Chapter 29 Design Concept

Engineer Bai Jingtian continued to introduce the design concept of this copycat missile.

Since this cruise missile does not require a large flight operation like ordinary aircraft, the designed thrust-weight ratio is about 0.25, which means that the maximum take-off weight of the missile is about 200 kilograms.

This engine is produced in the United States or Denmark, and the price is less than US$3,000 each. I heard that domestic manufacturers also need to produce it, and the expected price will be half of the imported products.

Second: Elastomer/pneumatic appearance

Since missiles are not aircraft, there is no need to consider doing too much maneuvering flight, the appearance of the missile body should be as simple as possible: a cylindrical missile body + head fairing is used, with the purpose of maintaining a high structural strength while saving the most material, and is conducive to the installation of internal equipment. The designed diameter is 35 cm, the total length is 180 cm, and the internal volume is about 0.35 cubic meters.

The straight upper single-wing wing structure with ailerons is adopted. The purpose of using a straight upper single-wing wing is to simplify design and manufacturing, and at the same time provide a relatively large lift-resistance ratio; the purpose of using ailerons is to facilitate manipulation and control, which is often used when making models and is relatively mature).

The design wingspan is 1.8 meters, the chord length is 0.5 meters, and the wing area is 0.725 square meters. It adopts a V-type composite tail structure. Because this structure has a good foundation in model aircraft, the control and control are relatively mature, and the stability is relatively good. Therefore, two-piece tail wings are used instead of the traditional three-piece, which is both a rudder and a control attitude.

There are two advantages: simplify the structure and avoid the influence of the airflow of the development engine. The engine is installed symmetrically on both sides of the bullet body, and the center is tilted backward. The advantage is that the intake duct and tail nozzle are not bothered to design, and the distance between the two engines is also maintained as much as possible, which is conducive to the engine heat dissipation and avoid heat interference to the guidance and servo in the bullet body.

The entire elastic body is made of aluminum alloy keel, aluminum alloy profile, riveted structure, and skin is made of resin fiberglass or carbon fiber. The latter has a much higher cost, but it is much lighter at the same strength.

The inner layout of the cylindrical bullet body is from front to back: airspeed tube, ammunition-loading computer compartment, sensor compartment, ammunition wing servo, throttle speed controller, fuel tank, warhead, and tail servo.

Materials used include:

1: 6 model servos, two for each elastic wing, one for each tail wing, unit price: 80 yuan, totaling 480 yuan

2: One V-type tail wing proportional distributor, unit price: 140 yuan.

3: Two throttle ratio speed regulators, unit price: 100 yuan, total: 200 yuan.

4: Two oil pumps, using automobile wiper water pump, unit price: 20 yuan, totaling 40 yuan.

5: Several aluminum alloy profiles, several skins, several hardware parts, various adhesives, sealants, paints, hardware parts, and several standard parts.

The cost of the bullet body is less than 5,000 yuan.

Three: Guidance and control part.

In fact, the design of this part is the most interesting. The entire system includes hardware and software. Let’s talk about the hardware part first.

The ammunition-loading computer is responsible for two aspects: one is guidance and the other is control, and adopts the design idea of ​​a standard micro-industrial control machine.

Taiwan Advantech 2601 motherboard, 5x86-133 CPU, 32m memory, provides 4 ports and 1 8-bit ISA socket, and even an integrated graphics card and sound card. The size is only equivalent to a 3-inch floppy disk, plus a 256m electronic disk, and a D/A converter used to control the servo, with a weight of no more than 1 kg.

The total price is around 5,000 yuan.

The missile adopts a powerful joint guidance method of GPS + terrain + inertial guidance.

gps: jjtech's OEM receiver board, 12 channels, rs-232 outputs nmea-0183 format data, the size is equivalent to a pcmcia card, weighing about 50 grams, plus the antenna is only 200 grams, the price in Chengdu is 600 yuan.

Terrain: Industrial micro radio altimeter, vertical action distance of 300 meters, rs-232 output, the weight of the probe is about 300 grams, and the price in Beijing is more than 2,000 yuan.

Inertia: Industrial micro gyroscope with magnetic compass, rs-232 output, weight is about 200 grams, and the price in Beijing is more than 1,500 yuan.

All the above equipment are powered by 5V, with a total current of less than 30 amperes, including the servo. Considering the total working time is 1 hour, 28 1.25v/45 are used, and the lithium battery pack used for laptops is selected for power supply, and the cost can also be lower than 50 yuan.

After hearing the introduction, Li Baoqiang was stunned. This was simply a copycat cruise missile, and it was so cheap, he was very interested: "The final price is, what is it?"
