Chapter 100 I gave my first kiss to Dracula the Vampire
After making a decision, the actors decided, the rest was to make the final plan
The senior executives of DreamWorks were divided into two groups. The director, actor and photography team led by me began to prepare for selecting roles, selecting scenes, customizing clothing and props, etc. Gans and Yassel led people to communicate and promote. In a few days, these two guys incited audiences in Los Angeles and even the United States.
"Do you know, DreamWorks is going to make a new movie again?!"
"I also heard that Mr. Andre Corleone is the lead role himself!"
"No! Isn't he the director?!"
"I heard that I am writing, acting and directing myself, and I also heard that all the directors of DreamWorks will make a collective appearance in the movie! This will be a must-see!"
"I also heard that the movie was made of vampires!"
"Yes, I heard that the murders during this period were caused by vampires!"
...
As long as you walk down the street, you can hear such discussions everywhere. One of the reasons why this movie aroused so much interest was that I took the DreamWorks people to perform for the first time, and another important reason.
In newspapers and magazines, radio stations, articles, introductions and discussions about vampires are overwhelming. As the discussion becomes more and more intense, the enthusiasm of the people is also increasing. A European immigrant noble from Los Angeles even personally went to DreamWorks to donate a batch of family books, utensils and clothes about vampires to me, and was willing to give him a castle outside Hollywood that was not at most decades of history. It was built by him for free for us to shoot.
220, it was a sunny day with sunny weather, and the temperature began to rise. Although it was still chilly in spring, it was not as dry and cold as before. At the gate of DreamWorks, the opening ceremony of "Dracula Vampire" was officially launched.
The cocktail party before the start of the film industry is still a unique scenery of DreamWorks. Some friends from the movie industry invited to the party, but more of them were Harvey Street people. All the movies produced by DreamWorks are all Harvey Street people. Now when Harvey Street people introduce themselves to the outside world, they will no longer be as inferior as before and dare not tell their identity. They will proudly tell each other that they are Harvey Street people at the foot of DreamWorks. In Hollywood, there is now a saying: find extras and go to Harvey Street! However, if other companies look for them here, the price offered by Harvey Street people will be very high. As long as DreamWorks needs them, they would rather not have money and would willingly come over. In addition to being extras, they often voluntarily do drama business or even free labor.
The cocktail party lasted until noon. After lunch, the crew all drove into Pirate Lane in the East Side of Hollywood, where the Hollywood city government specially designated five blocks for us to shoot movies.
These five blocks are located on the edge of Pirate Lane, and the Hollywood East District Police Department sent a dedicated person to maintain public order, so it is very safe for the crew. One of the reasons why I chose this block is that the environment here is very consistent with the movie scenes I imagined in my mind. At night, the empty streets, the wet ground, the dim street lights, the darkness cast by the tall buildings on both sides, the old abandoned noble manors, the defeated garden mazes and cemeteries, and the fog that often appears at night. These things can't be found anywhere else. It can be said that Pirate Lane is simply a place where this movie exists.
The scenes that started filming in the afternoon were mainly medieval stories, with the main content being 1462 Turks invading Constantinople. The Turks who were united in politics and religion not only made the Byzantine Empire regime in danger, but also brought unprecedented challenges to Christianity. At this critical moment, Romanian general Count Dracula was ordered to bid farewell to his bride Elizabeth, bravely led the army to fight with the enemy and defeated the enemy. But just as he was about to win, rumors suddenly broke out in the city that Dracula failed and died. Elizabeth heard the news and jumped into the river to commit suicide. Dracula returned victoriously and welcomed him was indeed the bad news of the bride's death. In anger, he turned his resentment to God and the church, and said that he would always join evil forces and light as enemies, use human blood as food, and become an immortal vampire that lasted the previous year.
The medieval story is divided into more than a dozen scenes. In the afternoon, the preface of the Byzantine Empire fighting the Turks, as well as the passage of Dracula holding a wedding in the church and learning that the enemy is coming, saying goodbye to the bride and walking onto the battlefield.
The battle shots were taken in an open woodland north of Pirate Lane. The terrain was flat, with woodland, rivers, and hills. It was a good place to shoot war scenes.
The actor who plays the warring parties is nearly 800 actors on Harvey Street. The costumes and props are provided by Sanlige's third factory. It is no problem for Sanlige to produce hundreds of sets of medieval armor. There is no difficulty in preparing things like flags and war horses. After all, Sanshi was specifically responsible for providing this to the film company before.
Because I had experience shooting related major scenes when filming "Lust and Caution", the shooting in this area progressed very smoothly, and the extras performed extremely well.
