Chapter 116 My baby!!!

Unfortunately, Kili and Fili did not listen to Bilbo's advice and insisted on entering the Lonely Mountain.

Following Thorin, the two went through countless hardships all the way from the Blue Mountains, and finally arrived at the gate of the Lonely Mountain. How could they give up the opportunity to enter the Lonely Mountain and see the treasure.

They saw Thorin, who had gone crazy, in the ruins of the collapsed dwarf hall.

Thorin welcomed his two belated nephews.

After a brief reunion, he commanded a group of dwarves and began to clean up the ruins left by the battle between Gao Yuan and Smaug, searching for the whereabouts of the Arken Stone among the gold, silver and jewelry on the ground.

But even though they searched for five days in the treasure house, they still could not find the whereabouts of the Aken Stone.

He sat on top of the gate of the Lonely Mountain, secretly sad that Bilbo did not join the dwarves in their search for the Arken Stone.

At this moment, he was very lucky that he had stuffed the Arken gem he found into Gao Yuan's body. The gem had become Thorin's magic barrier, which made him fall into extreme madness.

Even if he hasn't seen the gem yet, it's just like what Balin said.

Thorin will probably be even crazier now that he has the gem.

If the gem was still on his body now, it would only become a hot potato. He was very scared of Thorin, who had now changed his appearance.

He was afraid that one day Thorin would suspect that one of them had stolen the gem.

Maybe he'd do a pat-down of them all.

The fact is just as Bilbo imagined, all this will come soon.

On the seventh day of searching for the Arken Stone, Thorin, who had not been able to find the Arken Stone, stood in front of the throne that originally belonged to his grandfather.

This throne made of gold and gems was now torn into pieces, and the Arken gemstone originally embedded on it was missing.

In the past few days, they have turned over the entire treasure house, but they have never found any trace of the Arken gem.

So, Thorin, who fell into madness, couldn't help but began to wonder. Since there was no trace of the Arken gem in the treasure house, could someone have found the gem and deliberately hidden it?

Thinking of this, his expression gradually became ferocious, and there was a hint of fierceness in his eyes. It was a look that Bilbo had never seen before. That look was more frightening than the golden light in the eyes of the evil dragon Smaug.

Thorin turned his head suddenly and looked at Balin and Dwalin standing under the steps of the throne.

"Listen carefully and tell others that if anyone finds the Arken Stone and dares to hide it secretly, I will punish him severely."

Balin shook his head in disappointment. He was not afraid of Thorin's eyes or threats.

"Are you doubting our loyalty to you?"

"The Aken gem is the inherited treasure of our family. No one would want to keep it privately!"

Balin's younger brother Dwalin also added at the right moment: "He is a jewel that belongs to the king."

Thorin's eyes became even fiercer and he shouted: "Am I not the king?"

The happy life of the dwarves wandering in the ocean of gold and searching for Arken gems soon passed.

One night, an unknown number of days had passed since the evil dragon died in the sky above Changhu Town, and many fires suddenly lit up in the ruins of River Valley Town.

Bilbo has never liked the sulfur-smelling air in the Lonely Mountain, which always reminds him of the evil dragon that stayed here before.

He preferred to sit on the gate of Lonely Mountain and breathe the moist air blowing from the south. He was the first person to notice the light of fire in River Valley Town.

"They are already here!" Bilbo shouted and rushed into the lonely mountain. "Their camp is very large. This army must have come up along the rushing river under the cover of night and forest."

The dwarves stopped searching for the Arken gems. They came to the gate of the Lonely Mountain and stared at the army moving up the rushing river.

They held torches high in their hands and slowly entered the valley city like a long snake. The dwarves could clearly distinguish and see the fully armed human and elf archers among them.

Like a frightened bird, Thorin hurriedly opened the armory in Gushan and began to distribute armor and weapons to all the dwarves.

He would even personally put on the battle armor for each dwarf, or check whether they were dressed neatly.

Bilbo stood aside and watched all this happening. He never maliciously speculated on other people's motives, but now even Bilbo couldn't stand it anymore.

This isn't about putting on armor or checking clothes for others. It's like searching everyone's body.

Search them for hidden gems!

Bilbo was very disgusted with Thorin's behavior.

When everyone was "dressed up", Thorin turned his attention to Bilbo.

He came to him with a set of exquisite chain mail in his hand.

"I think you'll need this!"

"Let me help you put it on." Thorin said with a smile on his face.

Bilbo looked at the smile on Thorin's face and really wanted to sneer.

You must know that Thorin has almost never smiled at him since setting off from Hobbiton.

In the end, he let Thorin put on the chain armor for himself. He was not afraid because the Arken Stone was no longer on his body.

"This chain mail is made of mithril." Thorin explained while helping Bilbo "put on" the mithril armor.

"Put it on, and no sword can harm you, not even those elves' swords."

After Thorin's search, he did not find the Arken Stone on Bilbo. He was a little happy, but also a little disappointed.

When Thorin's dirty hands left his shoulders, Bilbo began to look at the mithril armor on his body.

"This seems a bit funny. I'm not a warrior, I'm just a hobbit. I don't suit this armor." Bilbo didn't want to accept this armor.

Firstly, Thorin's purpose in giving this armor to him was not simple; secondly, he felt a little guilty and hid his gem himself.

Thorin glanced at the other dwarves who were showing off and changed the topic: "Sometimes your most trusted friend may not really be worthy of your trust. I was wrong before, but now I can see clearly."

"Others must think I'm crazy now. They talk about me behind my back, but they never dare to say it to my face." Thorin pulled Bilbo aside.

Bilbo touched his nose awkwardly.

He seems to be the one who talks about Thorin the most behind his back.

Well....that's rude.

"Someone betrayed me!" Thorin said firmly.

Bilbo was stunned when he heard this. Did he discover that he hid the gem and secretly gave it to Gao Yuan?

"betray?"

"Arken Gem." Thorin looked at the dwarves behind him.

Bilbo couldn't help but swallow his saliva, and he became a little nervous.

"One of us hid it and they lied to me."

Bilbo's eyes were wide open and his heart was beating hard. It took him a long time to come back to his senses.

"Thorin, your wish has come true. You helped your people take back the Lonely Mountain. They now have a new home. Isn't that enough? Why must we find the gem?" Bilbo didn't want to continue.

Seeing Thorin being suspicious of his compatriots again, he wanted to persuade Thorin to give up searching for gems.

"No! I can't forgive being betrayed by my own compatriots, no matter whether his intentions are good or bad!" Thorin almost shouted in excitement.

Thorin accidentally saw the pocket of Bilbo's coat. There was a bulging place there, as if there was a kind of magic there, which deeply attracted his attention.

"That gem belongs to me, no one can take it away, it is...my treasure..."

Bilbo was shocked when he heard this. He knew this sentence all too well. He was in the underground lake under the Orc Town, and he was in Mirkwood.

But now, he heard these words again, Bilbo quickly put his hand into his coat pocket, covering the ring that he had almost forgotten.

Thorin's expression was in a trance.
