Chapter 136: The Return of Bilbo

The woman Frodo was looking at was the elves who were rarely destined to be seen by mortals: Arwen, the daughter of Ailon. As Ailon's descendant, she undoubtedly inherited her father's outstanding appearance. It was her pure and innocent kind character and appearance that the elves regarded her as everyone's dusk star, meaning pure and innocent.

At the same time, Arwen's two brothers, Elidan and Irohe, were outside performing the mission given to them by their father Ailon. They rode side by side with the Northern Rangers, hunting evil, and never dared to forget the torture his mother had suffered at the hands of the orcs.

Frodo had never seen it, nor had he ever thought that there would be such beautiful creatures in the world; and when he saw that he had a place on Eron's main table, he was even more flattered.

At this moment, sitting on the feather cushion specially prepared by the elves in advance for VIPs like Frodo, Frodo looked around curiously like Liu Laolao who had entered the Grand View Garden for the first time. At the same time, the excessive amount of food and clothing and other great figures that could only be heard in the legend appeared in front of him so directly, which shocked him.

The guests and hosts of this banquet were having fun, and the wine and food placed on the table also made these guests who were used to eating ordinary food in the past even more amazed by the special food made by the elves. As a hobbit, Frodo naturally sat casually in his seat and ate special food until his belly was full. Only then did he raise his head and continue to watch the banquet around him.

At this moment, on his right was a dwarf elder who was dressed in luxury but not brave and tough. The other party had a long white beard, almost as white as the snow-white top he was wearing. The decorative belt made of sterling silver and the gold brooch on the robe all showed the dwarf's strong financial resources and origin. Frodo stopped chewing and looked at him in a daze.

"Welcome! Lucky!" The dwarf turned to him and said. He even stood up from his seat and bowed to him: "Groyin is waiting for the Lord to send." His bow was deeper.

"Frodo Baggins, I am willing to serve you!" Hearing the other party's own report, Frodo suddenly raised his head and asked, "Are you the Lord Groyin, one of the twelve companions of the great Thorin-Oak Shield?"

"Yes, it's me. I think there is no dwarf in this world who dares to take huge risks to pretend to me, except myself, right?" The dwarf patted Frodo's shoulder kindly and kindly helped Frodo back to his seat. "I'm glad to see you with my own eyes, Mr. Frodo. After seeing you, I don't have to ask too much about what to say. I only know that you are the junior of my good friend Bilbo Baggins in this life!"

"Thank you, it's my honor to hear you say this." Frodo said.

"I heard you have experienced a lot of adventures," Groyin said. "I don't know why the four Hobbits came here all the way? Oh my God, so many years have passed, and besides Bilbo, an alternative person in the Hobbit, I haven't seen so many Hobbits come out in groups to take risks in a long time. I tried to ask Eron and Gandalf, but neither of them wanted to tell me, maybe, shouldn't I ask this question?"

"I think it's better for us to not talk about this now. Gandalf warned me not to tell these secrets in public." Frodo said politely. As Gandalf said before, even if he was on the territory of Lord Eron, he tried not to mention the existence of the Lord of the Ring and related topics at will. "But I am also curious," he added: "What kind of thing has caused you, a dwarf of high status, to come here from Lone Mountain."

Groyin looked at him. "Ah, it seems that you don't know what happened, Mr. Frodo. Well, maybe these things shouldn't be told by me. I believe that Lord Eron will summon all of us in the near future, and you will figure it out by then. But, besides these troubles, let's talk about other happy topics!"

During the next meal, the two of them kept talking. Because most of his secrets were related to the Lord of the Ring that could not be said, he played the role of the listener in this conversation. In contrast, Groyin had a lot of news about the north of the wasteland that could be told.

He knew from Groyin that now Biwen's son and elder Yubiwen have become the leaders of many human beings. These brave skin-changing people cooperate sincerely with the human inhabitants living in the forest. The evil creatures like orcs on their territory have long been driven out by them.

"That's right," said Groyin: "If it weren't for the people of the Bion clan, the territory between the valley and Rivendell would have been annexed by evil forces. They fought to keep the mountain passes and the Karlock Ferry open, but they also paid a great price," he shook his head and said, "Maybe their impression of the dwarves is still as ordinary as before, but as long as they fight against the evil servants of the orcs together, they will be our friends and potential allies. The humans in the valley are the kindest tribes of us. The Bad tribe are really good people, and the grandson of the sharpshooter Bad is still their leader, Brand is the son of Bad's son Bad, a king who is good at leading and governing. Their boundaries are now far to the extreme south and extreme east of Escar."

"Where are your own compatriots?" Frodo said.

"There are a lot to say, and in general, news is good and bad." Groyin said: "But most of them are still good news: So far, we are still lucky that our dwarf kingdom has never stopped progressing and developing. Even if there may be various internal and external sufferings on the way, we have defeated them. In this not-so-optimistic era, as long as it is still getting better, there is hope, right?"

