Chapter 17 Robbed

That night, it rained. Char returned to New York again. This time he brought a bag of real human blood. Using human blood as bait, he easily caught several test subjects.

However, this time he took into account the previous situation and did not be greedy for more. He only caught three. When the time was almost up, he drove back to the base.

The time he chose was different from yesterday. Most of the vampires had gone home one after another, and there were not many vampires outside.

Even this time, Chara did not turn on the daytime driving mode, nor did she wear the same clothes.

It's a bit strange to turn on the day mode at night, and the clothes are quite eye-catching.

After getting familiar with vampires, Char knew that as long as he didn't open the window and get close to the vampires, smell his own scent, and didn't let them see his pupils, the vampires generally wouldn't notice the difference in him.

So Char only turned on the dim light inside the car. The vampires outside could at most see someone inside, but couldn't see the details. This was normal vampire behavior.

But what he never expected was that as soon as he drove the car out of the garage, he didn't go very far and before he could pick up the speed, he was robbed.

This made him very depressed. Yesterday, he was driving like a swagger and in day mode without anyone stopping him. Today, he was driving normally but he was stopped.

"Get out of the car and don't try any tricks." In front of the car, a woman held a crossbow and pointed it at the windshield. "Put your hands where I can see."

Next to her, there were three people, one of whom was supporting a woman, and the other was holding a pistol.

"I don't want to shoot, but if you don't cooperate, then I have no choice but to do this." The man holding the pistol said.

"Get out of the car, we promise not to kill you, hurry up!"

Xia Ya opened the car door and smiled helplessly, "You robbed the wrong person. Believe me, this is the worst decision you have ever made in your life."

"You dare to talk nonsense!" The man glared angrily and raised his hand to hit him.

But he felt a black shadow flash before his eyes, and the next second it flew out and hit the flowers.

The woman was shocked and immediately pulled the trigger of the crossbow.

when!

The crossbow arrow flew out. At some point, the man had a dagger in his hand, and he used the dagger to knock the crossbow arrow away.

"How is this possible?" The woman was horrified.

At such a close distance, the speed of the crossbow arrow was almost impossible to detect with the naked eye. How could he knock it away so lightly.

Could it be that vampires have evolved new abilities, and are powerful vampires able to do things beyond common sense?

Before she could think it over, Xia Ya quickly rushed in front of her and stabbed the woman's chest with the dagger.

The huge sense of crisis made the woman's body run cold and her heart beat wildly.

Just when the woman thought she was about to die, the dagger suddenly stopped above her chest, grabbed her clothes with one hand and pulled her in front of the car lights.

"Are you a human?" Xia Ya asked in surprise, looking at her brown eyes and wheat-colored skin that was obviously tanned by the sun.

He found it a bit unbelievable that he could meet humans in New York, the base camp of vampires.

"Don't even think about it..." Audrey was just about to struggle and fight to the death to pull him along so that she would never become vampire food, when she suddenly discovered that the other person also seemed to have brown eyes and did not have vampire fangs.

She opened her mouth in surprise, "You...are you also...a human being?"

At this time, the man supporting the woman came out from behind, holding a brick in his hand and smashed it hard on Xia Ya's head.

Chara grabbed the brick with her backhand and held the brick firmly in her hand. She let go of Audrey and stood up, looking at the attacking man calmly.

He grabbed the brick from the man's hand and threw it on the ground. Then he caught the man's other fist and gradually used his palms harder to force him to bend his waist and bend his legs a little, putting on a mask of pain on his face.

"Wait, wait, it's all a misunderstanding. We are all human beings. Stop fighting."

Audrey quickly stood up and grabbed their hands, trying to separate them.

Xia Ya smiled and didn't care anymore.

It was indeed a misunderstanding. Although I was threatened and attacked just now, I was angry now. There was no need to go against my mission targets.

"I didn't expect you to be human. It's a bit harsh, so don't mind."

The man waved his hands and bared his teeth. He was not convinced by Xia Ya's words, but he didn't do anything else.

Xia Ya looked at the grass and said, "Look at how your teammates are doing. My kick just now may have been a bit heavy."

Audrey and the man nodded, walked over and helped the man who had held the gun from the grass.

He must have been injured. When Xia Ya kicked him, although he didn't kill him and wanted to keep it for experiments, the force was definitely not light. It can only be said that the man was not dead.

Xia Ya looked at the girl lying on the car door again, "Are you injured?"

The girl nodded timidly and opened her mouth without making a sound.

"Hello, my name is Audrey. I'm sorry for what just happened. We thought you were a vampire, that's why we did that.

She is seriously injured, and we need to take her back to the base for treatment, but our car was destroyed because of the vampire pursuit, and now we need a car, can you help us, please."

Audrey helped the man over and asked sincerely.

"Ahem, we are the ones who are injured." The man who was kicked out by Xia Ya shouted unconvinced.

It was obvious that he was the one who was injured, and he was almost kicked to death, so why should he apologize?

"It doesn't matter, I didn't recognize you either. It was a misunderstanding. I also apologize. Everyone has exposed this matter and pretended it never happened." Xia Ya nodded.

It's a bit of a misunderstanding, just explain it clearly, it's not really intentional.

The man almost vomited blood, but of course you said it didn't matter, and you weren't hurt.

This is where the butt determines the head. Anyway, in Xia Ya's view, they attacked him first and he fought back later, which makes sense no matter what.

Even if they accidentally killed someone, they were the ones who asked for it. Now that there is a misunderstanding, it is the best outcome for everyone to just let it go.

But the man thought that he almost died, and the misunderstanding passed easily, and he felt very aggrieved.

"Let's go, get in the car. I'll take you wherever you want to go!" Xia Ya opened the car door for them. "If you have no place to go, you can go to my base. There are also doctors there, but I don't know if the medical equipment can still be used.

It’s been out of service for a long time.”

"Thank you, we have professional doctors and medicines." Audrey nodded, opened the back door and let a few people get in.

But as soon as the car door opened, they were dumbfounded. There were several people crowded in the car, and they were all lying unconscious in the back.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot that there are a few vampires behind me!" Charia suddenly realized, got out of the car, dragged a few vampires out, broke their necks and threw them into the flower bed.

Even though they also hated vampires, their hearts trembled when they saw Char breaking their necks so lightly.
