Section 3 Diary 3

Diary 3 of the third section

Two days of yin

(Today I made up my diary of yesterday)

I never thought I could spend a night in the dark castle.

We arrived at the castle yesterday, but the Duke was unexpectedly not there. We waited there for a long time, and when it was almost dusk, we realized that we might not be able to see the master today, so we planned to say goodbye. But the person in charge of the affairs - a young and beautiful and lovely lady - asked us to stay for the night. She promised that we could spend one night as guests, and perhaps the Duke would come back tonight.

This seems to be in line with a legend of a church - it is said that vampires cannot move in the sun, and the sun will greatly weaken or even hurt them. Therefore, during the day, vampires sleep in a coffin and will only get up and move when it is dark. When I secretly discussed this matter with Donny, he smiled and answered that it was a complete rumor. Because every time he visited the Duke in the past, he met during the day.

I had doubts about the identity of the lady (her name is Leya), and Donnie replied that he did not know the other person's identity. But he believed that Leya was the hostess of the castle.

Anyway, I finally chose to stay. As Donnie told me before, this dark castle looks like a tall tower, but I can't feel it at all when I stay inside. The castle is a very large space, and the rooms are neatly arranged. In terms of the internal living area, the entire castle only has two or three floors, which is no different from an ordinary castle. As for other places, my vigilance exceeds my curiosity. After all, this is a vampire castle, so it's better to cause less trouble.

I saw a lot of women living here. In addition to some maids, there are other women. If Donnie is right, these are all bought by vampires or given to vampires, which are also his food. Donnie secretly told me that the duke's hobbies are very unique. Apart from these young and beautiful virgins, the blood-colored duke has little interest in other things. In terms of personal preferences, he doesn't like money (I think this sentence means not paying much attention to money), jewelry, etc., and only likes beautiful girls. If a stranger wants to give a gift to the duke (for example, it's like taking me to the caravan in Sivania), then he's better buy two beautiful slaves to send them over.

Donnie reminded me not to approach them. I agree with this suggestion.

At night, when it was almost time to go to bed, something suddenly came, and the Bloody Duke wanted to see me. To be honest, I was shocked. Because things were a bit sudden, I was not mentally prepared to meet the vampire. So I thought I must have seemed less natural at that time. When I walked into the living room, Donnie was already talking to the Bloody Duke there. His voice was loud, so I heard him bragging for me - making me unparalleled. Although I was so confident in my craft, Donnie really bragged too much, which made me even more nervous.

Then I met the vampire himself. It was different from the legendary (and I expected) green-faced fangs and evil terrifying image. The Blood-colored Duke looked no different from an ordinary person. He was slightly tall and not thick, but he did not give people a thin feeling. There were no fangs on his face. Although we all know that the most obvious special product of a vampire is the fangs that protrude the lips, the Blood-colored Duke did not have fangs. Because I observed his mouth very carefully (then looking back, this behavior is really stupid, but fortunately the Duke didn't care), and when he needed to open his mouth and pronounce it, he couldn't see fangs in his mouth.

After I sat down, the Duke began to turn the topic to the shipyard. He and I discussed several technical issues in shipbuilding. To my surprise, he seemed to be familiar with the shipbuilding industry... because the knowledge he showed in the discussion and the questions he asked were even in a hurry. I even felt that I was not talking to a vampire, but a business competitor, a skilled colleague. I originally thought that I should give the vampire a lesson (I was so confident in my professional skills), but in fact, things quickly turned upside down. It was me who taught a math class, measurement class and wood processing class under his guidance.

When the conversation ended, the vampire brought me a stack of drawings. I couldn't help but open it and looked at it, and then found that it was a construction drawing of a shipyard and a few design drawings of a ship. I must say that I had never seen such a shipyard, nor that kind of ship. But it just made me fascinated at first sight. This was an extraordinary but clever and unusual design. It made my heart beat violently uncontrollably.

During the conversation, I had a wonderful feeling. Although I could not find anything uneasy in the vampire (as mentioned earlier, he looked exactly like a human), I was instinctively feeling uneasy. I believe this was not my illusion, but that there was indeed some uneasy trait in the vampire. It was not until I got up and said goodbye, and the duke and I shook hands that I realized what was uneasy. It was the eyes of the blood-colored duke. I had never seen such eyes. He smiled and said goodbye to me, but there was no smile in his black eyes, which was a pair of eyes that were more uneasy than death.

The vampire, or the Blood Duke, is not the breath of a living person, but more like a mechanical or a puppet. He is laughing, he is moving, he is talking, but his every move has no vitality at all. This may be just my psychological effect, so I dare not even tell Donnie about this.

