Chapter 104 I'm filming a bed scene with Garbo

The influence of "People Who Called for Help" in Europe is no less than the original "Sex Movie brought the authentic and simple atmosphere to European flashy and false movies, and won the enthusiastic pursuit of a group of new film pioneers. Using this as a weapon, they began to challenge the old narrative model of old movies. Not only greatly promoted the pioneering film movement of European countries that had already shown fatigue, but also had a profound impact on the young men in the film industry who had just embarked on the road of film. In Italy, this influence took root like a spark, so that later, the new realism movement that began in the 1940s and 1950s regarded this movie as their source and me as their mentor. Of course, this is a later story.

Among the many letters from the European film industry I have received, there are representative directors of various film genres such as Impressionism, Surrealism, Dadaism, Expressionism, Abstractism, etc. They have sent letters to congratulate me on filming a masterpiece.

In addition, I also received letters from young people, some of whom signed, which surprised and delighted me.

I looked at the envelope in my hand, and there were many names on it, which looked so familiar.

"It's not really these people, right?" I murmured.

However, after reading it, I was sure that these people were NB characters in history.

In an envelope with a gloomy and funny skeleton plaid on it, the letter wrote: "Dear Andre I have watched "People Who Called for Help" many times. I am the son of an ordinary vegetable wholesaler. I am now engaged in film screenwriter and art work. In these jobs, my passion for films has been slowly exhausted. But when I was about to give up this career and swear to sever my relationship with films for the rest of my life, your movie has made me extremely excited and let me know what real film art is and what a dream pursued by a filmmaker. Now I am starting to shoot an extremely ordinary little movie. Maybe I will never walk out of this small town in London in my life. No one knows me, but I want to say that I have no regrets about this choice. It is you who strengthened my confidence in going on and pay tribute to you."

Signature: "Alfred

The Hitchcock, who was born in England, but made a name for himself in Hollywood and finally became a master of world suspense films, made immortal classics such as "Thirty-Nine Steps", "Birds", "Northwest" and other immortal classics!

However, he is not famous at all now. He plays a supporting role in a small film factory in London, doing some chores such as art, screenwriter, etc., and his future is "dark".

But I know the value of this person! It is indeed a great pleasure to see someone who was later regarded as a master to write such a letter to me.

Among the same audience letters, there are the most French people. After all, the movie was born from where the French people's film appreciation ability is absolutely world-class. Two of these letters caught my attention.

Two letters came from the French with their unique elegant style. They expressed their respect for me and their infinite love for my movies. One of these two people was later called "the poet among film directors" and created the French poetic film tradition. The master of the game was filmed in "Rules of the Game" and "The Great Disillusionment"

Now, in his early twenties, Jean is very interested in some of the filming scenery in "Lust and Caution" and "People Who Seeks Help", showing the inner heart and connection between people and nature. He said that these shots contain "charming poetry" and told me that he decided to quit his job and appear in his film career, and to try to one day he himself to shoot the French version of "Lust and Caution" or "People Who Seeks Help".

"It turns out that I laughed in silence, this joke is so big.

But no matter what, let the film think: poetic, and in history, he did the same.

Compared with Vigo, the father of the Rang family is a famous painter. In his 30s, he has directed several small works, although the influence is not great, but it has become a little famous.

He wrote a full 20 pages enthusiastically, and took two of my movies from beginning to end: once, he gave a high evaluation of the structure and narrative method of the movie, praised the two movies, and even called me "a rare art master since the birth of the movie!"

There were also letters from Europe that surprised me a lot. The person who wrote the letter was very interested in "People Calling for Help" and called it "a real movie". He regarded the movie as a tool for recording society and history. He praised the realistic style of the movie "People Calling for Help" and called me his teacher.

This person is called Evans!

The documentary master who filmed "Rain" and "Bridge" later came to China during the Anti-Japanese War to shoot "Four Thousand People" and Evans!

These famous people in later generations are now just small shrimps, some of which are not even shrimps, but their letters made me extremely happy. I was praised by them and seeing them calling themselves teachers is really accomplished.

I replied to them one by one, and in the letter I enthusiastically invited them to the United States to DreamWorks. No matter which of these people is a priceless treasure.

