Chapter 134: Gandalf
When Frodo woke up, he found himself lying on the bed. When he woke up in a hurry, his mind was full of thoughts, and even when he looked at the surrounding scenery, he was full of doubts and confusion. After forcing himself to observe the surroundings, he realized that he was now in a room with strange decorations, with several oil paintings with very beautiful paintings bound on the pillars and walls in the room. Just seeing these paintings, Frodo was in a very happy mood, which reminded him of the unique story of the elves paintings Frodo told him in his childhood that he brought power to people.
"Frodo, you finally woke up. It's really nice to see you again!"
"Where am I? When is it now?" Frodo asked directly.
"You are in Alon's house, it's ten o'clock in the morning," said a voice. "As for other detailed situations, I'll tell you slowly in the next few days."
"Gandalff!" Hearing the familiar voice, Frodo stood up half of his body from the bed happily. As soon as he got together, he saw Gandalf, the knowledgeable and wise gray-robed wizard sitting beside the bed and looking at him with a smile.
"Yes," Gandalf's face was now smiling with satisfaction. "It's me. Although I have to say that you have done a lot of stupid things since you left Charles, even so, your performance on the road is still very proud of me."
Frodo lay down again. He was so comfortable that he didn't want to argue with others, and he really didn't think he could win this time. He was now completely awake, and all the adventures of the past period returned to his mind: the deadly "shortcut" in the old forest, the "accident" of the Yuema Hotel, and his crazy behavior of wearing the Lord of the Ring on the top of the storm.
The good and stupid things he had done in the past few dozen days surged into his mind with memories, and Frodo's mood became a little complicated with these. Seeing that he was trapped in memories, Gandalf did not disturb him too much, and instead smoked his pipe silently.
"Where are the others who are walking with me? I remember they were not far from me when they were draining the river, Sam, Merry, Pipin, Goddess Traveler." Finally, Frodo finally asked, "Are they all okay?"
"Of course, don't worry, everyone has arrived at Rivendell safely." Gandalf replied: "Sam has just been here to guard you. I saw that he was almost exhausted because of the long wait, so he urged him to rest."
"What happened over the ferry?" Frodo asked, "Everything is unclear, and I'm still confused."
"It is very normal for you to not know what happened at that time. When I saw you, your soul was already almost dry. It was a very dangerous state." Gandalf replied: "When I found you from the surging torrent, you were already unconscious. The situation was very bad at that time. Maybe a few hours later, even Eron could not save you. Fortunately, we found you in time and escorted you into a safe place, which is here - Eron's territory, the valley."
"I have to say that you know more than I thought. But the question is, Gandalf, how did you find so many hidden things?" Frodo said: "I have never told anyone about the ancient tomb story. You must know that we have never met since the last time we parted! Could you tell me that there are any other words or magic that will be explored on us?"
"Oh, this is not as complicated as you think. In fact, the principle is very simple. Frodo, you are not idle in your mouth when you are unconscious!" Gandalf said gently: "It is not difficult for me to read your memories and thoughts. Don't worry! As for the stupid things you have done in the past few dozen days, you don't have to keep them in your heart. That's just a little joke. To be honest, I'm very proud of you. As a hobbit, you can have the courage to face a strong enemy but never give up at all, and the urgent wisdom that suddenly appeared at several thrilling critical moments. Until now, when you encounter those evil and difficult enemies, you can still protect the Lord of the Ring well, and you have never taken the enemy away. In this regard, you are almost stronger and reliable than most I have seen in my life!"
"It wouldn't be possible without God's travelers," Frodo said. "But I think the most important thing in the past few days is that we cannot be without you, Gandalf, we need a reliable wise man like you to lead us. Just as Bilbo and others years ago, we want to walk with you!"
"Of course, I should have embarked on this journey with you. But I was delayed," said Gandalf. "Although everyone is safe and things are going well, it's hard to say."
"Can you tell me what happened after I fell into a coma?"
"Ah, don't worry, you will know it naturally when the time comes! This is Elon's order, you shouldn't know or worry about anything today."
"But the conversation can prevent me from thinking about it anymore, which is very tiring," Frodo said. "I'm awake and there are many things that need to be explained to me. Why are you delaying? At least you should tell me this."
"You will know all this at that time," Gandalf said. "We will have a meeting when you are in good health. At present, I can only tell you that someone was imprisoned at that time."
"Imprison you?" Frodo was shocked.
"Yes, I, Gandalf of the Gray Robe," said the wizard with a serious expression: "There are many good and evil forces in this world, some of which are stronger than me, and some have not yet faced me head-on, but the time is coming. The King of the Demon Caves and his Black Knights have all been launched, and a war is imminent!"
"Then you knew that these black knights were there before I met them?"
"Yes, I do know them, and I have mentioned them to you. The Black Knight is the Ring Spirit, the nine servants of the King of the Rings. This time, with Aragorn taking action, we will not lose everything."
"Yes," Frodo said, "It was the traveler who saved us. But I was afraid of him at first, and Sam didn't trust him very much. I think it might not be eliminated until he met Grofindale."
Gandalf smiled. "I've heard a lot about Sam," he said. "He has no doubts anymore."