Fortunately, we all know that he is not a human, but a vampire.

(Many pages were torn off in the middle of the diary, I don’t know who tore off it.)

17th day rain

The summer in the south is particularly hot. Today's heavy rain finally makes people temporarily escape the poisonous day.

My shipyard has finally been completely built. Today I went around my new shipyard in the rain, and it felt so good. Those clever machinery made people fascinated. I knew I could do a big deal soon and carry forward the ancestral craftsmanship of my family.

Yesterday, Donnie sent someone to send a bill for the shipyard, but I didn't care about it. Because I came to Sivania with almost empty wallets. Of course, I couldn't provide any funds for the construction of the shipyard. The investment in the entire shipyard consists of two parts, one is the Chamber of Commerce and the other is the Scarlet Duke himself. According to a contract, the Scarlet Duke will occupy a quarter of the equity, the Chamber of Commerce will occupy half of the equity, and the remaining equity will be used as a "top stock" and left to the factory manager, that is, me.

In other words, from a commercial perspective, this shipyard is not mine. I am just the person in charge and temporarily owning this quarter of the equity. Of course, I shouldn't complain about anything. It is a hundred times more magnificent than the shipyard I have in the past. It can process and build any known ship (this is the most important) ship that the Duke gave me, the type of ship I have never seen before.

Of course, Donnie assured me that the so-called "equity" is just a conventional gimmick, just a business habit. As long as I don't have any surprises, I can definitely own this shipyard for the rest of my life. I believe what he said is true, because so far, I have prepaid dividends for my entire three years. If I want, I can even prepay for five years.

There is a reason why I need so much money, because I have to buy a mansion in New Town as my residence. Because I know I can't stay at Downey's house for a long time. In addition, I have family problems.

In fact, something unexpected happened. Recently, I got news. For some reason, the people in my hometown learned about my coming to Sivania (especially serving vampires). I believe this might be the ones from my good friends (because I discussed the letter from Donnie to me with them), or maybe my family accidentally let it go (especially my wife...ah, women are all like this). In short, the whole thing caused a big and small storm. Some of my old friends asked someone to send a message to ask about Sivania, and hinted that they also hoped to come here. You know, after my poor shipbuilding factory closed, these old friends' lives were not very easy.

In short, the problem now is that I have to raise a considerable amount of money so that my family can come here too. After this time, I have believed in the fact that the vampire is not as evil and weird as expected. On the contrary, as the ruler, he appears enlightened, just and full of wisdom.

If there is anything here that makes me disgusted, it is probably the pirate ships. Obviously, the Blood Duke and the pirates reached some kind of agreement to agree that they use the port of Sivania and sell stolen goods, including prisoners. This is also a major source of slaves in the Sivania region. But I also admit that these pirates who are vicious are obedient on the sea of Sivania, like harmless sheep. This is certainly not because of their nature, but because of the powerful force of the Duke.

Now, the Duke's subordinates have created some giant undead creatures that can fly (I can now accept that these non-human corpses are present, and even if I encounter a black magician on the road, I won't make a fuss about it. It can be seen that the environment has changed a lot to people). Using their power, the Duke's subordinates are not affected by the diaphragm between the ocean and the land. You must know that even the fastest ships cannot match the flying creatures in speed. I have heard of such rumors. A group of pirate ships that plundered the coastal areas of Sivania were caught up by a huge undead creature the next day, and then completely destroyed in a cruel massacre.

Speaking of this, I have to mention a small thing. The first order my shipyard received came from the Black Magician. Now, I think the black magicians all over the world (or those who plan to become Black Magicians) have gathered in Sivania. Because every day you go out on the streets, you can always meet one or two black magicians. Maybe after spending time together, I have slowly accepted their existence. In fact, they are not as paranoid, crazy, and sick as the legendary ones. When they say hello to them, they will respond politely. When they do business with them, they will also take out real money to pay the bill. I have never heard of how they harassed the cemetery outside the city - at least I have not found any signs of dead people there. It is precisely because of this that I did not hesitate when accepting the order, and it was not until a long time before I realized that something was wrong. May the gods forgive me.

However, vampires are very strange in terms of faith. Everyone knows that the Church of Gods in the Star Realm has been trying to eliminate vampires and set foot on Sivania. This matter is completely public. But even so, vampires still allow the church of Gods in the Star Realm to exist in Sivania. Of course, it is just "allowed". The church has no privileges here, and vampires are not stupid enough to let high-level priests who can use magic to come. Of course, local priests are careful to avoid topics related to vampires. If they talk to believers about this, especially inciting opposition to vampires, they will soon disappear from the city.

No matter what...my new life is about to begin...
Chapter completed!
