Chapter 29 Captured

Seeing that Bilbo was discovered by the troll and was about to be caught and eaten, the dwarves could no longer sit still.

The first ones to rush out were Fili and Kili. Bilbo was encouraged by them to steal the horse, so when they saw Bilbo in danger, these two people were the first to jump out.

"Put him down!" Fili jumped out and shouted, waving the broadsword in his hand.

"What did you say?" the troll asked in a sullen voice.

"He said, let you put him down!" Kili walked out from behind Fili.

The troll sneered, and then threw Bilbo directly towards the two of them.

In order to catch Bilbo, the two men had no choice but to drop their weapons and reach out to catch Bilbo. As a result, both of them were thrown to the ground.

Like a signal, more dwarves raised their weapons and roared out from the woods behind the two of them.

Thirteen dwarves and three trolls quickly fought together.

Bofur swung his mace and hit a troll's toe hard. The pain caused the troll to cover his toes and jump on one foot.

Every time the troll jumped, the whole ground would tremble.

The three trolls were caught off guard, and each of them was besieged by an average of four dwarves.

The dwarves have a clear division of labor. Two dwarves using maces or battle axes attack the troll's feet.

The other two dwarves who used broad swords defended them from the attacks from the trolls.

For a moment, the trolls were beaten so hard that they were unable to fight back, and one troll was even pushed into the fire.

"Ahhh...I'm on fire, on fire." The troll screamed and jumped out of the fire. As soon as he jumped out, he was greeted by several broadswords and maces.

Bilbo fell to the ground from mid-air, and when he stood up unsteadily, all the dwarves had already rushed into the battlefield.

He saw the dwarves and trolls mingling together and quietly leaving the center of the battlefield.

Pick up the giant scythe dropped by the troll and cut off all the hemp ropes holding the expedition team's horses.

He has not forgotten his mission. He doesn't know how to fight, and he doesn't have a weapon. What about a scythe? He carries it, right? He can't swing it at all.

He had no way to help the fighting dwarves, so he chose to save the horses.

The dwarves took the first-mover advantage and caught the trolls off guard. The battlefield situation once showed a one-sided crushing situation.

Unfortunately, the dwarves were no match for the trolls, even if they took the initiative from the beginning.

When the troll reacted and started to fight back, the dwarf seemed a little powerless.

Trolls are huge, very powerful, and have rough skin and thick flesh.

The damage done to them by the dwarves just now was just a little superficial injury and could not pose a threat to them at all.

A troll grabbed Noli fiercely and tried to tear him into two pieces.

Seeing this, Fili stepped on a piece of rotten wood and jumped up, slashing the troll's hand with his sword.

The troll was in pain and threw Noli to the ground.

Pangbo was slapped by the troll and flew away, and his weapon was nowhere to be found.

The troll caught up and was ready to trample the hateful dwarf into a pulp.

Qi Qi stretched his bow and nocked an arrow, and shot three arrows in the troll's face, giving Pang Bo a chance to breathe and escape.

The dwarves, who originally cooperated well, were dispersed by the counterattacking trolls. Everyone could only fight on their own, and the entire battlefield fell into chaos.

They have to be constantly vigilant. If they are not careful, they may be trampled to pieces, or they may be caught by trolls, crushed to death and torn into pieces.

A group of dwarves kept retreating in a tacit understanding, and finally they gathered together. Ouli, who had no time to evacuate, was thrown away by the troll and rolled four or five times on the ground before being caught by other dwarves.

"Where is Bilbo? Has anyone seen him?" Thorin shouted, picking up his broadsword.

"There he is!" Fili pointed behind the troll.

Obviously, the troll who had lost his target also discovered the hobbit behind him.

As soon as Bilbo reacted and tried to escape, he was unfortunately caught by the troll.

"Bilbo!" When Kili saw Bilbo being caught, he wanted to rush to save him.

However, Thorin pulled him back: "Don't go there."

I saw Bilbo being held up in the air, with two trolls grabbing his limbs respectively. As long as the trolls exerted a little force, he would be cut into pieces.

"Put down your weapons!"

"Or I will tear him apart." The troll's head shouted.

Bilbo was in shock, staring at Thorin who was about to decide his fate.

Thorin was hesitant in his heart at this time. On the one hand, he wanted to save Bilbo's life, and on the other hand, he wanted to surrender and be captured. Everyone would die the same.

He remembered what Gandalf had said to him in the forest of the Lonely Land.

"Gao Yuan is now your partner and a member of the expedition team. Regardless of his relationship with the elves, this has nothing to do with being your friend and whether he is worthy of your trust."

"He is willing to help you deal with the evil dragon in Gushan without making any demands from you. You cannot trust even a partner who has been through life and death."

"Thorin Oakenshield, I don't know who else you can trust, me? Or your dwarf friends? Or Mr. Bilbo Baggins? I know you don't trust him."

Thorin thought of this and finally chose to drop the weapon in his hand.

Seeing this, the other dwarves also dropped their weapons.

The dwarves who gave up resistance were put into sacks by the troll.

The troll is putting several dwarves on barbecue skewers, preparing to have a meal of charcoal-grilled dwarf skewers.

Thorin, Bilbo and others were stuffed into sacks and thrown aside.

Suddenly a sound similar to the roar of a dragon resounded throughout the sky.

Hearing this sound, the trolls who were preparing to roast the dwarves started running around in fear.

"Is that the roar of a dragon? It's so scary, it's the dragon coming!!!" Robb, the timidest troll, held his head and screamed.

The dwarves who had been cursing all fell silent.

Looking at the trolls milling around, Bilbo looked at Thorin, because he and Balin were the only ones here who had really heard the roar of the dragon.

"Is this really the roar of a dragon, Thorin?"

"Is it the evil dragon from the Lonely Mountain, Smaug, who came here?" Bilbo asked.

The other dwarves also turned their attention to Thorin, and Thorin shook his head.

"I don't know if this is the voice of the dragon, but I am certain that it is not the voice of Smaug." Thorin said solemnly.

At this time, they were like a group of lambs waiting to be slaughtered, tied in sacks. Another giant dragon came, which was too bad.

Bilbo looked at Balin and continued to ask: "Are there other evil dragons in this world?"

Balin thought for a while: "I think Smaug should be the last dragon in Middle-earth."

Thorin stopped paying attention to the chatter between Bilbo and the other dwarves.

The problem they have to face at this time is not the sudden appearance of the evil dragon, but that they are about to become the troll's dinner.

Thorin kept squirming his body. He took out a dagger from his arms and was cutting the rope that tied the linen bag tightly.

The troll, who was frightened by the roar of the dragon, finally calmed down. The troll Menbai slapped the smallest troll Robb on the head.

Bilbo shrank back. If this slap were to hit him, he would probably turn into a pile of mud.

"Let us continue..." said the Troll.
