Chapter 8 Chaos and Chaos(1/2)
managua international airport
Emily Dunn and Barbara Walters looked nervously at the heavily armed soldiers around them.
"Are you sure your informant won't lie to you?"
Emily wiped the sweat from her palms and felt a little at a loss.
When war reporters go to the front line for official interviews, their outposts are usually embassies, and they are protected by the embassy in each region.
But everything has exceptions, and Emily firmly believes that the United States today does not know what happened in Nicaragua.
Because the United States is still building momentum for the government forces in northern Nicaragua!
So in order to seize this exclusive news, Emily neglected to contact the embassy in the United States. At the strong request of ABC, she took the lead in chartering a flight to Nicaragua with a team of 15 people.
Even though Dane Sawyer is her senior, this news was squeezed out by Barbara Walters, known as the "First Lady of American News"!
This strong woman who has interviewed the President of Cuba, the President of Israel, and the President of Egypt has stood up again!
"Hey! We are ABC reporters invited here. I am Barbara. I can see from your eyes that many people know me!"
"I hope you can tell us what to do next!"
Emily Dunn couldn't help but swallow when she saw the powerful Barbara. She suppressed the fear in her heart and walked forward to the concierge car not far away and shouted loudly: "Taosi! I know her."
Tao Xi! Get your people out quickly."
Barbara turned her head and glanced at Emily, a rising star in ABC, and couldn't help but nod and praise: "If your tone can be calmer, I think they will like you very much!"
"Yeah?"
"Taosi told me an hour ago that arriving in Nicaragua is like coming to his own home."
"I just don't know why I can't contact him now."
Mike Somoza looked at the listing plan of [Nicaraguan State-owned Energy Group] seriously, and the shouts coming from outside the car made him frown.
“Heisman to see who it is?”
Heisman, who was sitting in the passenger seat, looked down at his right hand, which was missing a thumb, and nodded calmly.
As soon as Heisman got out of the car, two bodyguards approached him with alert faces.
"what happens!"
"Don't you know what's going on today?"
"If you don't want to wear this military uniform, I advise you all to get out of here!"
A lieutenant came forward and replied with a serious face: "The report is from a reporter from the United States who said he was looking for Tao Xi!"
"Pa"
Heisman immediately slapped the lieutenant on the face: "It's Mr. Taosi! Do you know?"
"Yes! Mr. Taosi's American journalist friend is here. Her name is Barbara."
Heisman turned around and walked to Barbara with a respectful expression: "Hello, who is Mr. Taosi's guest? Before you came, he explained that today's [Nicaragua Peace Talks] will be broadcast online by you."
Emily Dunn let out a sigh of relief when she heard these words.
Barbara gently brushed her hair beside her ears and was secretly surprised by this informant of Emily Dunn!
Even though she has seen so many big scenes, she has never seen any unofficial American who can be so respected by a country!
"Well, yes, we accepted Mr. Taosi's arrangement and are here to wait for the arrangement." Barbara Walters explained to Heisman with a smile on her face.
"Ah, really?"
Heisman's face suddenly turned black like the June sky: "Why are you all still standing there stupidly! Don't you know how to prepare an interview venue for this group of reporters from the United States?"
A group of soldiers immediately started busy, and even the equipment on the photographer's shoulders was enthusiastically snatched away by the group of soldiers.
Barbara was stunned and didn't know what to say when she saw such a smooth scene, but Emily Dunn, a woman with thick lines, still remembered Tao Xi's words.
"Taosi told me that when he comes, he will treat Nicaragua as his home."
"Can we request a tent? We'd like to put the ABC News logo on it."
"Dear Madam, of course." Heisman turned around, waved to the lieutenant who was following behind him, and left alone.
A table, a red carpet, and a tent with the ABC logo were quickly set up.
"It's hard to imagine that we could be so successful."
Instead, Emily Dunn came in from outside with a row of bananas and gave one to each of their colleagues.
"Barbara, yours is amazing."
"Emily, if you cooperate with me in the United States, I guarantee you will be the next Dane Sawyer."
Barbara looked at her seriously, and Emily was a little confused for a moment, not knowing what she should do.
