Section 5 Port

From Sivania to the north, through the Avenue to the north, through Ryan and Tiberius, you can then enter Tulan east. Tulan is the country located at the northeasternest of the so-called "Seven Central Kingdoms". According to historical records, Tulan was originally developed and created by a tribe here. They relied on marine trade with the elves (as for why the elves traded with the very small and backward Tulan people at that time, there have been many different opinions) and gradually developed and became stronger, and finally became a powerful person.

For the sake of the overlord of this region, when the church expanded its power and spread the spread of faith everywhere, the Tulans easily became believers of the gods in the star field. With the support of the church, the Tulans turned the status of the "overlord" bit by bit into "ruler". When the last country here, a country named Seer, was finally annexed by Tulan, all the forces in this land declared surrender, and from then on there was only one country, a king, and a force on this land.

In terms of economy, the Turan people were famous for their trade with the elves, while in terms of military, the Turan people had powerful cavalry units that looked down on the nations.

There is a saying that the Tulan people can ride anything - from the most ordinary war horses to the rarest dragons, and of course women. Of course, this is just a prejudice with a sarcastic taste. Not to mention anything else, the Tulan people can ride dragons not because they are so smart and amazing. They have mastered relevant techniques from nothing, but because they have learned the skills of taming dragons from elves. Of course, in fact, the symbolic significance of "riding dragons" is far greater than the actual tactical significance. Because there are not many dragons in the entire Tulan. Everyone admits that dragons are very powerful creatures, but this does not mean that dragons are invincible in the world. In fact, so far, there are only a handful of examples of dragons appearing on the battlefield. Looking through all the history books of the church and the country, you can barely make up ten records, and at least half of them are defeated.

However, these have never been a problem for foreigners visiting Tulan. Strictly speaking, no one cares about how valuable the dragon is on the battlefield, and whether the dragon is majestic enough. If foreign nobles and wealthy people visit the country and try to see the style of the so-called "Dragon Knight", then Danzhuoke is a very ideal place for them.

Dandork is a harbor city located on the border with the elves. People today already know that after several major changes in history, the elves have given up their land on the mainland and retreated back to Usuan, the Elf Island, the origin of the mysterious race. However, on the mainland, the elves have also left behind a few coastal towns. These towns are not so strongholds, but rather are external surveillance posts to defend Usuan. Since the place is not large and does not occupy any major transportation routes and strategic areas, the Tulan people have almost no territorial disputes with the elves. Peace and trade have always been the mainstream.

In Dandok, there is a dragon affiliated with the Tulan army stationed. This is because monitoring the movements of the sea requires the powerful power and amazing flight speed of the dragon. Since reconnaissance missions are often performed, the dragon frequently sets and returns, just for the spectators to enjoy the style of the Dragon Knight.

It was late summer and early autumn. There were golden waves of wheat in the plain farmland, and the mountains and forests were dotted with bright red fruits. Because it was a harbor, the temperature was pleasant at this time, which was a great time for entertainment. Pedestrians and business trips were never interrupted on the avenue outside the city. When a traveler riding a tall black horse appeared on the avenue outside the city, it almost did not attract anyone's attention.

This person is Ashu Rufate. Since he set out in Sivania, he has been following Carrie's advice along the way. Carrie's routes were all stable and peaceful roads, and almost every section of the road was protected by local officials or lords, and was the choice of many merchants and travelers. Unlike the desolate and remote places like Sivania, where birds do not shit, on this route, a lonely traveler is not a particularly eye-catching existence. Even if a person gallops on a horse, everyone thinks that he has something urgent to go on or is a playboy who loves sports. Relying on the advantage of the nightmare horse not having to rest, he arrived here about ten days earlier than expected.

"There is Dandrok ahead." Ashurufat looked at the city in the distance and listened to Carrie's introduction in his mind. "The last stop of human territory. Find a ship and we can go to the land of the elves. I believe this is not a difficult task, so I suggest you spend a little time or two to inquire about the situation with the elves' kingdom... After all, the information I have is something from a long time ago and I don't know the new situation."

Dandork's city shape is very distinctive. Many people say that this city was not made by humans, but built by elves. It is hard to say whether it was built by the Tulan people employed elves or whether the city originally belonged to the elves. Of course, these are just legends, and the official Tulan never recognizes this. However, after seeing this city, Ashurufate immediately knew that this legend was not groundless. This city looked like it had a certain elegance and nobility that ordinary cities did not have.

The exterior walls of the city are not the short and thick shape unique to contemporary walls (this is necessary to fight against cannons), but they appear tall, thin, delicate and detailed. However, when they approached, Ashrufate discovered that the city walls were actually far thicker than they looked. Although they did not meet the standards of fortresses, their defense measures as a port city were fully qualified. Moreover, every attached fortification, looking tower, horse face, and arrow tower on the walls were carefully arranged, finding a perfect harmonious path between military uses and gorgeous appearance.

