Chapter 2: Beginning(1/2)

His eyes went dark, and the fan blew gently.

I was lying on the bed, looking at the fan above my head, wondering whether I should stick my head in and die again.

It is not difficult for a person to accept the fact that he has traveled through time. All he has to do is look in the mirror.

He has hair as messy as a pot lid, two big dark circles on his white face, the corners of his mouth are pulled down, and he is completely lifeless, and his whole body is as thin as a long pole. He is either a drug addict or an Internet addict.

Looking around, there was a bed, a wooden table, and a computer on the table.

The room was not dirty and the furnishings were very simple.

There is a small cabinet next to the table. There are several trophies in it. They are not large and the texture is quite rough. One of them caught my attention. It has a square base and the hand on top stretches out the index finger to make a "one" shape.

" gesture. I raised it and took a closer look. It read "CDEC Masters Team Champion" written under the base.

Let’s look at the others, “Haofang Golden League Runner-up”, “VS Platform Solo Champion”, “G League Team Runner-up”…

It seems that this is a DOTA1 player, and his level is quite good.

A "beep" sound came from the computer, indicating that the anti-virus was completed. I sat down and debugged it for a while, and soon found out why he did not switch to DOTA2.

The performance of this computer is really hard to describe, and there are some crack marks on the sides of the monitor and the main unit. It must have been dropped, quite hard.

I rummaged through the upper and lower drawers and found a book, like a diary, with an ID card inside, with my name written on it:

Xiao Se, born in 2000.

Dong Dong Dong - there is a knock on the door.

Opening the door, a little girl about thirteen or fourteen years old stood at the door, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, plain clothes, and timidly said:

"Brother, it's time to eat."

Oh, there is also a sister.

"Wait a minute, I'll be there soon." I turned around and went back to the computer, planning to reinstall the computer to see if I could play D2.

"Stop playing games." The girl looked anxious, "Dad is coming back soon..."

Bang! The outside door was kicked open.

"Get out of here, little bastard!"

The roar was full of alcohol.

I was grabbed by the hand and led out by the anxious girl. The two of them stood in the middle of the living room. She lowered her head and looked at the floor, and I raised my head and stared at the angry drunk man in front of me.

The suit he was wearing was very wrinkled, as if it had been ironed many times. His tie was worn crookedly and hanging out. Not only was his face red due to the alcohol, but his eyes were also red, and he was about to stare out of his head.

The smell of alcohol came first when he spoke, and then I heard his words clearly:

"You came out to pick me up so late. Are you deaf? Huh?"

"The computer is broken and is being repaired." My tone was very flat, and my mind was so confused that I didn't bother to make up an excuse.

"It's the computer again." He bared his teeth and rushed into my room. The girl quickly followed him.

I looked at the home-cooked food on the table and sat down with a little anticipation.

First there was the sound of smashing the computer: "I don't believe you can pay it back this time! Pay it back! You can still fucking fix it for me!"

I silently picked up some shredded potatoes with chopsticks, thinking that it would be better not to use an elderly machine that couldn't play D2.

Then there was the sound of kicking the cabinet: "It's bad luck to keep these useless plastic things all day long!"

I caught a glimpse of some red bills in the coat that the man had thrown on the ground, so I took them and put them in my pocket. There was also a pack of cigarettes in the bag, so I took out one and took a puff, making me cough.

Another sound of slapping came from the room, "You unlucky guy, get out of my way!"

Holding the cigarette, I took another puff without belief, this time I held my breath in, and the smell of smoke swirled in my mouth and nose.

"Step aside!"

Snapped!

"Will you give in or not?"

Snapped!

Snapped!

The father inside was beating his daughter, and I was still fighting against the unfamiliar smoke. The smoke rings were swirling, and I was not their relative, so I only felt the noise inside.

When you feel hungry, take another bite of food.

"Dad, don't smash my brother's trophy..." came the cry.

"Let's see if I don't beat you to death today!"

Snapped!

I lifted the plate.

Snapped!

I walked into the back room.

