chapter.29 The witch at the dinner party(1/2)

Just when Klein was feeling dizzy, Alice seemed to remember something and suddenly laughed lightly:

"Oh, I seem to have forgotten to suppress the charming side effect. You must hold on, dear~"

"you……!"

Klein felt the temperature on his face suddenly rise. He didn't know whether it was because he believed her previous half-truth and half-false claims about love tokens, or he was embarrassed that her uncontrollable demonic charm had bewitched him, or maybe he should blame that person.

An intimate form of address with a rising final sound.

In desperation, he had no choice but to recite the activating syllables that turned on the leaf-shaped earrings - speaking of which, it doesn't seem good to always call this thing "earrings", and the original name is indeed too long to be remembered, so he might as well give it a name...

...Well, let’s call it “Breath of Mind”.

With this thought in mind, after Klein felt the obvious awakening effect, he took advantage of the convenience of telepathic communication and "asked" Alice in his mind:

"Have you controlled that charm ability now? I don't want to be tricked like those people just now! That's too stupid!"

"Well, the Breath of Mind earrings...the name is not bad."

Alice nodded first, mentioned the name that first came to his mind, and then leaned into his arms with a smile on her face.

"Okay, don't be so nervous. I've...well, I've got it under control. I won't be as exaggerated as before."

Klein was still stiff. After turning off the activated breath of mind, he almost half hugged his soft and petite body, and walked hand and foot into the lounge where she pointed out the direction before.

"Then...what." He heard himself suggesting, seemingly calmly, "There's no one else here now. You...don't have to be so dedicated to acting, right?"

With the considerate and gentle support of the man beside her, Alice sat down half-relying on the crimson leather sofa in the lounge.

During this period, she never let go of Klein's hand, just kicked off her high-heeled dress shoes, turned sideways and lay half-ly on the long double sofa, and smiled with a slightly blurred look in her eyes.

"don't want."

...No? Klein didn't react for a moment. He frowned and began to think hard about what she meant.

"It's not acting...well, I really don't feel well right now."

She casually took off the silver-white mask, chuckled and threw it away to an unknown corner of the lounge.

When Klein looked at the girl in front of him, his heart skipped a beat, and some extremely bad premonition gradually emerged.

This, could it be that she is still...the ones that were added to the wine...?

"Well - actually... I have a very poor drinking capacity. After a few sips, I will faint."

Alice sighed softly, closed her eyes in a daze, and her tone was sticky, as if she was about to fall asleep.

"If you drink more, you will... Well, I don't know if my drinking is getting better now... So, do me a favor. Help me, give me the hangover medicine..."

...Have you made a mistake, knowing that you have a low drinking capacity but still drinking? Are you just like the old smoker who knows that smoking is harmful to health and can't help but drink some?

Klein was dumbfounded and felt that the image of the girl in front of him in his heart was beginning to collapse: some mysterious and powerful astral traveler, some Oscar-winning actress with superb acting skills, some bad witch who was calm and unhurried and didn't play by the rules...

She is simply a greedy little girl who drinks and drinks again, right?

Fortunately, she knew to bring hangover medicine...

Wait, she didn't tell him where the hangover medicine was!

Klein suddenly started up and was about to shake Alice a few times to wake her up, but he stopped midway through his hand and flinched back.

Swinging shoulders... No, her dress is bare-shouldered, and it will touch that snow-white skin...

...Other parts? No, no, not even!

Slap on the face? This is good, just do it like this.

After making the decision, Klein took a breath, squatted down, and reached out to pat that rosy little face.

Just when he was about to touch the girl's delicate facial skin, those green eyes that seemed to be flowing with life opened up.

"Um...what do you want to do to me?"

Alice snorted softly in a soft nasal voice and looked at him as if reproachfully.

"The hangover potion, together with other potions, is on the strap leg ring... Well, it's the lavender bottle, don't make a mistake..."

After saying these two sentences in retrospect, she closed her eyes again due to excessive drinking and fell into a hazy state.

The lavender hangover potion is on the strap leg ring... It turns out that it is really not easy to be discovered by hiding the small bottle containing the potion under the skirt...

skirt bottom...

Klein was about to nod when he suddenly realized a certain key point, and the expression on his face instantly became awkward.

Good guy, his lifetime of fame ends here, right? Going to lift someone else's girl's skirt?