During the two weeks since I was filming "Dracula of the Vampire", major Hollywood film companies were not idle either. Seeing "People Calling for Help" selling a big sale, it has a good reputation. Many companies have launched follow-up works. Not only are they talking about big companies such as Columbia, Universal, Warner, and Paramount, even Lianmei is planning to shoot a movie that shows shoemakers with a theme similar to "People Calling for Help". The name of this movie is said to be "Shoe Factory", and the director is Chaplin himself.

Upon hearing this news, I could only grin and smile. Chaplin had never made such a movie in history.

Among the many companies, only MGM did not follow the trend. Their huge investment "Washington" almost started filming at the same time as "Dracula Vampire". Sissymarskolov and Meyer worked hard for this movie, claiming that they must make the movie go down in history, and publicly claiming to "make a friendly contest" with DreamWorks' new movie.

After resting in the company for one or two days, I didn't have much time to spare. After finishing all the messy things, I devoted myself to filming the movie again.

310. Pirate Lane.

A short street was transformed into what it was twenty years ago, and the extras wore clothes from that era and played pedestrians of various identities on the street. I spent $8 to renovate the street. Not only the street, but also the houses on both sides were restored to their original appearance. There are many scenes in the movie that need to be filmed here.

I was wearing an extremely particular dress, with high-end amber eyes with a clip-on nose, a tall top hat, a black crutch in my hand, and a long golden curled hair. I stood by the street waiting for the shooting.

This scene is about Dracula's demeanor, after he locked Butt into the castle, he came from Romania to Los Angeles in 1900. He was eager to find love +. She. At this time, Dracula was elegant, noble and handsome. He greeted Ellen, followed her, chatted with her, and took her to the show. Although Ellen was very repulsive to him, she was quickly attracted by the charm of this man. More importantly, she felt familiar with the man in front of her. Every time she saw him, her heart was sweet, and even when she was separated for a short time, she was suffering.

"Boss, your outfit and your look, tsk, I guess women in the United States will fall asleep with your photos in the future!" Steinberg looked me up and down, left and right, and smiled.

"Get out! The clothes are a little tight, I'm so angry that I'm almost out of breath. Go, start quickly when I'm ready!" I said angrily.

Stenborough ran to the back of the camera, adjusted the camera position, and made a gesture to me: "Start the shooting!"

The extras on the street suddenly walked around, shouting and laughing loudly, and a market from 20 years ago appeared vividly in the camera.

Ellen was walking down the street in a green dress with a basket in her hand. A close-up of an apple in the basket, and then her hands.

Next was a large panoramic view of another camera, and on the other side of the street, a man stood in the crowd and stared at her.

Close-up view, Dracula's face. He observed Ellen's every move from behind his glasses, with a few traces of excitement and love. He walked through the crowd and came to Ellen's back.

He asked her where the nearest movie theater was, the kind of emerging street juggling magic, and Ellen told him, but he was still following her.

Ellen asked him to walk away angrily, Dracula just smiled and introduced herself to her, then asked her name.

Ellen told Dracula that she already had a fiancée and that if he didn't leave, she would call the police.

Dracula always had that charming smile on his face. He invited Ellen to watch a movie, but Ellen refused.

Dracula looked at Ellen's back and suddenly turned to the camera and said, "She will remember me."

"cut! Perfect!" Stenberg shouted;+. He was in a hurry to change his clothes, but I stood behind the camera to see the effect.

The street scene built for tens of thousands of dollars is indeed good, and the shots are very effective. After a few casual glances, a heavy sense of history is overwhelming.

After a lot of busyness, I turned on the shooting again.

Dracula waited for Ellen on the street every day. He helped her carry the basket, chat with her, beat the people who teased Ellen, and won Ellen's favor little by little. Ellen was gradually fascinated by him. He listened to the story of Romania, listened to him telling the sunrise and sunset of the castle, smiling. She didn't know that her fiancé Butte was not as good as death in the castle now. She only knew that the man in front of her had penetrated into her heart like a snake.

These shots took us four days to finish.

Finally, Ellen finally agreed to Dracula's request to watch the movie together.

The plays in the cinema are the most difficult scenes to shoot in this part of the play.

In order to completely conquer Ellen, Dracula used his superpowers to turn the cinema into a private space for two people, full of psychedelic colors.

Not only will there be still plates, chairs, tables floating in the air, but also white wolf suddenly appearing, flowers blooming on the ground, and two people's memories of their past lives. Finally, it is

The bed scene.