"I'm so happy," Frodo said, "because I've started to fall in love with Gods. Well, I like the adjective that is not the right one. I mean he is very important to me, very kind, although he sometimes has a strange appearance and likes to have a stern face. In fact, he often reminds me of you. I never knew there were such people among humans before. I always thought they were just big and stupid, like Butterboy, a bad guy, or as stupid and bad as Bill. But what qualifications do I have to criticize humans? Charles has no humans at all, only Buli has barely half of the human inhabitants."
"If you think Old Baalman is stupid, then you don't know enough even the residents of Blis." Gandalf said: "He is very wise in his unique field. He speaks more and thinks less and slowly; but as long as he is given time, he can see through a brick wall. However, I must admit that there are not many people in Middle-earth like Aragorn, the son of Arathon. The Western royal bloodline that came across the sea is almost over, and this battle of the Lord of the Rings may be their last adventure."
"By the way, I have a question, God Walker, is he really a descendant of the Western royal family as he said?" Frodo said in disbelief:
"Yes, there is no problem with Aragorn's words about this. He is a real descendant of the Western royal family. When I first met him and had a good relationship with him, I almost missed his identity. At that time, I thought he was just a brave and upholding his kindness."
"Maybe Aragorn is just a ranger at the moment!" Gandalf said: "But I believe he will not stop here in the future. Without their help, I would have been unable to speak to you here. Even if time goes back to ancient times, I might still need their help to fight evil. We are in Rivendell at this moment, and the problem of the Lord of the Rings needs to be solved."
"I think so," Frodo said, "but so far I have only the thought of how to get here. Since embarking on this long and almost endless journey, I realized how wonderful and precious ordinary life that is not rushing in the wilderness is. Oh my God, if possible, I really want to rest here, and maybe I won't get tired of it."
He fell silent and closed his eyes. Not long after, he spoke again. "I was counting the time just now," he said, "No matter how you count, it won't be No. 24. Today should be No. 21. We probably arrived at the ferry on No. 20."
"The injuries on your body have not been completely healed. Don't think about these complicated things. Before you recover, let's worry about those important things." Gandalf said: "How do you feel on your shoulders and side?"
"I'm not sure," Frodo replied, "Maybe my arm is still as bad as before, but with you by my side, it seems that I don't feel that bad again." He struggled for a moment: "I can move my arm a little more. Apart from some simple movements, maybe this is not a particularly big improvement or improvement." He said with his right hand touching his left hand.
"Great!" said Gandalf. "You are so well that you should be fully recovered soon. Alon has healed you, and since you were sent in, he has been healing your wounds endlessly."
"Sleepless?" Frodo asked in disbelief.
"Strictly speaking, it should be four days and three nights. The elves rescued you from the ferry on the night of the 20th, and you lost consciousness there. Your companions were almost worried about your safety. They have been taking turns to protect you these days. Aaron is a doctor with unique skills, but the weapons of the Demon King are not something that ordinary doctors can do. Fortunately, Aaron is not a super high doctor that ordinary doctors can reach. Until yesterday, Aaron found the broken blade fragment and drilled into the depths of your flesh, and took it out through magical elves' medicine."
Frodo shivered, and then he remembered that there was a gap in the blade picked up by the God Walker. "Don't worry!" Gandalf said: "Maybe we all need to thank the Hobbits for their tenacious spirit and body. The blade of the Demon King is almost like a terrible death talisman for ordinary people, but it has not been too deep on you. You have withstood the enemy's blade for a full 17 days, which is almost an irrepeatable miracle."
"How were they going to deal with me?" Frodo asked, "What did the knights want to do?"
"They originally wanted to pierce your heart with the weapons of the Demon Cave, so that we will not be able to take out the broken sword blade anyway. After all, such a rash rescue may lead to your direct death. If they succeed, you will become like them. As a puppet of the Lord of the Rings, you will be constantly tortured by the Demon King and walk around the world as his puppet."
"It's so scary!" Frodo said weakly: "As for this, I'm so lucky that I just missed the enemy's conspiracy!"
"Yes, fate is indeed on your side," Gandalf said. "Courage is also your weapon. When you wear the ring to face those ring spirits, it is almost the most dangerous moment for you. If you didn't muster up the courage to draw your sword to fight, maybe we wouldn't have seen you jumping around. In the final analysis, it's your own courage that saved you."
"I know," Frodo said, "they look so hideous! The question is, since their faces are in chaos in front of us and cannot be seen clearly, why can we directly see their mounts?"
"Because that is a real horse, the reason they configured equipment like this is entirely because the inner nothingness of the ring spirits can communicate with living people through this body."
"How can these horses endure this kind of knight? I remember that all normal creatures will make terrifying neigh when they encounter them. Even Grofindale's elf horse is no exception. This makes no sense!"
"Because these horses were tamed from birth to serve the Dark Demon Lord of Mordor. Not only that, the Demon Lord's subordinates are far more than these evil servants, orcs, wolfs, humans who succumb to evil desires and dark powers, and individual elements of other races have joined Mordor's camp. Although it sounds very dark, it is indeed the case."
"Where is Rivendell and the Elf? Is Rivendell safe?"
