Chapter 130 Base Station

Chapter 130 Base Station

A system—whether an organism, a company, a company, or a computer program—expends energy to feed back what happened in the past to the present because it is the more economical approach of the system in dealing with the future. Because to foresee the future, you must understand the past. Following the feedback loop, it constantly impacts the past, provides information to the future, and controls the future. (Excerpt from Kevin Kelly, the author of "Out of Control")

"It is not a coincidence that life can originate on a planet that is shrouded in two mediums: air and water, because water and air have surprising transparency in most spectrums. A clean, transparent environment allows organs to receive signals rich in data from "far" (future) and preprocess signals from organisms. Therefore, eyes, ears and noses are predictive mechanisms that can peek at time.

According to this concept, completely turbid water and air may inhibit the development of prediction mechanisms by preventing information from spreading far away events to the present. Organisms that live in turbid worlds, both in space and in time, are bound to be bound; they lack space to develop adaptive responses. Adaptation, at its core, requires perception of the future. In a changing environment, whether the environment is turbid or clear, systems that can predict the future are more likely to survive. Michael Conrad wrote: "At the end of the day, adaptability is to use information to deal with environmental uncertainty." Gregory Bateson said in a telegram simplicity: "Adaptation is to seek unchange in all changes." The purpose of a system (by definition, unchange) adaptation (change) is to survive (change). Flamingos change themselves to continue to survive..."

015 When I was giving lectures on stage, some of the people below were taking notes seriously, and some were also taking notes, but their expressions were obviously not convinced.

The class is over. 660 and 590 help 015 pack up their belongings.

590 suddenly asked, "Leader, where should we be in the next direction?"

015 smiled and said, "You have finished listening to this class, let me tell you what you think."

590 said, "In this class, you mainly talk about prediction. You said that prediction is very important for the survival of life, so we humans should develop some observation equipment in the future, such as more advanced radio astronomical telescopes. Is that true?"

"You're right. What I'm talking about in this lesson is prediction. The eyes are indeed an important tool for prediction. But relatively speaking, the brain is more important. The brain itself is a giant distributed system. The reason why the brain is smart is because the nerve cells that make up it are constantly communicating. In fact, I, a computer student, and I am definitely not as good as those who are professional in physics, but I understand computers, and I know better than them. A truly powerful computer is not a giant computer, but the Internet itself."

"Do you mean base station?" 590 asked.

"Yes, it is the base station. Base stations on the earth are enough. However, planetary base stations outside the earth are very scarce. The earth is the home of human beings, but it will not and should not be the only home in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to allow human beings outside the earth to have stronger strength and more voice, and help them build more base stations. This is undoubtedly our necessary job."

Postmodern humans swim in the third transparent medium that has been formed. That is, every reality can be digitized. That is, every measurement of human cluster activity can be transmitted through the network. That is, the life trajectory of each individual life can be transformed into numbers and sent through lines. This networked planet has become a torrent of bits, flowing in a clear shell composed of glass fibers, databases and various input devices. Once data flows, it creates transparency. Once society is connected to the network, it can understand itself. Forecast public

The rocket scientists in the company can make more profits than old-school chart analysts because they work in a more transparent medium. The billions of digital information thrown by networked financial institutions condense into a transparent atmosphere, predicting companies to detect the evolutionary patterns. The cloud of data flowing through their workstations forms a clear world of data for them to carefully explore. From some fragments of this fresh air, they can foresee the future.
