Compared with the increased displacement, the actual air defense capability of 052d is not much enhanced than that of 052c, and does not have relatively complete comprehensive combat power. For example, only one anti-submarine helicopter is equipped with eight anti-ship missiles and forty-eight regional air defense missiles, which are far lower than the destroyer of the same level. The only reasonable explanation is that the increased displacement of 052d is all used in the electromagnetic confrontation system.

If so, 052d will definitely surpass the same improved "Zumwalter" class. After completion, it will definitely be the most powerful battleship in the world with the most electromagnetic confrontation capabilities.

The reason is very simple. The redesigned "Zumwalter" class has only about 1,000 tons of displacement for electromagnetic confrontation systems, while the 052d is as high as 2,000 tons. Because China is not worse than the United States in the field of electromagnetic confrontation technology, the increased system weight is enough to determine the ability to cope.
