483. Illusion

Naxi looked a little uneasy:

"After I discovered this phenomenon, I spent some time investigating, and soon I discovered that most of the missing people had one thing in common, and I thought that although the others did not seem to have this characteristic, it was just because they did not show it.

Just come out.

"Alend didn't tell you, but I know that he came to Avalon long after his death, and while he was still alive, King Arthur did not die.

"He is King Arthur's knight.

"The same is true for other people. They are more or less related to King Arthur. Some are knights loyal to England, some are soldiers in the war between Arthur and Vortigern, and some are subjects in King Arthur's time.

"King Arthur is the basis for Morgan Le Fay's judgment. This is what I guessed. Although it may not be accurate and the number of people I found cannot support this conclusion, I believe in my judgment.

"This is a trap, and the prey are King Arthur's former subordinates and subjects, and King Arthur's palace mentioned by Morgan Le Fay is obviously just a bait."

Hewen said:

"But if they are real warriors in the War of Two Kings, they will never trust Morgan Le Fay easily. She is not a person who can be trusted, and her relationship with Arthur is too complicated to be harmonious like this.

Be neighbors.”

Naxi said:

"How do you know so much?"

Hewen said:

"I lived at the same time as King Arthur."

Naxi opened his eyes slightly and tried his best to suppress his surprise.

There are three possibilities for this sentence. The first one is that Hewen is lying, but at this time, Naxi actively ignored this possibility.

The second is that Hevin has been dead for many years and has been wandering in the underworld. He only recently came to Avalon. This is the most likely possibility, but judging from Hevin's words and deeds, he does not look like a person in the underworld at all.

Guys who have been around for a long time.

The last possibility filled him with surprise, fear, and joy all at once.

Heven lived in the time of King Arthur and died not long ago.

This means that he has probably lived for thousands of years, and as far as Naxi knows, most immortal species cannot live that long.

If this is true, Hevin is either a race like giant dragons, or a great being that surpassed mortals during his lifetime.

Judging from the literal meaning and Hewen's demeanor, he undoubtedly expressed the third meaning, but Naxi could not accept this information easily.

Naxi could not convince the man standing in front of him that he had lived from the time of Arthur to the present, and then died not long ago and came to the underworld.

Maybe I understood it wrong?

Naxi did not continue to speculate, but directly asked Hewen:

"What do you mean when you say you lived in the same era as King Arthur?"

Hevin replied:

"I was still alive when Arthur and Vortigern went to war. I witnessed the war with my own eyes. I also know what kind of person Morgan Le Fay is. It is impossible for King Arthur to build some fairyland city here with Morgan Le Fay.

"If those people you get are really from that era, they should be very aware that there is a problem in this place, but no one ever warned others, right? It seems that everyone accepted the lie that Morgan Le Fay and King Arthur were in love."

Naxi whispered:

"They may not be able to take the initiative to realize this contradiction, just as they think that disappearance is a very common thing, and there is some kind of force that interferes with them realizing the truth, or in other words, they ignore the fact.

"What a terrifying power, deceiving so many souls at the same time, monitoring this entire dimension..."

Naxi raised his head and looked at Hewen sincerely:

"I need your help. If everything goes well, I will be the next one to disappear. Even you may not care about my disappearance. I don't even know if the truth can eliminate the influence of magic on you..."

Hewen said:

"You and Elend have escaped the effects of magic, and so have I."

Naxi said:

"Then are you willing to help me?"

Hewen looked at him silently.

Naxi said:

"Well, I was a wizard when I was alive, but death caused me to lose most of my magic. Apart from some interesting little tricks, I can't do anything now. And my first thought was that since I have a high probability of being... If I disappear soon, then I hope you can observe the process of my disappearance and discover the secret."

He took out a mirror from his pocket:

"I cast a spell on it. You can use it to monitor me. I am ready to be kidnapped. If the spell can still take effect after I am kidnapped, you can use it to discover the truth about people's disappearances, and then Like a way to warn others.

"And if I can't, I will try my best to break free, contact you through this mirror, and pass on important information to you. However, this matter itself has huge risks. I also want to see what you think about it. Morgan Le Fay came to you because of his strong interest.

"If you don't want to, I will leave here now and disappear from your sight forever. You and I both know how dangerous this matter is, and I will not ask anything of you."

Hevin's answer was straightforward:

"I'm definitely interested in Morgan le Fay."

Naxi smiled:

"Then let's renegotiate the plan. I just told you my initial thoughts, but I think now, with your help, we may be able to do more."

Hevin agreed:

"If you only communicate through a mirror, problems may arise. You know the magic of clones, right?"

As the words fell, a figure appeared beside Hewen.

Naxi looked over and saw that the figure that appeared was exactly the same as Hewen.

Then the original He slowly disappeared in the air.

The newly emerged Hewen said:

"I will be by your side, hiding my whereabouts, personally witnessing and preventing disappearances from happening, and at the same time, my illusion will go with An Lai to visit Witch Morgan."

Naxi said with some confusion:

"You are going to see Morgan Le Fay? How can you guarantee that your illusion will not be seen through?"

Hevin's vision explained casually:

"Because I once did the same thing in Morgan Le Fay, but she didn't notice it, and this Queen..."

Hevin didn't think anyone could see through his illusions, because his opponents were far behind him in the path of illusion magic.
