Chapter 19: Richie's Will

Just as Gray was in the crack of the space and was working hard to improve himself, Mungis and Richie were still walking on the painful path.

"Tomorrow, we will send troops and take the capital of Gustav, Heilong City."

"Tomorrow?" Suddenly, the lords present couldn't help but be stunned, including Irene and Benedict II.

Benedict II hurriedly said, "His Highness Lich King, we are not fully prepared."

"If there is no deadline, it will never be ready. In fact, I think it may not take so many troops to attack Gustav. Judging from the information we know, Gustav is on the verge of collapse. Many nobles are ready to defect."

"But the agreement between us and them has not been fully signed, especially in terms of the conditions for surrender."

"No need to talk anymore." Ritchie replied firmly: "They who surrender to the Black Dragon and betray their justice are not qualified to talk to us about any conditions. Don't worry. When our army arrives under their walls, they will give up all conditions and choose to surrender."

"But our initial plan was not like this."

"What was our initial plan?"

After being asked this, Benedict II's expression froze suddenly, staring blankly at Ricci, or "Grey".

After a while, Benedict II recovered and looked at the lords standing beside him, pursed his lips and said awkwardly: "We have talked about this topic before. Your Highness the Lich King, you want to minimize casualties and avoid the losses caused by war as much as possible. You also said... and said that most people are just blinded, and they cannot be considered our real enemies."

Everyone was quietly watching Richie.

Faced with those gazes, Ricci seemed to be a little shaken, but it was only a moment. Soon, he said firmly again: "I have changed my mind. We have spent too much time on this meaningless bargaining, which is not worth it. We should take a more determined approach, such as using force directly to threaten them. When their lives are threatened, I have every reason to believe that those cowardly nobles will quickly change their minds in the face of force deterrence."

The lords all looked at Ricci in surprise, unable to believe their ears.

Yilin opened her eyes slightly.

The hall was quiet, and only the fire in the brazier was burning. The flames reflected the faces of the lords, and the dark gray armor that was exactly the same as his father.

"Can't I change my mind?" Ritchie asked.

"No, of course." Benedict II smiled reluctantly and replied, "As long as you think you are right, we will certainly support you very much. You have always been right, aren't you?"

"Yes, of course we support it."

"why not?"

"We definitely support your decision by His Highness the Lich King."

That's what he said, but the lords looked at each other and their eyes flashed.

In Elin's eyes, doubts were getting stronger and stronger. Even Ritchie could clearly feel the suspicion.

"Very good." Avoiding Irene's gaze, Ricci stood up with the armrest of the stone chair and said seriously: "Since you all agree, then, now you go back and act immediately. You have a night of preparation, and you must be prepared before dawn tomorrow. Can you do it?"

"Time is a little tight, but... can be done." King Barnett III of Allen nodded hesitantly.

“It can be done.”

"Can."

"When...of course."

The other lords also nodded.

"Since that's the case, then you guys go back first. Start preparing immediately."

"Okay, follow your instructions, Your Highness."

After saluting Gray, the lords retreated one by one and turned away.

Only Yilin stood still, motionless, staring at Richie blankly.

"What's wrong? Yilin..." Richie quickly swallowed it back when he reached the "auntie" on his lips. Perhaps to cover it up, Richie quickly coughed twice.

But as we all know, it is impossible for a lich to cough without a trachea and not even an esophagus.

Suddenly, the lords who had just walked away were all attracted by their eyes.

"What's wrong? Why don't you go right away? Time is very tight!" Ritchie hurriedly urging.

The tone was obviously a little heavy, unlike in the past. The lords were all confused, nodded quickly, and left in a hurry. Only Irene was still stunned and stared at Richie.

Soon, the lords all left the hall.

In the dark and deserted hall, only Ricci and Elin were left. The atmosphere was a bit weird.

"What's wrong?" Ritchie asked, "Are you ready?"

"You're not Gray." Elin said bluntly.

Suddenly, Ricci froze.

The next moment, he quickly said, "Of course I'm Gray, I don't know what you're talking about."

"No, you are not Gray." Elin stepped back step by step and said softly with a smile: "You are definitely not Gray. I am too familiar with Gray. Whether it is the tone or the content, you are definitely not him. You are just wearing a set of armor that is the same as him."

The soul fire in Ricky's eyes flashed wildly, his hand trembled slightly, and he could only reiterate and stressed again: "I am Gray."

"You are not. Let the real Gray tell me what happened. I know you must have encountered something wrong. I want to know what happened. Or you are willing to tell me that it's okay." Holding the hilt of the sword with your hands, Yilin stepped back to the door step by step and turned away.

Ritchie stared blankly at the half-open door and stood blankly.

...

Holding the hilt of the sword, Yilin walked down the circular stairs quickly, and glanced vigilantly at the surroundings.

In a blink of an eye, she had arrived at the gate of the castle.

The lords standing outside the door had not yet gotten on their horses, and they all looked at Yilin.

"Let's go." Then he said, Yilin had already ridden her horse and left with a shaking reins.

...

"Do you need to find a way to shut her up?" Salina's figure quietly appeared behind Ritchie.

"There is a pledge between her and her father." Ritchie replied softly.

"But there is no one with you."

"Are you tempting me with your demonic tricks?" Ritchie roared out.

Salina was so scared that she lowered her head and shrank aside: "I'm sorry!"

Unable to tell whether it was anger, fear, or helplessness, Ricci's body trembled slightly, looking at Salina. The soul fire in his eyes was burning.

Delia quietly appeared on the other side and stood motionless.

After a while, Richie relaxed a little and said softly: "Let's go see Uncle Brutu."

"What are you going to meet him?" Delia asked in a low voice.
