Chapter 7: Understanding the New World

What Jock handed them was a page with a strange formula written on it.

Rupert just glanced at it and continued eating meat, because he didn't know a few words at all.

Kate took the dark yellow page and read it carefully.

"The crystallization of extraordinary creatures..."

As soon as she read this, Kate's eyes became brighter. She looked up at Jock and expressed her inner speculation:

"Brother Jock, this seems to be the formula for an extraordinary person."

‘The formula for an extraordinary person? The word formula is indeed mentioned on the dark yellow page.’

"Can you tell me more specifically?"

"I've heard that no matter which god you are a believer in, each promotion requires a corresponding formula. Only by taking the medicine made from the formula can your extraordinary abilities be further improved."

"However, this is just my guess, because I have never seen a real transcendent formula."

"Then how did you make this assumption?" Jock continued to ask.

"here."

Kate pointed to a certain location on the dark yellow page.

"This requires the crystallization of extraordinary creatures. Extraordinary creatures are a very dangerous species. If they are not extraordinary, it is difficult for ordinary people to fight against them."

"There is also the pop-eyed catfish here, which is an extraordinary fish unique to the Richborough River. A living pop-eyed catfish can be sold for thousands of Camillas!"

'So that's how it is.'

When Rupert heard his sister's words, he immediately put his head over:

"What?! Is this the formula for a transcendent?"

Rupert couldn't hide his excitement, and Jock naturally understood why the two brothers and sisters were like this.

"Brother, this belongs to brother Jock!" Kate said loudly, and then handed the dark yellow page back to Jock.

Rupert's excited expression instantly turned into frustration, but he didn't say anything more, but his eyes that followed the movement of the page clearly expressed his desire.

This was something that could change the fate of himself and his sister. He glanced at Jock and felt as if a large basin of ice water had been poured on his head.

Jock is an impossible person to defeat.

"Take it."

Jock pushed the page back.

"Brother Jock? You...you don't want it?!"

Kate's hand holding the page stopped in mid-air, with a look of disbelief on her face.

"This is not mine. I took it from some guys in hoods and cloaks. They wanted my life."

The smart Kate instantly understood what he meant, and was even more frightened. However, she was even more excited.

"Brother Jock? Do you really don't want it anymore?"

Kate felt that she still needed to confirm again.

"No, but consider this as my advance payment to you. You know, I have lost my memory, and there are many things I need to know now."

Jock had already memorized everything on the page, and he didn't want to carry it with him any longer, lest it cause unnecessary trouble.

For the Bolkin brothers and sisters, this is both an opportunity and a danger.

'Success is always a risky thing.'

"Thank you." Kate happily took back the page.

"Sister, show me quickly, show me."

Rupert stretched out his hand eagerly. Although he didn't know how to read, he couldn't help but his strong curiosity and excitement.

Kate handed the page to him and said, "Brother, be careful and don't break it."

"I know!"

Rupert took the page and fumbled with it happily.

"Brother Jock, what do you want to know? As long as I know something, I will tell you honestly."

Although Kate is a few years younger than Rupert, she is more mature and smarter than her brother.

Hearing this, Jock pointed to the few remaining dog meat on the grill: "Is this guy an extraordinary creature?"

Kate shook her head: "This wild dog is not an extraordinary creature. Extraordinary creatures, like extraordinary beings, are the objects of God's favor, and it is just contaminated by machinery."

'Mechanical pollution...' This is the second time Jock has heard this word.

“What is mechanical pollution?”

"The creatures are cursed by the mechanical virus and become monsters that are a mixture of machinery and flesh and blood. As long as they are given enough time, they will completely become mechanical creatures."

“So amazing!”

"Although mechanical creatures cannot be used as food, their mechanical bodies have special biological activities. This is a very good material for some mechanics, and many people will buy it."

Only then did Jock understand why Kate said before that she would give him the remaining half of the mechanical dog.

"Then extraordinary creatures are just like extraordinary beings? Possessing various magical abilities?"

"I don't know either, because I have never seen a truly extraordinary creature. Only contaminated animals occasionally appear near the garbage area. However, my personal guess is that it should be like this."

'Occasionally? It seems that my luck is really "good".'

"Garbage area?"

Kate pointed to the ground: "That's where we are now."

‘So this place is called the garbage area, and it really lives up to its name.’

"Your house has no windows, is it to prevent animals from attacking?"

"Yeah." Speaking of this, Kate added sheepishly: "My brother and I have to deal with ordinary animals carefully to catch them. We are no match for mechanically polluted creatures."

'No wonder, I haven't eaten meat for half a month...'

"Are there no extraordinary creatures around here?" When talking about this, Jock already had some plans in mind, and continued to ask for the most useful information to him at the moment.

"There are rumors that there is a supernatural creature called Billy, but I have never seen it."

"Billy?"

"I heard that it looks like a big yellow water balloon and will spew out corrosive liquid, which is very dangerous."

'Big yellow water balloon?'

Jock couldn't help but think of the yellow jelly pudding that he had broken before.

'Oh...'

"Sister, the pattern painted on it is different from all churches." Rupert suddenly interrupted, interrupting the conversation between Jock and Kate.

He handed the page to his sister: "This is a picture of a woman entangled with a snake."

Kate heard her brother's words and took the page and looked at it carefully.

Before, she only focused on the formula and didn't pay much attention to the dark lines on the paper.

Jock was quiet and didn't speak.

"A woman with a snake wrapped around her is really not the church's recipe."

Kate's face turned solemn, and she looked at Jock, as if waiting for the other party's confirmation.

"I don't know." Jock said directly.

"Brother Jock, what you met before was probably a hidden cultist. This, this is probably the evil god's formula!"

"Hermit? Evil God?"