The sound of a plane flying overhead instantly made the entire closed international airport lively.
Barbara Walters looked at the new American Boeing 707 passenger plane parked on the tarmac not far away.
Before Barbara could take a closer look at Emily standing next to him, she shouted to the first person to get off the plane: "Taosi! Taosi! I'm here."
Unfortunately, Tao Xi didn't hear it. When Tao Xi walked down, he was followed by twelve men in black combat uniforms holding submachine guns.
This style made Barbara stunned for a moment.
Isn’t this [peace talk]?
Why do you still bring troops with loaded guns and ammunition?
Daniel Ortega walked at the back of the line, accompanied by his good brother Marco.
"Dear journalist friends, when will you start shooting!"
Heisman did not know when he appeared behind several people, and Barbara realized that they were about to start working.
Cameras, cameras, lights, anything that helps with shooting, these people have prepared everything.
Upon seeing this, Heisman walked to the courtesy car and took Mike Sommer out with a respectful look.
"Hehe, this old guy is quite stylish."
"You actually know how to ask for cameras from reporters!"
Marco muttered angrily, but Daniel did not speak. I don't know if it was an illusion, but he actually looked a little bit happy.
Tao Xi saw that the camera had started working, so he hid at the back of the crowd.
The Nicaraguan Civil War peace talks finally began due to Tausi's efforts.
.....................
The Washington Convention Center is not an office of an organization, but the most distinctive three-star Michelin hotel and five-star hotel in Washington in the 1980s.
There are not many such organizations in the United States, but today it was contracted by [Adams International Energy].
Little Adams followed his uncle Emilio Adams with a humble face. Whenever someone came over, his uncle would introduce Little Adams to the other person with enthusiasm.
"Hahahaha, Max, my nephew may go to Georgia to drill for oil in the future. Then don't forget the relationship between us brothers."
The man named Max patted little Adams on the shoulder with a proud look on his face: "Yes, he has the same demeanor as your father did back then. Back then, your father was able to bite off a piece of meat from the Soviet Union by himself!"
"Thank you Uncle Max for the compliment."
"Little Adams! If you are short of money, you can come to New York to find me. We have a lot of money. Hahahaha. If you can take charge of Raytheon in the future, I hope to hug your thick legs."
"Little Adams, I heard that you don't have a girlfriend yet. How do you think about coming to Lucasfilm for a guest role? The beauties in Hollywood are very covetous of blue chip stocks like you!"
Bankers, congressmen, state legislators, businessmen, lawyers, judges, anyone who usually has business dealings with the Adams family are here now. After all, today is the day when [Adams International Energy] plans to go public.
After resting, Emilio Adams said to little Adams with a look of great relief: "Don't worry, as long as Adams International Energy's listing can help support Raytheon, your position will definitely be fine."
"Thank you, uncle."
"Okay! You did a great job on your trip to Nicaragua, but why didn't Taosi and the others send someone to your party this time?"
Little Adams raised his eyebrows unconsciously when he heard his uncle's question. Emilio Adams didn't say much when he saw this.
Just as the banquet was proceeding in an orderly manner, a curse word suddenly came from the entire banquet hall.
"what the fxxk!"
“Peace is negotiated in Nicaragua!!!”
When Emilio Adams heard this, he turned around and glanced at his nephew first, then hurriedly walked behind the big screen in the conference hall and switched the signal to the TV.
The person who just worked as an international relations analyst in the Judiciary Department shouted: "ABC, it is exclusively broadcast by American radio and television! These damn reporters, they knew about this incident and did not report it but ran to broadcast the news!"
The voiceover of the news anchor on the TV continued to sound off-screen.
Mike Somoza and Daniel Ortega, with smiles on their faces, shook hands and signed a peace agreement with each other, accompanied by a group of Nicaraguan officials.
[This time the Nicaraguan Civil War could not end quickly without the leaders of both sides caring about the people at the bottom. The Managua Revolutionary Army announced today the establishment of the Liberation Party!]
[The Democratic Party of the Sanli regime and the Managua Liberation Party announced that they will officially launch an attack on the northern rebels tomorrow]
[After the war, both sides decided to start running for leadership again]
To be continued...
