Chapter 33 Revenge

October 27, 2007, 3:46 a.m. Chicago time.

Sacred Heart Maria Hospital of Chicago.

A frightened woman's scream broke the silence of the inpatient unit.

Several security guards from the hospital came after hearing the news and found the woman who had fainted from fear in the women's restroom on the fifth floor, and——

The most horrific and bloody painting they had ever seen on the wall at the end of the women's room.

At 5:48 in the morning, the sky is at its darkest moment before dawn.

Flashing red and blue police lights lit up the pale white floor of the inpatient department. The downstairs of Sacred Heart Maria Hospital was already full of police cars, and police officers wearing Chicago Police Department uniforms cordoned off the scene.

"God, this is definitely the weirdest murder scene I have ever seen..."

"Don't get me those hot dogs covered in hot sauce. I lose my appetite when I see red."

A dense cordon has been set up on the fifth floor where the crime occurred. The police officers who were called out in the middle of the night to carry out this emergency mission all looked nervous and were smoking and relaxing in the corridor.

"bite!"

When the elevator reached the fifth floor, the elevator door opened, and von Schneider walked out with an indifferent expression.

His exaggerated appearance in black clothes and a mask immediately attracted the attention of the police guarding the elevator door.

"Chicago Police Department, this is a restricted area, no one is waiting..."

But before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Schneider's cold eyes.

"Special Department, please inform your superior in charge of this case to come see me."

Behind Schneider, a man in a black trench coat stepped forward, waved the ID in his hand in front of the police and then immediately took it back.

The policeman guarding the elevator didn't even see the emblem on his ID card clearly, but he couldn't figure out the origin of the awesome and coaxing duo in front of him.

But after all, he has been around for so long, and he still knows how to observe people's emotions. He will go to the leader when he needs to, and he will blame the blame when he needs to, and he will never cause trouble for himself.

He pressed the intercom hanging on his chest:

"Hey, boss, there are two people from the special department in the elevator who want to see you. Please come over."

About half a minute later, a middle-aged police officer hurriedly walked out of a ward in the corridor.

"I'm the deputy commissioner of the Chicago Police Department... I didn't expect you to actually come."

The middle-aged police officer seemed to finally breathe a sigh of relief after seeing Schneider and wiped his sweat repeatedly.

"Your superiors should have informed you, right? You now have five minutes to evacuate your people from the scene."

"Our department will take over this place next."

The man in black trench coat said.

"No, three minutes."

Schneider's hoarse voice sounded, and then he swept towards the end of the corridor without looking back.

"Okay, our minister will say three minutes. You should do it as soon as possible."

The man in black trench coat patted the deputy director on the shoulder, completely ignoring his police title and the power it represented, and followed Schneider closely.

"No problem, I'll tell them to leave now."

The deputy director did not show dissatisfaction. Instead, he picked up the walkie-talkie with relief and issued an order for all police officers to evacuate the hospital.

The police officers who received the evacuation order for the first time were still a little confused. They were called up in the middle of the night to perform emergency tasks and now they were asked to leave?

But they did not dare to disobey the deputy director's order. After repeating the order for the second time, the police officers, forensic scientists, sample collectors and other police station personnel packed up their things and took the safe passage to leave the fifth floor.

"Are those the FBI? Or the CIA?"

"Although the crime scene tonight is a bit cruel...but it won't attract them here."

The policeman guarding the elevator asked in a low voice.

"Don't ask questions you shouldn't! It's an order from the leadership above. If anyone wants to take over this mess, let them take over!"

The deputy director said.

"bite!"

The elevator ran to the fifth floor again.

A group of men in black trench coats carrying boxes poured into the floor. Their actions were as neat and uniform as their clothes, and they began to take over the place with efficient and silent actions.

"You two, take the elevator down by the way."

A man in a black trench coat politely asked the deputy director and the policeman guarding the elevator to leave, leaving them no choice.

"OKOK..."

The deputy director agreed, his eyes catching sight of the silver half-dead World Tree badge worn on the chest of the black windbreaker.

After confirming that all irrelevant personnel had cleared the scene, Schneider held down the headset and ordered coldly:

"The blockade team blocked the corridor entrances on the fifth and fourth floors, and no one is allowed to enter these two floors;"

"The investigation team immediately began a sweeping investigation and could not let go of any trace;"

"The control team can directly control the arrest of any suspicious person found, and is allowed to use Frigga bullets. If there is resistance, live ammunition can be used."

"The operational martial law is raised to A, and the operation begins."

An institution called the Executive Department of the Academy of Kassel took over the management of the Sacre-Coeur Hospital.

The black cheetahs opened their suitcases, silently assembled their cold firearms, and filled the magazines with red bullets.

The operational martial law is A, which means there is a possibility of fighting.

In Kassel College, where the learning atmosphere is no different from an ivory tower, the executive department is a cold-blooded and violent organization.

Hunt down and deal with dangerous/fallen hybrids, recover alchemy items, track down the place where dragons sleep, and monitor the resurrection of dragons...

Most of the commissioners in the execution department are performing these high-risk tasks. If they are not careful, they will die, and they cannot even guarantee whether their bodies can be sent back to their hometown intact.

For example, the protagonist in the bloody scene in the women’s restroom on the fifth floor——

"Commissioner 'B' of the Executive Department, Simons Les, bloodline level B... has died."

The man in black next to Minister von Schneider whispered, trying hard to suppress the anger in his heart.

The walls and floor at the end of the women's restroom were scarlet and dazzling as if they had been washed by blood, as if they had become a slaughterhouse.

At the center of Schneider's gaze, a mutilated, headless corpse was nailed to the wall with dozens of sharp knives.

Above the broken part of the corpse's neck, on the handle of a sharp knife, a blood-stained half-decayed World Tree badge hung down.

The most bizarre thing is that on the walls and floors that are not contaminated by blood, there are dense and clear bloody handprints and footprints, which are about the same size as a baby's hands and feet.

"His sternum and ribs were shattered... He was hit hard when he stepped into the women's restroom, with a force equivalent to a head-on collision with a car traveling at 80 kilometers."

"But the fatal blow came from the knife that separated his head... After killing Simmons, the assailant left more than a hundred wounds on his body and nailed him to the wall."

"Where's the head?"

Schneider asked in a deep voice.

"...I found something in the toilet sewer that hadn't been flushed..."

The man in black trench coat gritted his teeth, unable to suppress the anger in his heart any longer, and shouted angrily:

"These bastards! They are declaring war on the Executive Department!"

"Avenge."

"Crady."

Schneider looked at the ceiling and whispered the two words written in blood.

"Credy...I remember him."

"The fallen hybrid who was killed before entering the S-class school."

Schneider said.
