the Chinese Air Force dispatched dozens of fighter jets again to carry out a second electromagnetic strike on the joint fleet.

This time, the one who was responsible for the strike mission was not the J-20, but the cruise missile launched by the FBC-1c from 300 kilometers away.

It can be said that the tactics arranged by Yang Yu's side are impeccable.

Although the J-20 proved its value in the morning's strike, Yang Yu's side, considering that the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force learned lessons, would definitely strengthen air defense forces against the J-20, such as sending more F-22a to stand by on the assault routes that J-20 must pass. If you use J-20 again, it is very likely that the gain will not be worth the loss. Therefore, he changed his tactical arrangements and exposed the FBC-1c aircraft group that had never had the chance to play.

This is also the first appearance of FBC-1c in this war.

In the Second Korean War, fbc-1c performed not badly. At that time, most j-11 and j-10 were used to perform air control missions. fbc-1c became the main tactical air strike platform in the hands of the volunteers and played a great role in several large-scale air battles.

However, this single-purpose fighter did not get favored by the Air Force and HNA.

Ultimately, it is that its purpose is too single and is not suitable for the existing needs of the Chinese Air Force and HNA.

After the Second Korean War, the Air Force and HNA spent a lot of effort to improve the J-11 and J-10, accelerating the development of the J-20, but not improving the FBC-1c. The main reason is that through the Second Korean War, the Chinese Air Force realized that it would take a long time to build a sufficiently powerful air force, and when confronting strong hostilities, the most needed air combat aircraft with both strike capabilities is air-controlling fighters.

This judgment was confirmed in the East China Sea conflict.

Before attacking the Third Guard Group, the Chinese Air Force and HNA mainly fought air combat. Even in the first battle on the night of May 29, HNA took the initiative to attack, but it was also fighting against air. In the battle against the Third Guard Group, bombers were responsible for the strike mission, not fighters.

In this way, fbc-1c naturally has no place to use it.

However, the purpose of this fighter cannot be completely denied. In certain specific environments, the combat efficiency of fbc-1c must exceed j-11, or even j-20.

For example, HNA's FBC-1c can fly for several hours at an ultra-low altitude of less than 20 meters.

Affected by the wing load, the stability of j-11c and j-20 at ultra-low altitude flight is far less than that of fBC-1c, and pilots are prone to fatigue during long-distance raids.

If you need to conduct a long-distance raid and need to be super low-altitude penetration, fbc-1c is definitely the ideal choice.

In addition, the fbc-1c is a professional attack aircraft, equipped with a more complete navigation system, and its individual penetration capability exceeds the j-11, which mainly focuses on air combat. Without the support of early warning aircraft, the fbc-1c can launch attacks on targets a thousand kilometers away, and the navigation error will not exceed 500 meters. If it is replaced by j-11, not only will the navigation error be much larger, but it must also be supported by early warning aircraft or other support aircraft.

This battle requires long-distance raids and requires ultra-low altitude penetration, so the Chinese Air Force used the FBC-1c to take on the main strike mission.

In terms of tactical arrangements, Yang Yufang still asked a large number of air-controlling fighters to undertake feint attack missions.

Because of the first strike, Yang Yufang asked the Air Force to send several J-20s.

As he expected, the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force expanded the air defense alert range, and the forward f-22a intercepted the j-20 leading the air-controlling fighter.

As a result, the second large-scale air combat of the day broke out between two hundred kilometers west of the joint fleet.

In this air battle, neither side took advantage.

The only one that the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces can use is twenty-three F-22a, which does not have an advantage in terms of force, while the early warning aircraft of the Chinese Air Force and HNA did not come forward and does not have an advantage in terms of information.

At this time, the FBC-1c launched a long-range cruise missile less than fifty kilometers east of the Diaoyu Islands, that is, to the west of the East China Sea Fleet.

The twelve FBC-1cs participating in the war each launched two long-range cruise missiles.

The number is not very large, but it is enough to destroy the last silver lining of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force to save the joint fleet.

These cruise missiles are all equipped with electromagnetic warheads, and the entire range is super low-altitude penetration. The flight altitude is only two meters away from the sea surface, and it almost shuttles on the top of the waves.

The missile was detected by e-3g only when it was less than 100 kilometers away from the fleet.

At this time, all f-22a was put into air combat, and the f-15j, which had no electromagnetic confrontation ability, remained over Okinawa, and the warships in the joint fleet could not fight.

As a result, at least twenty of the twenty-four cruise missiles detonated over the joint fleet.

At that time, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force had not yet repaired the control system for warship power equipment, and all the electronic equipment used for repair were exposed.

After the electromagnetic warhead was detonated, the hope of repairing the warship was completely shattered.

Although the maintenance equipment can be transported again and the warships can set sail in a few hours, the Chinese Air Force will definitely launch another operation.

As long as the threat posed by electromagnetic weapons cannot be resolved, the Joint Fleet will not be allowed to return to Naha.

