Chapter Eleven: The Magician's Friendship

Su Ye stood up, carried the purse, nodded slightly to Kelton and walked towards the door.

Su Ye stood at the door.

"Do you need to sign the Four Gods contract this time?"

"Your inner promise is better than that of the gods." Kelton slowly took the water-filled wine, drank it lightly, squinted his eyes, and was extremely comfortable.

"See you back."

Su Ye raised his hand and stepped out of the room under the night.

Hack followed Su Ye silently.

Along the way, the waiters and old customers of Dolphin River looked at Su Ye and Hake like they saw ghosts.

How could the "wood" Hack, who did not take anyone seriously, follow Su Ye honestly? It was not a way to send guests off, but to protect Su Ye like a guard Mr. Kelton.

The busy middle-aged foreman saw Su Ye leave the door, gritted his teeth, ran out quickly, and shouted at Su Ye.

"Mr. Suye, I am Temonosgenis, the son of Peristera. Welcome to you next time."

Su Ye smiled slightly, and it seemed that this person was very smart. From the beginning, he realized that he had forgotten his name.

But what is his name? What kind of forest or pigeon? Goodbye!

Ninth Street at night is much dimmer than during the day, and the sparse lights can barely see the road surface.

Only then did he understand why the pedestrians on the road were steadily walking.

Afraid of hurting your feet and stepping on shit.

Su Ye's steps are very slow.

Huck followed closely behind.

When he arrived at the intersection of Ninth Street, Su Ye saw some people wearing shorts and leather armor, and stopped.

Su Ye knew that the barbarians in northern Greece were wearing pants during this period, but he did not expect that even Athenian soldiers have changed to pants. This means that the depth and breadth of cultural civilization exchanges in this world are far beyond the ancient Greece in the history of Blue Star, and the emergence of tea proves this.

These people were chatting with short swords around their waists. They were not old and even had two teenagers in their seventies or eighteen years.

Su Ye turned around and asked, "Mr. Hack, these city guard soldiers should be willing to help you."

Hack stared at Su Ye's face for a few seconds and nodded.

Su Ye smiled and said, "Are you willing to help me find two people, follow me behind, and come forward at the right time... to perform your duties."

Su Ye made the last phrase very strong.

Hack stared at Su Ye for a while before slowly saying, "Are you planning to plot against me?"

His voice was hissing, as if there was a crack in his throat.

"It's not a calculating, I'm asking for help." Su Ye said frankly.

"The friendship of the magician?" Huck asked expressionlessly.

Su Ye couldn't help laughing and said, "It's said that Mr. Hack is not good at speaking, but I didn't expect that your level of sarcasm is so high. Yes, for you, I can only show the friendship of future magicians."

"Remember this night."

After Hack finished speaking, he walked towards the city guard soldiers.

The moment Hack finished speaking, Su Ye saw a complicated look in Hack's eyes.

Su Ye looked at Hake's back and sighed softly.

When the soldiers saw Huck, they stood up straight as if they had met the commander. Several of them even had glory in their faces, as if they had seen a hero.

Su Ye looked at them, and after a while, the few people started arguing. Finally, the two left the list, and the rest looked disappointed.

Hack pointed at Su Ye and spoke to those people. Su Ye nodded slightly to the soldiers, and the soldiers immediately nodded to signal.

After a while, Hake returned and stood behind Su Ye without saying a word.

"Thanks Mr. Hack."

After Su Ye finished speaking, he handed Hake two purses without hesitation, with only one left in his hand.

Hack looked at the wallet, then looked at Su Ye, took the wallet, hung it on both sides of the waist, and would not be seen by the people in front of him.

Su Ye stepped forward, Hack followed closely behind, and two young city guard soldiers followed from a distance, with a little excited expression.

Su Ye looked for an opportunity to take a look behind him, and only one person was left behind him, and the other was missing.

Athens is much quieter at night than during the day, especially after entering the slums, those who are reluctant to light the lights are either asleep or chatting with their neighbors outside the door.

The Mediterranean climate is warm in winter and cool in summer. Even if you walk barefoot on the ground, Su Ye doesn't feel cold.

Su Ye was inquiring and moving forward. Before he knew it, a group of men appeared behind him.

No one wore long robes, and even short robes were few. Most people had a piece of rag tied around their waists, and a few even followed the crowd naked.

Everyone's feet were covered with thick mud, some were until their calves.

The first time they saw a boy was swaying in his purse with his swaggering look for Lawvens.

In the slums, Ravens was not the most powerful, but one of the most famous people.

Some people looked at Su Ye's back with a smile, while some people looked at Su Ye and Hack's wallet greedily. Only a few people who knew Hack quietly looked forward to the show.

The two city guard soldiers were behind the crowd.

After stepping on many stones and mud pits, Su Ye finally arrived at a street intersection and stopped in front of a tavern.

The night is dark.

There was a rusty bronze blunt knife hanging at the entrance of the tavern, with two palms wide.

No plaque.

Everyone knows that this is the Blunt Knife Tavern.

The number of people following Su Ye was actually over forty, and more and more people nearby were attracted by the crowd and lights, and moved closer to this place.

Just a few seconds later, cheers came from the tavern, and rhythmic roars came.

Just like a crew member shouting inspiring horns before the battle.

Su Ye's thumb and index finger moved slightly, and he was about to conduct the third collision today, but he stopped.

Even without lightly hitting his fingers, he slowly straightened his chest, raised his head, stretched his shoulders slightly back, relaxed his arms, and a confident smile appeared on his face.

The door opened, and two strong men who had been to Su Ye’s family walked out, holding an oil lamp in their hands, looked at Su Ye contemptuously, and then made a gesture of inviting them to the door.

In the tavern, the torches were bright. Amid the fire, Lawvens, wearing a brown and scoundrel robe, walked out and walked two meters away from Su Ye.

As the wind blew, the moonlight and the fire swayed, and the "centipede" on Lawvens' face slowly squirmed.

Several people in the crowd shouted softly and hurriedly retreated.

Lawvens' eyes were colder than during the day.

Under the fire behind him, pairs of crazy eyes plowed Su Ye's body, but they all cleverly avoided Hak.

The honest-looking Koro hid in the crowd, secretly looked at Su Ye, and a look of doubt appeared on his face.

Ravens did not look at Su Ye, but stared at Hack.

Huck was still like dead wood, quietly looking at Lawvins.

"In front of the Blunt Knife Tavern, there are only enemies or friends." Lawvens's voice was particularly peaceful.

Among the crowd behind Su Ye, a few people turned around and ran away, stepping barefoot in the mud and water making a crackling sound.

Hack said nothing.

"Give me the loan." Su Ye shook the gold coin bag in his hand, calming down.

Lawvens looked at Su Ye, his mouth moved slightly, and the scars on his face quickly squirmed again.

A few people who had seen Su Ye carefully observed during the day. There were wounds on their necks, blood stasis, and stains on their bodies. Yes, it was still Su Ye, but why did he feel that he was not alone at all?

Lawvins suddenly smiled softly, his eyes fell on Su Ye's blood-blocked neck and said, "Is the donkey here?"

"Ha ha ha ha……"

Everyone behind Lawvens burst into laughter and almost overturned the roof of the Blunt Knife Tavern.
