chapter.57 Secret Study(2/2)

"Whose new girlfriend is this?"

Danitaly didn't reply, she just pinched her brows and shook her head helplessly.

"Don't talk nonsense. We are just friends. We just met not long ago."

"Oh, I just met a friend." The man understood: it would take some time to develop into the kind of relationship he wanted.

"Don't you invite us to come in and sit and talk?" Seeing Alice approaching, Danitaly naturally changed the topic and at the same time cast a vague glance from the entrance to the living room.

The young man seemed a little embarrassed and made an ungentlemanly gesture of rubbing his hands.

"Ahem... let's go to the study room, the living room... I haven't tidied the living room for a long time."

Not wanting the two ladies to see the miserable scene in the living room where wealthy young men live alone, the man who is the owner of the house led the guests upstairs, and his leather shoes made a slight crunching sound on the stairs.

"I said, it's not like you don't have money. Just hire a maid who comes to clean the house regularly. There's no need to waste your time cleaning the house." Danitaly knew this would be the case, after all, she had done it several times before.

Visits to this friend's home also went through the same process.

"That won't work! Those stupid country bumpkins can't understand my great research at all, and they often regard the manuscripts I have painstakingly compiled as waste paper and throw them away at will!" Anri said firmly, shaking his head.

Danitaly's response seemed a few beats slow:

"You are still conducting that research...well, I have to say, your persistence and perseverance are admirable."

Until she entered the study, Alice, who was just quietly listening to the conversation between the two, cast her gaze towards the surrounding walls, and her eyes couldn't help but pause on the papers filled with twisted characters.

What the owner of the house was referring to by researching became clear to her as she gradually recognized these seemingly familiar and yet unfamiliar words, and after she quietly cast a spell on herself to understand the words.

"Of course, the manuscript left by Emperor Russell is so mysterious. I think these special symbols, or words, must hide some secrets! Even some kind of wonderful power that we have not yet discovered!"