Almost every shot is difficult to shoot. With the shooting level at this time, shooting such a scene is beyond my imagination. In order to shoot Dracula's shot of the chairs, tables, and plates in the room and finally stopped, the entire crew spent a lot of effort.

They want to pull these things with extremely thin transparent silk threads, stand on the tall ceiling and pull them up manually, and must keep everything rising at the same speed and stop at the same height. This is not something that ordinary people can do.

Many times, because the rope can't bear the weight, the rope breaks during shooting, or rises at different speeds, so I have to reshoot it. Sometimes these things are finally fine, but if there is a problem with the actor, I have to come again.

We took this shot for a whole day.

The lens of flowers suddenly popping out of the floor and gradually blooming is even more troublesome. In the twenty-one world, it can be done in a few seconds with a computer, but we have to shoot one by one, and we have to change the flowers every time we shoot. The normal screening speed is 16 per second, and this lens has a total of 20 seconds, which is 320. In other words, the photographer needs to turn on the machine at 320, and the prop set needs to place 320 flowers of different shapes. The complexity is a headache.

The scene of the white wolf appearing in the cinema is not easy. The script requires the white wolf to blast in from the entrance and finally arrive at their respective designated locations at the same time. This is easy for humans, but for animals, it is extremely harsh to make them meet this requirement. After NG for more than 60 times, not only the trainers began to get angry, but even the white wolf went on strike together.

Stenberg and others discussed with me whether they could just shoot the same thing, but I scolded them. I asked them to strictly follow the movie storyboard script and not be careless at all.

It took a full seven hours to finish this shot. After the trainers finished filming, they told me that even if they beat them to death, they would not take on the movie.

There are many such shots, but compared with Dracula and Ellen's dream memories, they are just a witch.

Everyone who shoots movies knows that all shots are not more difficult than those who shoot dreams. Because these shots are unreasonable at all, the water flows to a high place, and the mirror reunites. When people fall asleep, they gradually rise from the bed and finally stay out of thin air.

The entire crew was so upset that I was so upset that the prop group was about to collapse, then the actor group and the lighting group, and later the director group was not even able to do so.

"Boss, I'm asking for leave! I'm sick! I feel uncomfortable! I want to die! How can I do this? This is either filming, it's simply torture, or killing people!" Stenborough rubbed his red eyes and wanted to kneel down for me.

Griffith was already lying on the chair, only breathing out but not in. Dunar had not seen anyone in his name of breathing for a long time. Stiller's face was similar to pork liver, his eyes were dull. The only thing that was holding down, Stendburg was about to be driven crazy by me.

"Stand up! Are you still a man? You can't even shoot such a shot, how can you mess with me in the future? Let me tell you, you only have two ways to go. One is to shoot me honestly. When the film becomes popular, you will be famous, you will be rich, and you will never think about making a movie!" I shouted.

Under my coercion and temptation, a group of people forced themselves to drink a hard meal of coffee and put on the battle, and pointed the camera forward again.

The dream scene was filmed for two days. During the two days, more than a dozen people were so tired that they lay down. The remaining eyes were dull and their spirits were distracted, as if they were crazy.

I was really afraid of getting them out of something, so I gave them a long vacation and each of them gave me a condolence fee, which made them go to the city for a long time to play wildly.

At night, the group of people returned to the set like wolves. Stenberg told me that he was running around in the city for a long time, and he beat him five times with just a fight, and finally vented his depression these days.

Although I don't agree with their method, they have recovered. The scene can continue to be filmed, which is great.

In the evening, the last highlight of this part began in silence.

Dracula and Ellen finally sparked the love. In Dracula's room, the two of them shared the same bed and expressed their feelings to each other.

This scene was not only the first time Jiabao filmed a bed scene, but also the first time I filmed it.

For the sake of shooting, there were only six people in the room, me, Garbo, Fatty, Stenborough and two photographers. I drove all the others out.

After the three cameras were placed and the lights were ready, Stenborough sat on the chair and asked, "Boss, do you want to give General Garbo another show?"

I looked at Jiabao. She was wearing only a nightgown and stood by the bed barefoot, not sure whether it was because of the nervousness or the building, trembling.

"Nervous?" I smiled.

Jiabao nodded and shook his head immediately.

"To be honest, I'm nervous too. It's your first time, and it's also my first time." I tried to squeeze out a smile,

It’s a bitch, why is this so awkward? How come it sounds like a conversation with a client and a prostitute!