The army of the Byzantine Empire, wearing armor and carrying cross-patterned battle flags, collapsed under the attack of the Turks surrounded by headscarves and wielding scimitars. The commander was chopped off his head by the enemy because of his pride and carelessness. The capital of the empire was finally exposed to the enemy.
under.
The person who plays this unlucky commander is Griffith. Seeing him getting slimly covered in a beard, put on his armor, and climbing onto a war horse clumsyly, I want to laugh. At first glance, I really can't recognize him.
Griffith is already tall. After putting on the armor, his silver-white beard floated down, and he really had such a commanding and majesty. He has been a director for his whole life and directed countless actors. Although he has never played a role himself, he has never eaten pork and has seen a pig run. He waved his hands in front of the camera and squinted his eyes and grinned his teeth. Not only did he surprise me, but he even exclaimed and exclaimed.
The old man pointed at the Turkish army arrogantly and scolded them for being a mob, but in the end, an enemy cavalry rushed to the front and was chopped off by a small cavalry scimitar. The one who killed his head was a suffocating. The actor played by Jack who drove for me. This arrangement finally had some connection with his nickname "Riser".
"Stenborough, come here quickly and help me take off this thing! Heavy and boring, I'm so tired!" As soon as I finished the filming, Griffith jumped off the horse and shouted at Stenborough who was smiling and bent over the side.
Stenberg came to me with his stomach covered, took off his armor and helped him walk to me.
Griffith sat on the chair, took a sip of water, and said to me: "Boss, for your movie, I don't even want an old face!"
I held back my smile and said, "David, not everyone can get such an opportunity. Think about it, this is definitely a movie that will be recorded in history. Don't you want the audience to remember your face decades later?! Besides, I think it's a great time when you filmed it!"
Griffith smiled and said, "It's a bitch! It's so satisfying to be an actor. Boss, is there any scenes for me?"
"It's gone." I replied.
"Ah?! How can that work? I just took a photo and felt it! You are adding one, or you can play supporting roles, and the cleaners sell sausages on the street, all of them are OK!" Griffith smiled flatteringly.
"David, when you divide your role, don't you even think that this role has too many scenes? Why are you going to add another show now??" Stenberg sarcastically said.
Griffith kicked Stenborg aside with a few kicks and turned to me and said, "Boss, just add a show."
Seeing the great director who had never asked for anything, he was humble for a role who played supporting role, I almost laughed: "David, your acting skills are so good. Although the role just now only lasted three minutes, it is guaranteed that all the audience will be impressed after watching it. In other words, you cannot have more than one second of the scenes in the future, otherwise it will be missed. Think about it, you are all dead people!"
"What should I do?! You can give me a character that will pass by in a flash." Griffith begged.
I smiled and looked through the script and said seriously: "When Dracula came out of the city to meet the enemy, there was a scene of a city woman sending off the team. You should play an elderly woman inside, covering her face with a headscarf, and the audience would not recognize you if they didn't look carefully."
"Hahahaha!" Before I could finish my words, Stiller, James and others next to me were laughing so hard that they were about to get cramps.
Griffith glanced at them fiercely, nodded vigorously and said, "Go ahead! Women are women!"
After filming the war scene, the next scene was filmed with Dracula leading a large army to defeat the Turks. After reorganizing the venue, the actors were uniformly replaced with new flag clothes, the shooting began.
When I appeared in the middle of the team wearing a special silver armor and riding a white purebred German high-legged horse, there were tsunami applause from the audience.
In history, Dracula's home patterns were a fierce red dragon. Although they were not the same dragon as the factory logo of DreamWorks, they looked a bit similar. In addition, I first appeared in the role and the extras were all Harvey Street people, so the atmosphere of the scene suddenly became warm.
"Look, Mr. Corleon is out!"
"I didn't expect to be able to film with Mr. Corleon, so lucky!"
"Yes, it's worth it to have such a time in your life!"
"I didn't expect Mr. Corleon to wear this armor, so majestic!"
...
The eyes of these Harvey people were filled with excitement, happiness and admiration, and many of them had moist corners of their eyes.
I was immediately holding the sword, shaking slightly, moved, and rushed to my face.
The scene broke out for more than ten minutes before it finally calmed down with Stenborough's shouting.
"Be careful, prepare and start shooting!" Stendburg held the guide, shouted, and the 8 cameras inserted in the team and on the side started at the same time.
As soon as I mentioned the war horse, I took the lead and waved my sword and rushed towards the "enemy army": "Byzantine warriors, drive these Turks to the Mediterranean to feed the fish!"
"Oh!" the person behind him shouted loudly.
