3. Han Yu went out of Yangzhou

When traveling to Zhangxin County, Qinzhou, it is located between Huating, Pingliang and Jingzhou Lianyun Fort. It was originally named after the Zhangxin Fort built by Liu Haibin in Jingyuan. This fortress guards the Fenshui Gorge of the Shui River. Looking at the vast Zhimoyuan around it, the fields opened up canals to irrigate, and the mulberry fields of the people's residences and the Qiang Tunnel attached to the Dangxiang are intertwined.

At the top of the field, Wu Yuanheng, whose face was blackened by the May and June sun, was leading several drawing measuring hands that had just come from the "Quick-Success Training" training of Taofen Academy. He took a team of archers and county officials walking, among which archers carried ropes, bamboo sticks, and bows on his shoulders. Whenever he went to the Yongye Field of the people, he would carefully and repeatedly measure them.

There were only two counties in Qinzhou, namely Huating County and Zhangxin County. Among them, the former residents were mainly garrison soldiers and shooters, and the land was mainly military garrisons. After Gao Yue attacked Qinzhou, he migrated and resettled many Han people there to Zhangxin County, so he specially arranged Wu Yuanheng to be the county magistrate and began to try the "Jingjie Law".

Before he tried it for a long time, Wu Yuanheng became familiar with the business. He was worthy of being the first in the spring examination of Dongdu. In addition, Gao Di, the Ministry of Personnel selected books and judged outstandingly. In order to facilitate the understanding of county officials and the people, he presented Gao Yue with the "Zhangtian Method" and no longer sticking to the area of 240 steps to one acre. Because this standard is too rigid for various fields, Wu Yuanheng proposed to divide the algorithm of the area of acres into four layers: "Step, Step, Corner, and Mu", with five feet as one step, sixty steps as one corner, and four corners as one acre, so that any fragmented fields can be calculated, which is very convenient. The measured field area will be registered as "Qiu Duanzi". If the field owner's field is divided, he will draw it in the field and strive for accuracy.

After measuring one by one, Wu Yuanheng sat directly under the shade of the tree, summoned all the Baojia households, and compared the size of the upper part of the anvil base book with the "field style" they reported, and sang it in public. After the households confirmed that it was correct, they signed and stamped it. So Wu Yuanheng carefully checked the name of the owner, the four lands, the shapes, the earth color, and the pictures on the anvil base book. Then he picked up candles after dusk and led the county officials to copy them. One was left to the public office, one was given to Fengxiang Mansion, one to the court's Ministry of Revenue, and the other was given to the people's households and kept it at home. Then he made a book based on the anvil base book, creating tax books and a certificate book.

The "four-step and corner acre" method of painting fields proposed by Wu Yuanheng was very appreciated by Gao Yue. He immediately asked Wei Zhiyi and Li Jie to imitate it. He also told the two county magistrates that the method of painting fields is important, and the talent of paintings is more important. In the process of implementing the method of the law of the classics, those who are pure, honest and skilled in official affairs should pay attention to it. In the future, after the establishment of the Jingjie Department in Xingyuan Fengxiang Prefectures, this group of people can be directly enriched, without being restricted by the geographical restrictions of the prefectures and counties, and all the fields of the two prefectures are painted with Jingjie. There is no need to worry about the additional salary.

So Wei Zhiyi, as promised, first drew the farm of Yin Gaoyue's family in Xingyuan...

Although this example is the case, the households in Nanzheng County, Xingyuan Prefecture have begun to become uneasy. They are not fools, and they are very keenly aware that the law of the scriptures will more or less harm their vested interests.

But they also saw that Gao Yue’s support for the implementation of the Sutra Realm Law was not the county magistrate, nor the students who learned to draw algorithms in the academy, but the entire Dingwu Army!

This is why the army is a violent organ.

Moreover, Gao Yue Dingwu Army is different from ordinary Fangzhen soldiers. The usual soldiers and local situation households and merchants have close ties, and they all come out from the inside. This is the case with the so-called "indigenous military group".

However, Xingyuan Prefecture is different. Since the implementation of the military system of generals and soldiers and shooters, the Dingwu Army's entitlement of grain was divided into hubuds of rice, and most of the military pay was settled by the "envoy" part of the two taxes. The emperor would occasionally withdraw some from the inner treasury as "reward money" - in addition, Gao Yue cleverly used the military administration and merchants' joint ventures to set up seven military subsidies in the public halls of various prefectures and counties in Xingyuan Prefecture, and returned to the business.

The money obtained from Yi was stored here, and accumulating millions of chunks of money and silk a few years ago was sold to the army. Even if it was recruiting soldiers, Gao Yue preferred to ask the military academy to recruit soldiers from other places with paper. After that, they were divided into shooting soldiers or generals. The former went to farm, while the latter trained in the military city. The children of Xingyuan only occupied part of the army. In other words, the situation of the Dingwu Army and Xingyuan Palace were actually isolated and were completely standing on Gao Yue's side.

The military's pressure is an important backing for the implementation of reform in any era.

This is naturally a deeper understanding of Gao Yue. He had long understood from the books that radical land reform is supported by the army, and even the relatively moderate land redemption reform advocated on a certain island was endorsed by hundreds of thousands of "outer provincial armies" from the mainland in the past.

This is true in the present, and even more so in ancient times.

Therefore, under such circumstances, the residents of Xingyuan Prefecture had a very complicated relationship. They believed that Gao Yue was a hero of Xingyuan's great development and a very skilled bureaucrat, but they were also hostile to and hated him because he was by no means standing on the standpoint of local tyrants, but he was merciless and wanted to pay more taxes for the court.

Isn’t it to raise pigs to be fat and strong?

Soon an anonymous article "On the Damage of the Nanzheng Jingjie" was published in a thousand words and was submitted to the Xingyuan Di Daily News and handed over to the reviewer Liu De's Office.

Liu Deshi sighed and told the people in the yamen that before Yisong left Fengxiang Prefecture, he told me that if the Nanzheng County Jingjie Law was implemented and the end of this article was only published, it would be no fear.

After saying that, Liu Deshi threw this article into the fire cup and immediately burned it to black ashes.

The same was burned, and the situation of Xingyuan Mansion was the will of the residents to resist.

In the end, they were still afraid of Gao Yue's "power", and indeed they had no more action and were silent.

However, there are still some complaints. For example, the "Fifty-Four Generals Ye Zi Show" that has been popular in the entire Xingyuan Mansion recently. I don't know when I will add a Ye Zi card. The card is painted with a small scepter, with the text "Yinneiqi County Bo" (homniverse Qi and Qi). When the four of them were playing Ye Zi Show, whoever draws this Qi County Bo is a must-export bureau, and can only distribute Ye Zi to the other three.

At the same time, the servant Han Yu left the farm in Yangzhou with his simple luggage and began to conduct field surveys on the Jingjie Law in Xingyuan and Fengxiang. He had to judge whether it was good or not. Of course, he would then go to the boundaries of Jingzhao Prefecture and Tonghua Prefecture, and then compare the prefectures and counties that did not implement the Jingjie Law.

On the day Han Yu set off, it was raining in the sky. He passed through Hanchuan in Yangzhou. He was not afraid of the weather, and was heading down to Jingxiang one by one. The tall Han Yu was wearing a new cotton woven shirt, a paper umbrella in his arms, and a six-held boots stepped on the slightly moist road sand and long footprints behind him. He was about to start a social investigation into the southern and western Datang Mountains and the Jingji area.
