Chapter 57: Cleaning up

Although he felt a little casual about the reason why Ibuki Tamao suddenly came to him, Kiritani Tetsuya still helped him move the several large boxes stacked at the door into the room.

After finishing moving all the things at the door, Kiritani Tetsuya and Ibuki Tamao took some time to take out the things in the box one by one and put them in the appropriate places according to the girl's instructions.

But in fact, the things that Ibuki Tamao piled outside the door were not too many. It took the two of them at most twenty minutes to place the various items and paintings in the box neatly in various places in the room.

Only then did Kiritani Tetsuya have the time to look at the studio rented by Ibuki Tamao.

Because Ibuki Tamao only intends to use this studio as a studio for himself to concentrate on painting, and has no intention of using it for teaching, the overall space is not too big, at most it is only the size of the living room in Kiritani Tetsuya's home.

But the location is quite good. It only takes a few minutes to walk from the tram station. The only drawback may be that it is located in a commercial street where people come and go all year round, and it may be noisy sometimes.

But since Ibuki Tamao himself chose this location for painting, Kiritani Tetsuya couldn't say anything more.

"How about it, Kiritani-san, do you think this place is suitable?"

Seemingly noticing that Kiritani Tetsuya was paying attention to the layout of the entire studio, Ibuki Tamao quietly walked up to him and asked with a little curiosity on his face.

"Well, I think it's okay as a private studio. It has enough space and convenient transportation. Judging from the design position of the windows, the indoor lighting is probably good."

Kiritani Tetsuya slowly retracted his wandering gaze, walked to the window and looked down at the lively street scene downstairs.

"Are there no other reasons?"

Ibuki Tamao blinked his eyes slightly disappointed.

"That's all I can think of at the moment."

Kiritani Tetsuya shook his head and said, a little confused as to what Ibuki Tamao's last sentence meant.

"I see."

Ibuki Tamao nodded calmly, but there was an imperceptible sadness in his originally bright eyes.

"But what Kiritani-san said makes sense, and more importantly, there are no surveillance cameras here."

Ibuki Tamao, who quickly recovered, took over Kiritani Tetsuya's words and continued. After saying this, he turned his head and glanced at Kiritani Tetsuya with a meaningful look.

"There's no need to talk about this kind of thing separately."

Kiritani Tetsuya almost choked at the girl's words, and he couldn't help but recall the experience of being pulled closer to the storage room by Ibuki Tamao a few days ago.

"Isn't this woman still worried about what I said in the storage room before?" Kiritani Tetsuya guessed in his heart.

Seeing Ibuki Tamao's slightly unwilling look, Kiritani Tetsuya felt that the possibility of this guess was very high.

Fortunately, after the girl finished saying this, she did not take any further actions or words, but quietly accompanied Kiritani Tetsuya to watch the brightly lit street under the window, as well as the pedestrians and couples passing by on the street one after another.

Then whenever he saw a couple holding hands walking downstairs, Ibuki Tamao would stretch out his white hand and hold Kiritani Tetsuya's slightly generous palm, wait until the couple disappeared completely, then let go, and the cycle continued.

In the end, Tetsuya Kiritani couldn't bear it anymore and couldn't help lowering his head and asked quietly: "Ibuki-san, can I ask you what you are doing?"

"I thought Kiritani-san kept staring at the street outside the window because he was envious of the couples holding hands, so I tried my best to fulfill Kiritani-san's little wish."

Ibuki Tamao also turned his head, his eyes as clear as spring water looked directly into Kiritani Tetsuya's eyes,

"Who told you that I stood there because I was envious of the lovers passing by?"

Kiritani Tetsuya weakly held his forehead,

"So you are actually resting here?"

Ibuki Tamao pretended to be thinking and said.

"Well, you can say yes."

Kiritani Tetsu also thought about it, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with using the word rest to describe his behavior at the moment.

"Have you had enough rest, Kiritani-san?"

"That's almost it."

"Then can you please clean this room with me again? I want to start painting in this studio from tomorrow."

Ibuki Tamao said with a little pleading.

"Then why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Kiritani Tetsuya looked at the girl next to him with a complicated expression, and then looked at the wall clock on the wall that said it was almost ten o'clock.

"Is there anything important tonight, Kiritani-san?"

Ibuki Tamao asked in confusion.

"It's not that important, but... forget it, let's get started."

Kiritani Tetsuya thought for a while and finally agreed to Ibuki Tamao's request.

Anyway, I have informed Utsunomiya Miu in advance, so there should be no problem.

Thinking this way, Kiritani Tetsuya picked up a broom and dustpan from the corner of the room, while Ibuki Tamao walked out of the room with a bucket in both hands, intending to go to the public toilet to bring a bucket of water back.

When Kiritani Tetsuya had basically cleaned the floor in the studio, Ibuki Tamao happened to walk in carrying a plastic bucket filled with water.

So then the two of them began to use a rag to scrub the tables, chairs and objects in the studio carefully and in places that might be frequently touched.

Perhaps there was a lot of debris accumulated in the studio, and Ibuki Tamao brought some things from home, so scrubbing the studio took more time than imagined, at least five times the time it took to sweep the floor just now.

More than times.

By the time the entire studio room had been scrubbed clean by Kiritani Tetsuya and his wife, the streets downstairs were no longer as lively as before, and many stores had even closed their doors.

Kiritani Tetsuya, who had cleaned the entire studio, was slumped on a back chair. He had not done any major cleaning for a long time and his body was so sore that he could hardly lift it up. He felt that the lactic acid content in his body had reached its peak today.

"Thank you for your hard work, Kiritani-san."

At this time, Ibuki Tamao, who had also finished his cleaning work, came to Kiritani Tetsuya with a cup of hot water and carefully placed it on the table next to him.

"Are you feeling tired, Kiritani-san?"

While bending down to drain the water, Ibuki Tamao noticed the fatigue on Kiritani Tetsuya's face.

"It's okay. You'll be fine after a while."

Kiritani Tetsuya waved his hand, stretched out his right hand and took the water glass placed on the table.

"How about I massage Kiritani-san for a while? Even Sister Rin praises my massage skills. I believe Kiritani-san will like it."

Looking at Kiritani Tetsuya's body slumped on the armchair, Ibuki Tamao stood there and thought about it for a while, and then suddenly said aloud.

"But your hands are probably too tired to lift up." Tetsuya Kiritani replied.

"I never said I would press it for you with my hands."