The girl's face in front of her was a little swollen, and the man raised his hand again.

Bang! I smashed the plate directly on the head of the man who raised his hand, and the warm vegetable soup poured all over his head.

He was stunned.

"Don't touch her." I took a puff of cigarette, although I still wasn't used to it.

"How dare you fucking smoke?" The man got angry, rolled up his sleeves and was about to hit me.

I stabbed the cigarette butt in my hand hard on his forehead, causing him to scream.

"Let's go." I stepped forward and took the girl's hand, and I rushed out of the door with her in tears.

It was dark and bright outside, and we walked to a hotel.

"Hello..." Before the words were spoken, the front desk lady's eyes were full of vigilance, as if facing a formidable enemy.

I instantly understood what she meant and immediately explained: "She is my sister."

The lady at the front desk looked disbelieving and gestured to the girl with her eyes.

The girl lowered her head and did not dare to look at anyone.

"By the way, what's your name?" I suddenly remembered and asked back.

The girl was stunned for a moment, with a confused face, but she still said honestly:

"Xiao Yitong."

When the receptionist saw this, she frowned even more tightly. From the corner of my eye, I could see her finger pressing on the alarm phone.

"Okay, once the room is ready, you take her up and I'll stay tonight." I said helplessly.

"Brother, where are you going?" Xiao Yitong behind him immediately became anxious.

I turned to her and told her, "You have a good rest here tonight and don't worry about anything. I'll be back tomorrow morning or noon at the latest."

After paying the deposit, I walked out of the hotel and headed straight for the Internet cafe.

It’s hard to move forward without money. Looking at the situation of this reincarnated family, I won’t be able to stay in it for long. I don’t have much, and the only way I can make money is DOTA2. But now that I can’t play professional games, there is only one way to make money.

:Power leveling.

I found a large Internet cafe on a busy street. When I pushed the door in, I was greeted by a heater. The hall was spacious and bright, and the fragrance and music were floating above my head. It was professional and the atmosphere was different.

"Sorry, you are under 18 years old." The front desk handed me back my ID card.

"Huh?" I frowned and took it, looked at the number "2000118..." and asked her: "What year is this year?"

The man was stunned when he heard my question, and then put on an expression that was half-smiling but not smiling: "It's 2016."

16 years, 16 years old... What a mistake. I shook my head helplessly. Now I had no choice but to look for any illegal Internet cafes.

"Hey, Xiaose?" A man came up behind him. He was tall and thick-set, and he looked like a security guard in charge. He smiled at me and said, "Hey, this guy is new here. I don't know you. You go in first."

Seeing what he said, I didn't ask any more questions so as not to reveal my fault, so I went in and found a seat in the corner and turned on the phone.

I opened steam first, and entered my previous account with the intention of trying it out, but it didn't work. I had no choice but to register a new account. If I want to get a high score on the ladder, it will be a long and hard time.

There is no way. Power leveling requires posting pictures. If you don't post them, no one will believe you. If you join those power leveling teams, you will get kickbacks. What a coincidence, "I" am a high-level Dota 1 player and do not have a Dota 2 account. I can only take one step at a time.

Take your time.

Without further ado, the ID was directly changed to "Desolate". I was not level enough to compete in the ladder, so I started matching first. The goal was to level up, and I had no interest in killing people. I only had towers in my eyes, so I entered the game and directly selected Werewolf or Bone Mage in 2 hours.

Won 5 straight sets.

I roughly estimated that it takes 100 games to play on the ladder. I should be able to play 10 hours a day. At this speed, I can get on the ladder in about a week. By then, it will probably take an eternity to get a score. Oh no, 16 years... It seems like

They are divided according to the ladder.

I was still planning my plan to level up in my mind, while the werewolf on the screen led a bunch of babies and chewed up the remains of the Dire into ruins.

Radiant victory! There are still 94 left!

"Quick, quick, quick!" An anxious shout came from the front desk. I didn't have the habit of wearing headphones, so I heard it clearly.
To be continued...