So, Groyn began to elaborate on the customs and customs of the entire dwarf kingdom. He was very happy to meet such a polite listener; because he was very interested in the development history of the dwarfs over the past few decades, Frodo had always maintained a very high temperament and listened to a story. In fact, he was very interested in the news that Dan was the king of the dwarf kingdom at the foot of the mountain. Dan was now old and unimaginable. Among the ten teams who survived by luck from the fierce battle of the Five Armies, seven team members were still built: Devalin, Groyn, Doli, Noli, Beeffer, Pofor, Pombo, and Pombo, and Pombo were so fat that they could no longer walk from the living room to the dining room. Just to lift him up, he had to ask the six young dwarves to do their best.

"What about Bahrain, Ore and Ore?" Frodo asked.

A shadow flashed across Groyin's face. "We are not sure," he replied: "I will come here to seek assistance from the residents of Rivendale. It is because of the experience of Bahrain. Let's not talk about this tonight!"

Groyin continued to describe the great achievements of his fellow countrymen, allowing Frodo to know how hard they had done in the valleys and in the mountains. "We performed very well," he said with a slutty mouth. "But in metallurgy we are not as good as the achievements of our ancestors, and many secrets have been lost. We can build strong armor and sharp swords, but we may never be able to reproduce the advanced forging levels that our ancestors could achieve before Smaug and other evil dragons invaded. Of course, we are not lazy people who are sitting in the empty vegetation. Over the years, we have reopened many underground mines, and countless ores and gems have enriched our treasure house with the excavation of our mines."

"If I could, I would definitely go and see it," Frodo said astonished: "Bilbo would definitely be surprised if he could see the thriving scene after the evil dragon Smaug destroyed everything!"

Groyin looked at Frodo and smiled, "You really miss Bilbo, right?"

"Yes," Frodo replied: "I would rather give up all the gold, silver, treasures and other possessions I have, as long as I can see Bilbo again."

After a long time, the banquet finally came to an end. Alon and Arwen stood up and left the hall, and the others followed in an orderly manner. The door opened, and everyone followed the wide corridor to another larger hall. There was no table here, only a fireplace with a blazing fire between the pillars on both sides.

Gandalf, who had left the banquet before, was sitting by the fireplace smoking a pipe. "This is the fire hall," said the wizard. "If you cheer up, you should be able to hear many songs and stories. As you can see, there are not many people here, and even the elves will not break in at will, so this is a good place to enjoy the purity."

As Elron walked towards the seats prepared for him in the hall, the elf musicians began to play sweet music. The crowd slowly entered the hall, and Frodo looked at many beautiful faces with joy; the golden flames flashed slightly on their faces and hair. Suddenly, he noticed that not far from the opposite fireplace, a small black figure sat on a stool against the pillar. He was standing at his feet with a cup of water and some bread. Frodo thought he was sick at first, so he did not attend the banquet. His head seemed to be close to his chest, and was in a state of sleep, and his face was blocked by the shadow of the cloak.

Aaron walked forward and stood beside the silent figure. "Hello, wake up, my VIP!" he said with a smile. Then he turned around and gestured to Frodo. "Frodo, have you always hoped that this moment will come? Come and see it yourself!" He said, "This is the friend you miss."

The figure raised his head and pushed away his hood.

"Bilbo!" Frodo had to read and think about it more, and immediately recognized that the person in front of him was Bilbo Baggins.

"Long time no see, Frodo! You have grown taller than I think and have gained weight!" Bilbo said, "You finally arrived here. I am so happy to see you arrive safely. I heard Gandalf tell you what you encountered along the way. I can only say that you did a great job on the way, and I am proud of you! How was the banquet tonight? Are you still happy to have fun?"

"Tonight's dinner is pretty good, but why didn't you attend?" Frodo shouted: "Also, I haven't met you before!"

"It's all because you're asleep. I've visited you many times! I'll sit by your side with Sam every day and watch you. As for not attending the banquet, the reason is even simpler. Since I left Charles, I've been reluctant to join in the fun and attending the banquet. I have more meaningful and important things to do."

"What are you busy with?"

"Can't you see it? I'm sitting here thinking! I do this all these days, and this is the best place to do this. How could anyone wake me up?" He glanced at Ailon with his eyes squinted.

Frodo looked at the pair of Bilbo, whose eyes were shining in front of him, and could tell that he was in good condition. "Wake up? Lord Elron, I didn't fall asleep. In fact, your banquet ended too quickly, which just interrupted my inspiration for writing poetry. Although there were some regrets, there were not so many good things in the world that suited people's wishes, right? Forget it, let's talk about poetry later."

Elron laughed. "I'll find him right away," he said. "You two will find a quiet corner to continue working. Before we finish drinking and having fun, we hope to judge the hard work of you and the two of you." Soon, Elron sent a messenger to find Bilbo's friends. Frodo felt that Elron was the most generous wise among the elves. Elron would always lend a helping hand in time for his needs.

At the same moment, Bilbo sat next to Frodo, and Sam quickly sat down near them. They whispered under the wonderful music in the hall. Bilbo did not mention much about himself. When he left Shire, he initially wandered aimlessly and looked around along the avenue, but he did not come straight to Rivendale at the first time.
