Chapter 18: Karp (4)(1/2)

This should be considered Alvin's first actual battle. No matter how many times he fought before, it was just training. The first time, if he lost, the opponent would really kill him.

On a dark night, three people galloped in the mountains and forests. Behind were large chasing soldiers holding torches.

"Don't run!"

"Stop it!"

Similar shouts came one after another.

"Why do villains like to shout such unnutritional words and don't stop and let them catch them?" Matthew was so tired that he was out of breath, but he still didn't forget to complain.

As we all know, horses are not suitable for running in the woods. If this forest is still in the mountains and it is night again, it will be even more unsuitable.

Before he could run far, the horse George was riding fell directly. George fell heavily to the ground, and the horse was stuck in his foot and could not stand up.

Alvin had to turn around and come back.

Reaching his hand, Alvin sat at the right time trying to pull George up.

The two looked at each other, but George did not reach out.

"You run quickly, a horse can't carry two people. I just happened to resist them so that you can run away." George struggled to stand up, pulled out the sword from his waist, and stopped Alvin.

In the distance, countless soldiers holding torches were rushing towards this place. From a distance, they looked like fireflies flying in the mountains.

Alvin hesitated for a moment, got off the horse, and stuffed his reins into George's hand.

"I'll stay, you go. Go back to Baicheng to report the news. Don't worry, they won't kill me. Killing me is meaningless. Only the captain of the fifth team of the Silver Moon Knights' Order will be useful."

After saying that, he pulled out his sword and pointed the flames at the sight of George.

George was stunned and looked at Alvin's side face quietly.

"My God..." Matthew, who had already run away, had to come back on a horse: "If you are caught up, none of us can run away! Do you understand? You can't run away! Alvin, just let him stay! Anyway, he is the heir to the title, and the other party will at least exchange him for a ransom! And his horse is in trouble, which means he is destined to stay!"

Turning his face, Alvin looked at George and said seriously: "I am the captain, you are the team member. Obey the order."

After hesitating for a while, George took a step back, saluted Elvin solemnly, and turned to Elvin's horse.

"Wait! What are you doing? Are you really going to keep him?" Matthew panicked.

Ignoring Matthew, George turned his horse and began to run wildly along the original road.

"Stop it!" Matthew roared, but he was not willing to get off the horse. He just looked back at Alvin standing in front of him, turned his head and chased after him.

The wind in the mountains was whistling, and the shadows of trees under the blue moonlight were like the claws of a demon. Alvin took off his helmet and stood alone, allowing the breeze to blow through his ears.

"George! You coward! You actually left Alvin alone!"

"What about you? Matthew, why didn't you give your horse to Alvin!"

"It's your horse that fell, not mine! You should stay!"

"It was Alvin who ordered me to leave. As a knight, I just obeyed the order!"

"You coward!"

"You are the coward!"

Matthew and George cursed each other from afar, and Alvin smiled helplessly, raised his head, and quietly waited for his opponent to appear in front of him.

...

"You are a coward!"

"You are the coward!"

"coward!"

"coward!"

...

Who would have thought of it?

After becoming a knight, you will take a mission for the first time, or take the first adventure in your life, and this is the ending. If you don’t do it well, it may be the last adventure.

When he got the magic armor, Alvin felt that his life had finally begun. But now, everything was about to end before it even started.

Speaking of which, it was ultimately disappointing my father's careful advice.

As a knight, he is too immature after all.

Slowly clenching the sword in his hand, Alvin stood quietly in the midnight wind.

Soon, a large number of soldiers appeared in front of him with torches. The green-armored knight was also among them. He drew out his sword, pointed at Alvin and shouted: "Put down the weapon!"

"That's impossible. If you have the ability, you can defeat me!" Alvin raised the sword in his hand and roared loudly: "Jingwei Sword!"

With this roar, he used all his strength.

The next moment, fifteen swords without hilts and five shields flew out of the big box behind Alvin and suspended in the air.

The soldiers present were stunned.

...

In the castle aisle, the middle-aged knight walked quickly with his hands holding the hilt of his sword. He went around in a few places, and finally came to a closed gate and gasped heavily.

"Sir, I've caught it."

Silence, dead silence.

After a moment of silence, the wooden door opened. The girl who had been standing in front of him: "So fast?"

"Yes, they left one behind."

"What does it mean? The rear end? Do you mean to catch one of the three?"

"Yes, but we caught the captain. The other two ran away. They actually left the captain behind and cut off the back."

"Where?"

“In the dungeon.”

The girl walked away quickly, and the middle-aged knight hurriedly chased after him.

...

The dark red cell, the torch inserted into the wall, swayed slightly, and the light and shadow of the entire cell were shaking.

The railings were covered with gray rust, and the floor was rough and cold stone surface. Only one window was left to allow the air outside to penetrate.

The scarred Alvin had been stripped of his armor and put on shackles.

He closed his eyes, expressionlessly, and quietly sat in the corner.

The girl, accompanied by the middle-aged knight, appeared outside the railing, standing quietly, looking at Alvin.

Slowly opening his eyes, Alvin looked at the girl, a little confused.

The two looked at each other silently.

The corners of the girl's mouth rose slightly.

"Are you the devil?" Alvin asked softly.

"Yes. My name is Dovna, Dovna Essel." The girl replied

"It's a trap, right?"

"When I was in Aspar, I was eyeing you. How about it? I didn't expect the Demon Envoy to be so young, right? Your arrival was originally expected."

"Okay." Alvin smiled helplessly.

"But honestly, it was quite unexpected. I didn't expect you to be caught so soon. I thought it would take at least a few days to struggle."

"It's just that I'm caught, you didn't catch the others."

"But others are not important, aren't they? I've found your situation very clearly. There are only three ordinary knights with magic armor. The most powerful ones are magic armor, not you."

"We are the Fifth Team of the Silver Moon Knights."

"I don't take any of the other Knights except your fourth team."

"Is that so? Thank you for your praise and tie me with the other three teams." Alvin smiled helplessly: "How do you plan to deal with me? Kill me or torture me?"

Dovna also smiled: "It is meaningless to torture you, and it is even a waste of time. Everything you have is not as valuable as your title. Captain of the Fifth Team of the Silver Moon Knights. I want to offer you to the abyss, and you will become a sacrifice to exchange for me a stronger devil."

After thinking about it, Alvin asked, “Are you a human?”

"Yes." Dovna replied.

"Then why defect to the demon?"

"Do I need to answer your question?" After saying that, Dovna took a step back and turned away without waiting for Alvin to answer.

In the prison, Alvin was left alone looking at the moon outside the window.

...

When it was gray and dawn, Matthew came out of the straw pile of a village outside Cape, and behind him was George, who was also in a mess.

Both of them had taken off their armor and looked at each other.
To be continued...