Crash, slash, stop formation, charge again, intercept, and surround... The battlefield was carried out in a pre-arranged order, and the camera was completed in one go. Nearly ten minutes later, Stenberg shouted to stop.
I took a few close-ups and close-up fights alone, and it was finally over.
From the war horse
,I was sweating all over, and my shirt was soaked inside.
I don’t know the hard work of not being an actor. This set of armor weighs at least dozens of kilograms, and it’s not airtight to wear on the body, and it’s so tiring to rush and swing the sword.
Stiller and Dunar came over to unarm me. I collapsed in my seat and gasped, and said to Stenborough, "Stenborough, how are I acting?"
Stenborough rubbed his ears: "Boss, you didn't hear the screams here just now. Jiabao and Li's voices were almost hoarse, saying you were so handsome! Boss, I didn't expect that you would be so good at acting. It seems that if this movie was screened, the threshold of our DreamWorks would definitely be flattened by the girls! Jiabao, Julie, do you think so?"
Garbo and Julie kept nodding, almost lit their heads.
"What's the drama below?" I breathed.
"The play in the church." Stenborough looked at the storyboard script.
"Hurry up and finish the filming when it's dark." I directed everyone to clean up the "battlefield", and then led the actors into the car and drove to an old Gothic church in Pirate Lane.
This church was originally built when Protestants immigrated to America, and it was quite historical. There were two scenes filmed in the church. One was a scene where Dracula was told that the enemy was attacking the city and led troops to fight. The other was a scene where he returned victoriously and found that his bride Elizabeth died tragically, and he picked up a cross and vowed to be an enemy of God forever.
When we arrived at the church, a group of people had already cleaned and arranged the inside again.
The medieval curtains, costumes, crosses, bishops in priestly uniforms, peasants, soldiers, merchants, children running around, under the red carpet and flowers, a medieval wedding can begin at any time.
Elizabeth is played by Garbo, and she plays two roles, and she has high requirements for her. Elizabeth and Ellen in the play have very different personalities. As a medieval woman, Elizabeth was gentle and kind, and ended up being gentle. In modern society, Ellen has a strong and resolute personality and is independent in her heart. It is not easy to express the personalities of two people perfectly.
The armor on my body was not taken off, and a long red cloak was covered with an embroidered red dragon with a grinning embroidered on it. I didn't wear a helmet, but a wedding headdress similar to a crown. Jiabao was wearing a snow-white long skirt and a plain face. When he came out of it, everyone in the crew was stunned! So beautiful.
"Outdoors are ready! Boss, you and Jiabao first prepare for their relationship." Stenborough smirked twice and hid behind the camera.
After everything was ready, Stenborough waved and signaled to start shooting.
The first thing that appears in the camera is the sun in the sky, and then the camera gradually pulls open, and the round sun inside is stacked into Dracula's eyes. This technique can be done by shooting in two shots and then synthesizing it.
The camera is drawn from close-up into a panoramic view: the crowd in front of the church door is crowded, the petals are floating, and under the performance of the band, everyone sang and danced, with bright smiles on their faces. The camera swooped into the church, under a huge cross, Dracula, with a happy face, stood on the steps and watched his bride slowly walk towards him.
There are five cameras in the church, one above and one in the crowd, one next to Jiabao and I, and the last one is placed on the back of the cross, and the shots there represent God's scrutiny.
With the help of others, Jiabao walked towards me bit by bit. Her face was a little shy, shy and excited. She fully interpreted Elizabeth's complex mood when she got married.
Looking at her face, my heart trembled slightly. This face was so beautiful that it made people breathless.
"Boss, it's time for you to step forward." Dunar, who played the bishop next to me, whispered to me.
After he reminded me, I recovered from my dullness and realized that I was acting now. I quickly went forward and held Jiabao's hand.
The scene below is the old trick of the bishop reading the testimony on it. After exchanging the rings, the bishop pointed at me: "Earl, you can kiss your bride."
After hearing this, even though I knew I was acting, my heart beat like a drumbeat.
Jiabao closed his eyes shyly, raised his head slightly, and his small and warm mouth was full and plump.
"Go ahead!" I put my hand on Jiabao's waist and lowered my head and kissed him.
This kiss was lubricated and long, almost making me breathless.
And Jiabao actually trembled slightly in my arms, exhaling like an orchid.
There was thunderous applause in the church, and people threw the petals into the air.
Suddenly, a bell sound came from a distance, and everyone suddenly became quiet. A soldier covered in blood ran in from outside and reported that the enemy had defeated the Imperial army and had already reached the city.
Five cameras took close-ups of the faces of different actors. Some were unwilling to accept, some were afraid, and some were angry. Finally, there was Count Dracula's face, and his face was a calm smile.
Chapter completed!