There was no annoying charge at the city gate, only a small group of soldiers were perfunctorily performing alert tasks. However, after entering the city, Ashu Rufate was somewhat surprised to find that this place was not as prosperous as expected.

And this feeling is a bit strange. Although the scenes seen in the city are good, there are quite a few vendors in the market, they are far from the prosperity of the port trading city as expected. In the tavern with open doors on the roadside, you can see many men dressed in porters gathering there to drink and play cards. There are people dressed in three or three merchants walking by on the street, but these people do not feel like they are grabbing time like businessmen. Instead, they are leisurely gaits, and you can tell that they are spending time at a glance. In short, although there seems to be nothing doubtful, they have a wonderful sense of incongruity. He still remembers that when he first arrived in Mir City, Mir City gave him this feeling.

"Carrie, is it because of the season that port transportation is temporarily suspended?" Ashu Rufat asked in his mind. Although he didn't know much about navigation, he also heard that many port cities are seasonal. Some ports are due to the ice, and some are affected by wind and currents. When the wind direction and ocean current are appropriate, the city is very busy due to cargo passing, and on the contrary, it will be in a state similar to the current.

"No!" Carrie's voice was very certain. "Master, I think something must have happened that we had never expected. Let's find someone to ask for it first."

It is indeed necessary to inquire. Ashu Rufate walked on the street with a nightmare horse, looking for a suitable object. The streets were covered with white stones, which should have looked very neat and beautiful, but some places had greatly affected this impression due to the accumulation of garbage. Even if this was once an elves, it is now deeply imprinted by humans.

"Ashu Rufate?!" A voice suddenly came from behind.

The scream was so sudden that the always bold Ash Rufate felt a stiffness in his back.

Someone whom Sivania had met me? Or a spy from the church? Or something else... If he was discovered here, his true identity... Ashu Rufate slowly turned around. He tried his best to keep his face calm and was ready to deny the other party's identification. His body had reached its limit and was ready to enter the battle at any time.

"Ash Rufate, it's you! Haha!"

Standing in front of Ashu Rufate was a middle-aged man in gorgeous clothes. The man wore a delicate hat on his head - which was entirely for showing off and exaggerating, because there was no need for a hat to cover the cold in this season. He wore an embroidered gold dress - this dress with gems as a button was enough to envy famous people, and a long boot on his feet - but just looking at the latest style, you can tell that it is of great value. The man pretended to be wearing a pair of white silk gloves and a gold-coated cane on his hand. In short, every detail of the man's body was announcing to the surroundings, "I am very rich, I am a super rich man."

"…Cosbody..." After a while, Ashu Rufate recognized who the other party was.

The man named Cosbody is a professional gambler, nicknamed "DuoShou". When he was in Mir City, Ashu Rufate met him by chance, and his two partners slaughtered a casino called "Hope Casino" and made a fortune. However, after doing this big deal, Cosbodi left north, while Ashu Rufate went to Sivania, and the two broke up and said goodbye.

It was indeed Cosbody. Since the last time he met, Cosbody has become much fatter, looks better in life and good health. His face has obviously become round, and he is shiny because of his emotions.

"It's me, my dear friend!" Cosbody laughed, stretched out her hands and hugged Ash Rufate. "It's really great to see you here. How happy I'm to see you, haven't you forgotten me?"

"Of course not, I will always remember you." Asu Ruffatt answered sincerely. During his journey from Oren City and traveling to Sivania, if anyone is particularly worthy of his memory, then it is this Cosbody. In fact, seeing Cosbody now makes him very happy. There is no mysterious atmosphere, no hidden things, no political skills and game of thrills, only a face that is excited by seeing an old friend, and a warm embrace full of sincere feelings.

"Oh, my dear friend, why are you here?" Cosbody let go. Ashurufat noticed that he was following two servants, all of whom were beautiful young men, smiling and dressed in exquisite uniforms, following Cosbody respectfully. From this point of view, Cosbody didn't dress like this specifically for a gambling game, he might have made a fortune in the true sense.

"I'm here..." Ashu Rufate couldn't find a suitable excuse for a moment, so he immediately changed the topic. "You look really good... Could you be rich?"

"Get rich? Oh, hahaha... I just made a little money." Cosbody was unexpectedly modest. However, Ashu Rufate could be determined that Cosbody was just showing modesty for a deep-rooted custom, and he did make money.

"Are you..." Ashu Rufate asked tentatively.

"Oh, of course not, dear Ashurufate, I've been quitting that job for a long time!" Cosbody looked at the reins of the horse in Ashurufate's hand. "Hurry up, don't let my friends say that my servants don't understand the rules."

One servant took the reins of the horse from Ashu Rufate, and the other took the backpack he carried with him. Ashu Rufate did not refuse Cosbody's kindness because he was sure that it would be difficult for ordinary people to see the true identity of the Nightmare Horse.

The two men walked side by side, and the horse and the parcel were handed over to the two servants.

"I just came back from an outing outing... Let's go for lunch together, how about it?"