After this round of attacks, the fate of the Japanese Joint Fleet was destined.

However, before the arrival of Chinese submarines, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Forces and the Japanese authorities will never give up the opportunity to save the joint fleet.

After receiving the news, Taichiro Kida called Chandler on the way to Washington, asking the United States to urgently provide a batch of air combat aircraft. In order to emphasize the importance of these fighters, Taichiro Kida directly mentioned that the F-22A aircraft group in Guam was allocated to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force.

In this way, these fighters will arrive in Okinawa in another four hours.

In order to get these fighters to be put into combat immediately, the Air Self-Defense Force will dispatch all K-767s to refuel the F-22a over the Philippine Sea east of Okinawa.

In other words, these fighter jets will carry air-to-air ammunition when taking off.

Considering the urgency of the situation, Chandler agreed to Kida Taichiro's request, and then issued an order to the US military stationed in Guam to allow the two squadrons to take off with the F-22a bounce.

In fact, Chandler had adjusted the US military deployment at that time. Anderson Air Force Base's F-22a was originally planned to be provided to Japan, but as planned, it was not until June 5 that the other three squadrons' F-22a arrived and then flew to Yokosuka's Air Force Base together.

Since Japan has demand, it is not a big deal to deliver these fighter jets in advance.

The problem is that it will take four hours at the earliest to arrive.

Is there four hours left for the Joint Fleet?

Before the air combat began, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force discovered several suspicious targets near the joint fleet, and it was determined that they were submarines of the Chinese Navy.

It was just that the air combat that started next forced anti-submarine patrol aircraft to evacuate from the battlefield.

After the Chinese Air Force's fighter jets retreated, the anti-submarine patrol aircraft returned to the battlefield, but failed to find the submarines.

The Maritime Self-Defense Force has no choice but to narrow the search scope of the anti-submarine patrol aircraft and focus on monitoring the 50 kilometers of sea areas around the fleet.

As for the peripheral anti-submarine, it is impossible to take care of it.

It must be admitted that the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force has profound skills in anti-submarine. After all, in the past few decades, the main task of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force has been anti-submarine.

Relying on a large number of anti-submarine patrol aircraft, an airtight anti-submarine barrier was built near the joint fleet.

According to some information released after the war, on the morning of the second day, at least four Chinese submarines tried to break through the anti-submarine network and attack Japanese warships paralyzed on the sea, but none of these submarines' efforts were effective. In addition to the problems of the submarine themselves, that is, the arrival of conventional submarines at that time, failed to seize the opportunity to approach the joint fleet after the anti-submarine patrol aircraft was evacuated, which was also related to the anti-submarine tactics of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force.

Anyway, no captain will challenge the anti-submarine patrol aircraft without any confidence.

However, this situation changed around 2 pm.

After twelve o'clock air combat, just one and a half hours later, the Chinese Air Force dispatched again, and HNA also invested dozens of fighter jets.

In contrast, the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force does not have such strong capital.

At that time, there were only eight f-22a patrolling over the joint fleet, and only twelve f-15j left behind, while six f-22a that took off urgently and twelve f-15j.

In other words, the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force only invested thirty-eight fighter jets.

As a prelude to the submarine's assault, the Chinese Air Force and HNA invested 92 fighter jets in one go, including twelve J-20s.

More importantly, the kj-2000 that had not been used before was also launched.

According to Yang Yufang's arrangement, the kj-2000 will arrive over the East China Sea Fleet to guide fighters.

In order to enhance air command capabilities, HNA also dispatched two KJ-200s, and a strategic electronic reconnaissance aircraft was responsible for communication transfer.

You should know that at this time, the impact of the sunspot explosion is the most obvious.

With the number of fighter jets not prevailing, the Air Self-Defense Force only used two e-3gs and one ec-135, and did not send more early warning aircraft and electronic reconnaissance aircraft.

Obviously, the balance of air combat fell to the Zhong* team.

The Japanese Air Self-Defense Force did not retreat, but rose up to fight.

It is undeniable that even though we knew that we would definitely lose, Imai Tsukumura had some reservations. For example, we did not send the twelve F-22a that had arrived, nor did we use the F-16cd that was planned to be used to carry out the strike mission, and only invested in the fighter jets that were originally involved in air combat.

Given the situation at that time, even if twelve F-22a and sixty F-18cd were invested, it would be difficult for the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force to maintain air supremacy, at least it could not ensure that anti-submarine patrol aircraft could operate on the battlefield.

Without the cover of anti-submarine patrol aircraft, the joint fleet will inevitably be done.

Unfortunately, when facing the Chinese Air Force, the Maritime Self-Defense Force did not consider this issue.

The reason is very simple. The scale of the Chinese Air Force aircraft fleet is very large, which makes both the Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Air Self-Defense Force believe that the strike comes from the air.

This is also very easy to explain. If air forces can kill the combined fleet, there is no need to let the submarine take risks.
