Chapter Nine The First Trip to Hollywood

A few days later, Gans and Berg returned from a trip. In order to make up for the apology from me when I wrote the script at home when they went out to play, they brought me many local specialties, including an extremely greasy cheese, which made me lose my stomach for several days, and the discussion of the script took a few days back. However, I was not idle for the past few days, but lying in bed to make the final modifications to the script. Gans and Berg have always been interested in my script since they came back and have been yelling to read it, but I insisted that I would never show it to them if I didn't finish it, which made the two guys go to my house more than ten times a day.

I lay in bed for three or four days. My mother kept taking care of me, while my father focused on his film screening career. Every time before the movie was screened, he would promote to the audience in the cinema that his son was about to make a movie, so that the old customers of DreamWorks should not forget to support it. In the end, almost the entire Burbank knew that the third child of the Corleon family was tinkering with a coquettish movie.

That afternoon, when I was lying on the recliner in the yard, just as I had finished revising the script, Gans and Berg walked in scathingly.

"My big director, have the script been prepared? Gans and I are almost running away!" The fat man looked extremely ugly with a painful expression on his face.

Gans walked up to me in three or five steps, staring at the script in my hand, and his eyes shone: "Boss, have my heart and soul done? Do you know what I feel now, just like standing in front of a beautiful naked girl crib but finding that she can't take off her clothes!"

I looked at the two of them and proudly raised the script in my hand: "I just finished it, you can read it!"

When the two of them heard that the script had been written, they rushed over and rushed over to grab the script, and gathered together and glanced at it with wide eyes.

"Boss! I didn't expect that I was frowning when I saw you writing a letter, but I actually wrote such a powerful script in one breath. I admire you! I admire you!" After reading the script, Gans gave me a thumbs up with a high look on his face.

"Yes, yes, our movie is going to be a big deal this time." The fat man carefully folded the script and stuffed it into my hand, smiling like a bun.

I looked at the two of them and whispered: "Since the script is ready, we will start the relevant filming work tomorrow."

"Photo shoot quickly, shoot quickly, I've been crazy these days." The fat man sat on the chair next to him, took a pineapple and threw it into his mouth.

We were making a fuss. My dad brought a man who was a few years older than me into the yard. Not only did he look acne on his face, his hair was so oily that it almost made the goshawk slip. He was wearing fat clothes, his hair was unkempt, and he was holding a cigarette in his mouth, and he walked around and around.

"Oh, isn't this my dear brother? When did you go home?" The man walked over with a smirk when he saw me.

His words immediately made me understand that he was Bao Ji. Today is the day when he was released.

I looked at him and stayed in the lounge chair without moving.

Gans and Berg were obviously afraid of him, so they quickly made way out when they saw him coming.

Baoji sat down next to me, pointed at me and pointed at Berg and the others, "What are you busy with?"

None of us spoke, but my dad told him that we were preparing to make a movie.

As a result, this guy Baoji immediately said that his father became partial.

"Dad, I don't feel good about doing this. If Andre wants to make a movie, you can give him so much money in one go. I want to buy a twenty car and pester you for a year. You didn't even give me a single steel bang. Am I your own son?" Bao Ji's face turned red, and the acne on his face became more and more obvious.

My father ignored him and went back to the house. Seeing this, Bao Ji hurried to me and whispered: "Andre, you have a lot of money. I'll lend me some money. I'll repay you later."

I looked at his greedy eyes and pretended to be calm and said, "This money is not only mine, but also Berg's. We are now working together. If you want money, please ask my dad to go."

Bao Ji was stunned after hearing this. He didn't understand that the little brother who was originally trembling in front of him actually said to him for the first time: NO.

"Okay, okay, you have a habit." Baoji stood up and staggered out.

Berg and Gans breathed a sigh of relief.

"What will we do tomorrow, boss?" Gans looked at me with confidence.

"Go to Hollywood to rent equipment." I smiled knowingly.

Hollywood. This place was famous for growing a shrub called "Birds Don't Rest" in the early years. It was located in the northwest of Los Angeles, not far from Burbank. In 1853, there was only one house here. In 1870, it was a farmland. In 1886, a man named Harvey bought a 0.6 square kilometers land northwest of Los Angeles. When his wife was traveling, she heard a woman next to her say that she came from a place called Hollywood in Ohio. She thought the name Hollywood was good. After returning home, she transported a large number of holly trees from Scotland to plant it in her husband's farm and named the farm "Hollywood". In fact, this word originally meant holly in English.

In 1887, Harvey took advantage of the government's loophole to build a small town here, and went to the regional government to officially register the name "Hollywood". By 1900, it had already developed into a large scale. Hollywood already had a post office, a newspaper, a hotel and two markets, with 500 residents. In 1903, the place was upgraded to a city. In 1907, director Bergers led his photography team here to shoot "The Earl of Monte Cristo". They found that the bright and abundant sunshine and changing terrain were very suitable for filming. 191

In 2000, the big director Griffith also came here, and the workaholic immediately fell in love with this place. Under his influence, more and more filmmakers flocked to Hollywood, and soon the big film companies migrated here. In 1911, the first film studio officially opened, and a total of 15 studios settled in the same year. In 1923, the year before, the line of white big words that later became a symbol of Hollywood: HOLLYWOOD was erected on the hillside behind Hollywood. This originally dilapidated town became popular because of the movies.

Paramount and MGM are all located on both sides of Hollywood Street, which is the most prosperous place in Hollywood, with big stars and big names, rich cars and BMWs, bright lights and wine, drunkenness and dreams. The place we are going to is the outer edge of Hollywood, a place called Harvey Street.

This street was built by Hollywood people to commemorate Harvey. It is the most broken and poorest street in Hollywood. It brings together unemployed people, down-and-out actors, dead-spun players, scouts, equipment retailers, renters, prostitutes, gamblers... In a word, there are people at the bottom of Hollywood living here. The prosperity of Hollywood in people's eyes has nothing to do with them. They live in dirty and messy streets like maggots. The biggest hope is to make some money from this dream-making place and then live a life of glory.
