Chapter 979 The Storm of Time (3): The Legacy of the Boss(2/2)

Quite a few, the front desk of the bar has almost been emptied out by the minions that Father Hassan used to have.

Thomas Gilbert came to the bar counter and looked at the damaged cash register, but did not find any copper coins left in it.

If it hadn't been for this typhoon, I'm afraid most of the people in the Suka British gang would have fled out of Dais Island. As of now, there is only an elderly bartender cleaning the bar in Father Hassan's bar.

Thomas Gilbert walked through the bar and went straight to the backyard. When he saw the noisy parrot, the parrot also saw him.

"Suka Bu Le! Su Ka Bu Le!"

The parrot was still screaming the Slavic curse words desperately. Thomas Gilbert came to it and said thoughtfully:

"Is this why you survived?"

Are you using these dirty words to desensitize yourself?

The parrot obviously understood - after a moment's pause, it raised its throat again:

"You're talking about a lot of bad things! Father Hassan is coming back and wants to make you look bad!"

Thomas Gilbert suddenly reached out to open the cage, grabbed the parrot, pinched its beautiful neck, pried open its mouth with the thumb of his right hand, and stuffed his fingers inside.

The noisy voice disappeared.

"Father Hassan is dead."

Thomas Gilbert said to the parrot.

"He killed the officer of the Mechanical Hive Prison and shot him. In the prison...he was shot many times and died on the spot."

The black pupil in the parrot's red lens constricts slightly.

He put his mouth to the parrot's ear - if the thing had ears.

"I met with him and talked a lot with him. I knew he still had unfinished business... He told me your name, so I came to find you to complete his unfinished business."

After he finished speaking, he put the parrot into the cage and locked the lock of the cage.

The parrot stopped swearing and stared at him.

Thomas Gilbert stared into its eyes without fear.

Until he realized something was wrong, he couldn't move his eyes away.

He felt that everything in front of him began to rotate around the parrot's blood-red eyes - its eyes seemed to have turned into a whirlpool, sucking the entire world - including him - into it.

The brightness in front of his eyes turned to darkness. When Thomas Gilbert regained consciousness again, he only felt that the surroundings were dark and he had no idea where he was.
