Chapter 36 Nauglamir Necklace

Elrond didn't want to see his daughter far away, so he turned his attention to Thorin, who was standing at the front of the dwarf expedition.

It must be admitted that, except for the matter of Gao Yuan and his daughter, Elrond is still very generous.

Even though the dwarves and the elves had turned against each other and had a feud a long time ago, Elrond was still able to treat Thorin and the other dwarves calmly and kindly.

"Welcome, Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thorne." Elrond welcomed Thorin's arrival, which also told them that he had no ill intentions towards them.

Based on Thorin's stubborn opinion on the elves, he thought Elrond was being hypocritical and polite at this time.

"I don't remember that we've ever met." Thorin had indeed never met Elrond, only his grandfather had seen him.

"You look a lot like your grandfather."

"I know your grandfather Thor, I have known him since he was still ruling the Lonely Mountain." Elrond explained.

Thorin sneered: "That's right, he never mentioned you."

Gao Yuan watched the conversation between the two, and he had to say that Thorin was quite good at irritating others.

Even Elrond, who had a very good temper, almost broke his defense, but he still suppressed his inner unhappiness.

"You have no respect for me, but I will still invite you, my guests, to have a sumptuous dinner. (Elvish)" Elrond said the most polite words in the cruelest tone.

Gao Yuan secretly praised his father-in-law. He is indeed an old guy who has lived for 6,440 years. His magnanimity is really beyond the comparison of ordinary people. If it were him, he would have grabbed Thorin and blasted him with a hammer.

Elrond said this in the Elvish language that the dwarves could not understand, and his tone was not pleasant, so the dwarves misunderstood that he was insulting them.

For this reason, Ge Luoyin jumped out and shouted excitedly: "What is he talking about? Is he insulting us?"

At this time Gandalf stood up and explained to Elrond: "Mr. Groyin, Lord Elrond means that he has prepared dinner for you."

The members of the dwarf expedition finally stopped, and everyone headed to the banquet hall under the leadership of Elrond.

On the way to the banquet hall, Qili approached Gao Yuan and asked.

However, Gao Yuan was holding Yawen's hand at this time and was in a beautiful mood. He didn't want to pay much attention to the dwarves.

But he couldn't stand Qili's tireless questioning.

"Mr. Gao Yuan, Mr. Gao Yuan, you should know the Elvish language, right? I think you should know what the Elf Lord just said. Was he insulting us?"

Gao Yuan turned his head helplessly, and the thirteen dwarves were looking at him expectantly.

"First of all, Kili, I have to tell you that elves will not use elven language to insult others in front of others."

"Because this is also a kind of blasphemy against their own race and language. Secondly, what Gandalf told you is not wrong."

After Gao Yuan finished speaking, he took Yawen and left. Yawen glanced at the dwarves.

"I didn't know that Gao Yuan you could also speak Elvish."

Gao Yuan shrugged his shoulders and said: "I have always understood Elvish language. When I was a child, my father had a good relationship with an Elf, and I learned it from him."

Yawen patted Gao Yuan's chest heavily: "You never told me."

Yawen's face turned red, and she looked at Gao Yuan shyly.

Since Gao Yuan understands Elvish, then what she said that night in front of the Mirror of Galadriel in Lothlorien was listened to by Gao Yuan.

Gao Yuan grabbed Yawen's hand with a wicked smile: "This is not important anymore. You have never asked me. What is important is that you confessed your love to me first that night."

How could Gandalf and Elrond who were walking in front not hear Gao Yuan and Arwen's fight.

The corners of Elrond's mouth kept twitching, and his eyelids kept twitching.

Gandalf felt that the old friend next to him exuded a murderous aura.

Sitting at the dining table, most of the dwarves had little appetite because the dishes on the dining table were all vegetarian.

In fact, elves also eat meat, but they don't eat much. As for why there are only vegetarian dishes on the table, Gao Yuan glanced at Thorin and said, "It's not your fault."

Gandalf, Elrond, Gao Yuan, Arwen and Thorin did not sit with the other dwarves, but sat alone at a small round table.

The dwarves were playing and playing below, and Gandalf told Elrond about their various experiences along the way from the Shire to Rivendell.

When she heard that Gao Yuan was fighting the troll, Yawen, who was sitting next to Gao Yuan, couldn't help but reach out and hold Gao Yuan's hand, and Gao Yuan gave her a comforting expression.

"Father-in-law... Lord Elon... I found a treasure in the troll's cave. I want to give it to Yawen as a gift." Gao Yuan quickly changed his words and almost said what he was saying. He was pretty

Mimi glanced at Elrond's expression.

"I want to give it to Yawen. I wonder if the knowledgeable Lord Elon can help me see if this gift is worthy of Yawen's noble status." Gao Yuan took the gift from the gold box.

The authentic necklace was taken out of the pocket.

Elrond didn't care much at first, but when Gao Yuan took out the necklace from his arms, his eyes widened and he stood up in shock.

"Nauglamir!" Elrond quickly walked around the dining table and walked to Gao Yuan.

He squatted down between Gao Yuan and Yawen. He put his hands in a tray shape, as if to say, show me quickly.

When Gandalf heard Elrond calling his name, he stood up. He knew how important this necklace was to Elrond.

Gao Yuan and Yawen held the necklace together, and they both handed the necklace into Elrond's hand.

Even at dusk, the necklace was still twinkling with starlight.

Elrond took the necklace from the two men's hands and caressed the necklace with his face lovingly.

Holding the necklace in her palm.

"Gao Yuan, where did you get this necklace? I originally thought it had been lost in the sea."

Elrond's voice was trembling, and Gao Yuan noticed a tear flowing from his eyes.

Gao Yuan truthfully told the process of obtaining the necklace.

"This is a relic of my mother's family, Nauglamir."

"It once had a Silmaril set in it. During the tragedy that happened at the mouth of Sirion, my mother took this necklace and the Silmaril on it and threw it into the sea, while my brother Elros and I

Adopted by my adoptive father."

"I have never seen this necklace since." Elrond began to tell the history of this necklace.

"How I wish my brother, Elros, could be here right now to witness the reappearance of this necklace with me."

"All the tragedies of my mother's family stem from this necklace and the Silmaril that Beren took from Morgoth's crown and set in it."

Elrond gently touched the patterns and gems on the necklace. He vaguely remembered the scene when his mother let him play with this necklace when he was a child. The two brothers had been separated from their mother for many years, and he was only six years old at that time.

"Lord Elrond, I want to give this necklace to Arwen. Although there is a Silmaril missing from it, it should be regarded as returning it to its original owner," Gao Yuan said.

Elrond looked at Gao Yuan and Yawen. The two looked at each other, their eyes full of sincerity and love.

Elrond wiped the tears from his eyes and nodded heavily.
