Chapter 17: Christina(2/2)

"Because... because I took a nap in the afternoon."

Well, sometimes things are so bizarre. It’s not just a coincidence that the opponent is strong.

Andrew recited a spell casually, and the boy's neck and limbs were quickly buckled to the floor by invisible force, and he was lying on his whole body, unable to move.

"You can't do this! You can't do this!" the boy struggled and shouted.

"Shut up, if you dare to say another word, I will sew your mouth. Believe me, it won't take much magic."

In a simple sentence, the boy was so scared that he quickly closed his mouth.

Andrew sat back on the sofa, covered himself with a blanket, and was about to continue sleeping. Suddenly, he found that Christina was still stunned.

"What's wrong?" Andrew asked.

The fire in the fireplace was burning.

"I think..." Christina stammered: "Maybe we shouldn't hand him over to the employer. He has admitted his mistake and has promised not to make any more. The key is... he looks pitiful."

Andrew sat on the sofa and watched silently.

Christina walked to the boy, squatted down, and whispered: "Tell me what bad things he did."

"He...I am an illegitimate son." The young man stammered: "This house was reserved by my father. My father had told others, but before he made a formal will, his father died. Then... Eugene took advantage of his father's family's eagerness to get rid of his father's promise and bought the house cheaply."

"So where he was broken, why didn't I hear it?" Andrew said expressionlessly: "It sounds like a normal transaction. You are an illegitimate child. If you don't have a will, you really don't have any inheritance rights."

"But my father has agreed!"

"But he did not make a will."

"But...but..." The boy could no longer speak, tears began to flow, and he lay on the ground and sobbed.

"Get a break early," Andrew said to Christina: "He himself is unable to argue. Let them solve this problem by themselves."

Christina stared at the boy blankly, for some reason, tears suddenly appeared in her eyes.

Andrew was stunned for a moment.

Turning his face, Christina said to Andrew: "We... let's let him go. He is innocent."

"What did you say?" Andrew was stunned.

"It's not his fault that his father did not make a will."

"Whose fault is that?"

"He is also a victim. And... and he has promised not to commit it again."

Andrew didn't know how to continue.

"And...and isn't Mr. Trudeau a righteous mercenary regiment commander? If we hand him over, Eugene will make things difficult for him." Looking at Andrew, Christina's expression was extremely firm.

Andrew was helpless.

The entire living room was quiet, leaving only the sound of the buzzing fire and the sobs of the boy.

Christina slowly opened her eyes wide.

After a while, Andrew casually removed the magic from the boy, lay on the sofa, and turned his back.

The boy jumped up and shrank into the corner, looking at Andrew in horror.

"I don't agree with this decision, it has nothing to do with justice or not. At least in the scope I know, letting him go does not mean justice. But, whatever you want. Anyway, we already know the truth."

"Thank you." Christina lowered her head, smiled reluctantly, and looked at the boy in the corner: "You can leave, no one will hurt you."

The boy rushed to the yard immediately.

"The gate is here!" Christina hurriedly chased out.

"No, I'd better go back the same way!" After a few steps, the boy had already climbed over the wall and disappeared in front of Christina's eyes.

"You wait!"

In a blink of an eye, Kristina was the only one left in the yard with snow. Everything was quiet.

Will the boy come back?

Of course not.

Christina looked down slightly, looked at the gold coins she held in her hand, and looked melancholy: "Actually, I wanted to give him some money. After all,... he doesn't seem to be doing well. An illegitimate child will always be bullied...especially the kind of father is not around."

As she said that, she wanted to turn around and go back to the house.

"What's wrong?" Just now, a voice rang in her mind.

Turning back, Christina suddenly saw the young man in the white robe of the dragon clan standing behind her.