This is so scumbag... so scumbag!

Klein considers himself to be a decent person and can't bear to do such a thing.

...Okay, Klein is a decent person, Edward is not.

If he said no, then it wasn't.

"Edward" took a deep breath to calm down, then reached out to grab the skirt of the dress, which was held up by several petticoats, and slowly pulled it upwards...

Just as he was fighting with those damn petticoats, there was a sudden knock on the door.

The visitor immediately turned the doorknob and looked into the lounge in a soft voice:

"Is this Ms. Claire Sibley? Mrs. Beatrice wants to invite...ah, it seems to have disturbed your interest?"

Klein raised his head in confusion from the hell of petticoats and looked at the maid dressed as a maid by the door; little did she know that in her eyes, the sinful face that just emerged from the skirt of the dress was completely different from that of this manor.

Like most people in the world, they indulge in the short-term happiness of others' charity.

"I'll leave Mrs. Beatrice's invitation here. You two can continue..."

The maid who placed something that looked like a card on the low cabinet next to the door seemed to represent the will of the host of the banquet, Mrs. Beatrice, leaving only an intriguing and ambiguous look in the room before leaving the room.

I went and was seen...forget it, my name is "Edward" now, if I am seen, I will be seen.

Klein thought with some self-deprecation, and spent some effort to remove the leather leg ring that held multiple bottles of potion, and then quickly re-tightened the hem of the girl's dress, pretending as if nothing happened.

.

Fortunately, Alice was not completely drunk and unconscious. When Klein helped her up and tried to pour the light purple sobering potion into her mouth, she still cooperated by opening her mouth and filling the small bottle with a slight frown.

Some potions were swallowed.

Only about seven or eight seconds passed before Alice regained consciousness, the look in her eyes was no longer hazy, and her expression returned to vividness.

"It took a little time, but fortunately...well, Mrs. Beatrice's invitation has already arrived, right? Then there is no problem. As I guessed, she will not ignore people who break the rules at the dinner party.

…”

God knows how Klein forced himself not to think about those things before.

"Then...are you going over now?" He heard himself ask in a calm tone.

"Go now. What's wrong? You really want to walk in the garden with me? You'll bump into things you shouldn't see."

Alice took the card beside the door with Mrs. Beatrice's invitation written on it, and smiled and shook her head.

"Actually, I want to say..."

Meeting her smiling gaze, Klein gradually gathered his courage.

"The steaks and goose at the dinner were quite good. I plan to try the roasted leg of lamb and dessert later... Well, I mean, you can eat something and then go find the witch. Anyway, it's not bad.

It’s meal time, right?”

Klein became righteous after speaking - anyway, both of them were misunderstood like that, and it would be reasonable to go half an hour or even an hour later!

On the other hand, the delicious food in the lobby... should be taken away if we go later. Dinner time is very precious!

"By the way, please keep a low profile this time. I don't want to experience the feeling of being overwhelmed by the crowd again. My appetite has become worse..."

Thinking of his previous encounter, Klein patted his chest with lingering fear and calmed down.

Seemingly stunned for a moment, Alice sighed helplessly, but after all she did not refuse the sincere invitation from this essential foodie.

"...that's fine."

The two of them returned to the dinner hall, just like two drops of water blending into the river, without attracting the slightest attention from others.

No one ever discovered that the young man and woman who were walking around the long dinner table, enjoying all kinds of delicacies, were the central figures who caused a small commotion before. Not only did they return to the hall as if nothing had happened, they even completely

He didn't care about the discussions of the people around him. He only saw the roast chicken, roast goose, roast oysters, cakes and puddings.

"Look, I said the dinner here is good, but it's a pity that the wines are all spiked..." Otherwise, he would actually like to try those wines... After all, they are expensive drinks that he can't afford at ordinary times.

Just think of it as a taste of it and feel the taste of money.

Klein swallowed the cheesecake in his mouth and received the simple feeling of happiness from his stomach for the first time in a long time.

Alice, who doesn't have the same appetite as him, but actually took a lot of desserts, nodded slightly, finally remembering the reminder he gave her before.

"Additional ingredients? What was added to the wine?"

After listening to Klein's hesitant answer, she shook her head and smiled as if she was remembering something, her eyes curved into a crescent-like arc.
