Chapter 300: The Past of Central Asia and Xinjiang

To be honest, Wang Yi did not know the history of Central Asia. He only knew that there was territory there from the Western Han Dynasty to the Western Jin Dynasty. Later, he gradually lost it, and was taken back again in the Tang Dynasty, and then lost it again. He changed hands several times in the middle, and it was not until the Qing Dynasty. In order to understand the details, Wang Yi specially invited experts in this field and asked about it, and then he had a general concept.

Just before and after Wang Yi traveled, there was an Aguba Rebellion in Xinjiang. Later, Zuo Zongtang went to pacify Xinjiang, although it was a success in the end. However, due to Russia's intervention, the Qing Dynasty lost a large area of territory west of Yili. In later generations, the rabbit took back a small piece of territory on the Pamir Plateau, but compared with what was lost, it still came back too little.

When talking about the Agubai Rebellion, we must mention the Dali and Zhuo Rebellion during the Qianlong period, which was the last battle in the Qing Dynasty's unification war.

Hezhuo was originally a name for the descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, which means saints, which means the same as Said in Arabic, and later refers to respected people. In Kashgar, which is one of the four towns in Anxi in the early Tang Dynasty, and later Kashgar, Xinjiang, in later generations, Hezhuo refers to the Kashgar Hezhu family of the Baishan Sect of Hui tribe in Xinjiang.

Xiao and Zhuo are two brothers. Although they are called Kashgar Hezhuo family, they are not considered native Xinjiang people. Their ancestors were Mahdumi Azhamu, the leader of the Nagshbandi sect in Central Asia. Their real name is Ahmed Kasani. Mahdumi Azhamu is his honorary title, meaning "great mentor". As for tracing backwards to whom the ancestors were, there are many different opinions. The descendants of Mahdumi Azhamu were later divided into two hostile branches—

—Meryl and Baishan Sect. In the mid-Ming Dynasty, the Montenegro Hezhuo was supported by the royal family of the Yarkand Khan and became the Muslim religious leader on the southern road of Tianshan in the Western Regions. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the leader of the Baishan Sect, Mamuth Yusubu, came from Central Asia to Kashgar (now Kashgar City) to preach, and was later expelled by the Yarkand Khan and the Montenegro Sect. His son Idayatulera first went to Gansu, and later came to ** to seek support from Dalai Lama and the Mongolian Junggar tribe.

Speaking of which, he also became the leader party, leading the Junggar Khan Galdan to the Yarkand Khanate, and eventually overthrew the rule of the original Khan King Ismayele and supported a puppet regime. Idayatulera himself expelled the leader of the Montenegro faction of Yarkand and began to be known as "Apak Hezhu". The Kashgar Hezhu family, that is, the Apak Hezhu family, began to officially appear on the stage of history.

With the increasing rise of the Apak Hezhu family, Idayatulera had conflicts with the rulers of the Yarkand Khanate, and later the two sides took action. Around 1692, Apak Hezhu defeated the Yarkand Khan Mahamat Emin and controlled Kashgar, Yarkand and other places. Two years later, Apak Hezhu died and rights began to appear. The Kashgar area fell into a melee between the Yarkand Khan, Baishan Sect, Giligis (Brut) and Burkes everywhere.

When Cewang Alabandan succeeded the Junggar Khan, Tianshan South Road was placed under his direct rule. None of the descendants of Hezhuo from Heishan and Baishan factions were left behind and were all moved to the area of Ili (now Huocheng County, Yili Prefecture). When Galdan Celing was in power, he appointed the Montenegro and Zhuodanil to manage the affairs of Yerkang, Kashgar and other places. At this time, Mahamut, the grandson of Apak and Zhuo, had died in the imprisonment. His second sons Poroni and Huo Jizhan were imprisoned in Elinhabirga, northeast of Ili, and were under the supervision of the local Junggar Zaisan Abagas and Hadan brothers, and the two imprisoned brothers were Hezhuo.

In 1755, when Qianlong quelled the Junggar rebellion, Poroni and his younger brother Huo Ji occupied more than 30 people to surrender to the Qing army. After the Ili pacification, the Qing Dynasty ordered them to return to southern Xinjiang, recruit old subordinates, command Uyghur people, and be in charge of Islamic affairs.

However, the Amursana Rebellion followed. This man was originally the left-level general of Dingbian when the Qing army pacified the Junggar. After the rebellion was suppressed, the main force of the Qing army retreated. However, because Amursana coveted the throne of the Junggar Khanate, he defected while going to Rehe. Later, he captured Yili with a group of people, but was quickly pacified. He was desperate and had to flee west to the Kazakh Khanate, which is what we call Kazakhstan. However, because he had a quarrel with the Khan there, he was forced to run to Russia, and died of acne not long after.

But it didn't matter if he made a fuss. Among the brothers of Hezhuo, Xiaohezhuo Huo Jizhan, began to think of becoming king, while Hezhuo Boroni was relatively obedient. However, later he was implicated by his own brothers and had to embark on the road of anti-Qing rebellion.

Because this place has been wars since the Apark and Zhuo family, people's hearts are twisted, and fences have become a habit. Therefore, when the Qing Dynasty army arrived one after another, although it experienced some twists and turns, the strength of Hezhuo was still not as good as that of the Qing Dynasty at this time, so the rebellion did not last long and was destroyed. When Hezhuo saw that the situation was hopeless, he took his family with his family and after plundering some property, he began to flee to the west.

They chose two destinations, one was the Khanate of Kokhan and the other was Badakh Mountain. The former was a powerful Central Asian country. After not being trusted, the other party did not respond. The latter was located in Afghanistan in later generations and became the only choice. The small and small Hezhuo just transferred here and went to Hendustan (southern Kashmir and northern Pakistan). At this time, the Qing Dynasty was still very strong and sent a letter to the Khanate of Central Asia to arrest two people. The tribes in the Badakh Mountain area did not dare to provoke the Celestial Empire, and later killed them in order not to cause trouble for themselves.

Because these two people are descendants of Islamic prophets after all, the imams in the tribe opposed giving up their bodies and even threatened the tribe leader to go to the Holy Land of Mecca to file a complaint, but this could not change the Qing Dynasty's determination to be the only future troubles.

Xiao Hezhuo Huo Jizhan had no son, while Yamato Zhuo Poronidu's son was taken back to the Qing Dynasty, but the Qing court did not make things difficult for them and sent them back to Beijing and incorporated into the Zhengbai Banner.

The problem is that Poroni has a son named Samusak. He was originally planning to do the same thing, but later he found out that the man was transferred. Samusak himself was frightened and fled to Hundus (Kunduz, later Afghanistan). Later, he was controlled by the Khanate of Kokhan. Although the Qing court advised him to return to his country several times, he failed.

The British once planned to help him restore his country, but Samusak died in 1820. His son Zhang Geer took over his unfinished career. With the help of the Kokhan Khanate, another Zhang Geer rebellion broke out, but it also ended in failure, and Zhang Geer became a prisoner.

As we mentioned earlier, Agubo was sent by the anti-Qing elements from the Khanate of the Kokhan, with the purpose of supporting Buluk, the son of Zhanggeer, and seeking to seize Xinjiang. Unexpectedly, stealing chickens and losing rice, the Bukhara Khanate took this opportunity to destroy the Khanate of the Kokhan.
