Chapter 7 Trapped Beasts Still Fighting

No matter how Boluo hates Xie Sanbin to his bones, the current situation is very passive to Boluo. The most passive problem is the lack of troops.

Originally, for Boluo, which had a 40,000 army, there was no shortage of troops at all, but now there are 5,000 soldiers and horses from Haning and Tian Xiong on the south bank of Qiantang River. It took another 5,000 troops from Jiaxing and Huzhou to recover the two groups of people from Jiaxing and Huzhou. The 40,000 troops turned into 30,000 troops, and there were rebels who raised anti-flags everywhere outside Hangzhou.

If only these "rebels" were not a big problem, but among these "rebels", there were actually elite troops sent by Duke Liu Yongxi of Yue. Sometimes several camps suddenly came out, which made the Qing army feel particularly difficult to deal with. After suffering several losses, the Qing army had strictly ordered less than 100 people not to go out of the city without authorization.

And in Yuhang County, dozens of miles away from Hangzhou City, such a good show was being staged. Niu Lue Zhensu and Tai were furious: "These Han people are too sinister, I have to slaughter Yuhang!"

The Han guerrillas around Su Hetai reminded the Manchu nobleman: "Sir, you still have to be careful of the ambush of the Ming Kingdom!"

Su Hetai didn't believe in this evil: "Ming's ambush? No matter how many ambushes there are in the Ming Dynasty, it would be easy for you and me to join forces? Besides, if Yuhang cannot be defended, our Qing Dynasty should retreat to the outside of the pass as soon as possible!"

Although Yuhang and Xiaoshan are now full of war, Yuhang and Xiaoshan can be said to be the two county towns closest to Hangzhou, Manchu nobles, including Boluo, believe that they can definitely defend these two county towns. Moreover, Xiaoshan County belongs to Shaoxing Prefecture, while Yuhang County is the closest county town in Hangzhou Prefecture.

Su Hetai felt that Deqing and Changhua might not be able to defend, but if Yuhang could not defend the Qing army in Boluo would be in a great crisis. Hearing Su Hetai say this, guerrilla Zheng Changhe was relieved: "This is true, just because of the hundreds of people Yao Zhizhuo, how could it be the opponent of my Qing Dynasty!"

The enemy they faced was the troops of Yao Zhizhuo, the rebel army that had just risen recently. Although Yao Zhizhuo's troops were particularly cunning, insidious and difficult to deal with among the various rebel armies, Yao Zhizhuo was only three or four hundred new soldiers, relying on various tricks to deal with Su Hetai. However, Su Hetai and Zheng Changhe had six or seven hundred elite Qing troops, including nearly a hundred Eight Banners soldiers.

After receiving Zheng Changhe's support, Su Hetai made up his mind to act recklessly: "Just say this, let's rush forward and kill Yao Zhizhuo in a piece of armor!"

In Su Hetai's imagination, Yao Zhizhuo's new recruits relied on various tricks to fight against him. As long as he rushed at any cost, he could all eliminate Yao Zhizhuo and other unrest parties. Although the development of the matter was as Su Hetai expected, the situation soon broke out.

When the elite Eight Banners under Yao Zhizhuo saw the elite Eight Banners team running into the mountains in a hurry, Su Hetai and Zheng Changhe were chasing all the way, and when the surrounding gangs suddenly came out, the Qing army suffered a lot of losses in the rain of guns and arrows. Zheng Changhe couldn't help but scream: "Brothers, the brave ones will win when they meet on a narrow road. Let these gangsters see how powerful we are!"

However, after one round, Zheng Changhe and Su Hetai realized that the enemy they faced were definitely not a gangster, and they were even more difficult to deal with than the thief Li Zicheng they had dealt with. No matter which direction they rushed, they would suffer several times the siege of the enemy. Moreover, these enemy troops were fully equipped and even had a horse team, and their combat effectiveness was still above the regular army of the Ming Dynasty.

Su Hetai immediately recognized these enemy troops: "It is the Jinhua thief Duke Yue, the Jinhua thief Duke Yue, Yao Zhizhuo, if you collude with the Jinhua thief, you will die without a place to bury!"

But now it is not Yao Zhizhuo who is in danger of death but Zheng Changhe. There are more and more Ming troops from all directions. No matter where the Qing army retreats, there are the Ming troops flocking in.

Su Hetai and Zheng Changhe became more and more frightened. Although Su Hetai rushed for a few times, his horse was shot in the first round, and he almost died when he was shot in the second charge.

He soon realized a fatal problem, that is, the Tu bandits near Hangzhou and the Jinhua bandits had completely merged: "Retreat quickly, retreat quickly, we must tell General Boluo to be careful!"

He changed another war horse and rushed back with the Eight Banners soldiers. He repelled Yao Zhizhuo's charge, and took this opportunity to take Zheng Changhe to retreat south: "Retreat quickly, retreat quickly! Let's retreat quickly!"

When they retreated outside Hangzhou, they found that they and Zheng Changhe had brought out more than 700 Qing troops, now there were less than 300 left. In particular, the nearly 100 Eight Banners soldiers under Su Hetai lost two-thirds, and they were all permanent losses. Su Hetai couldn't help crying: "Since the Southern Expedition, there has been no such defeat!"

However, such defeats were one after another in the north of Qiantang River. In another time and space, the Qing army spent a lot of effort to wipe out these so-called "domestic bandits". What's more, now the "Jinhua thieves" and "domestic bandits" joined forces to repeatedly damage small Qing troops.

Although these battles are not too large, at most, they are at a 1,000-level duel. The Qing army suffered at most only more than four or five hundred people from Su Hetai this time, but the accumulated losses have made Boro furious. Moreover, the several troops crossing the river north were not only trained in the battle, but also had good development momentum.

In this northern expedition, except for the 10,000 troops led by Liu Yongxi, the rest of the other side divisions were not satisfied. Wang Sunfan had only two thousand people in the fifth battalion in Jiangxi, not to mention the remaining side divisions, each battalion often had only 350 or 60 or even less than 300. However, after combining with the rebel army, almost every battalion has been restored to the establishment of 500 people and one battalion, and some of them have even been over-staffed.

It was also the full support of the Jiangbei troops that allowed Liu Yongxi to deal with Tian Xiong and Haning's troops who were fighting against the enemy without any scruples. Yu Huang, who is now in charge of the army, felt that he was sure to win: "Duke Yue, as long as he wiped out all these five thousand Jianlu, the royal army can cross the river northward to regain Hangzhou!"

Although Yu Huang had a past of "eunuch party", his loyalty to the Ming Dynasty was fine, but Liu Yongxi laughed: "Things are not that simple, trapped beasts are still fighting, let alone Jianlu!"

After the Jiangbei troops combined with the Yi Division, they often adopted the tactic of encircling and annihilation of small Qing troops with concentrated superior forces. Liu Yongxi also used his military advantage to the limit in Jiangnan and continued to siege with absolute advantage. Although the Qing army still had 4,000 people, the more they fought, they became more passive and were about to be driven off the Qiantang River.
