Chapter Thirteen Cruel Street Fighting

"The Japanese's marksmanship is really good." Chen Chen was shocked, but he quickly returned to normal and smiled.

"You - are not afraid of death at all?" Zhang Chengfu didn't know what to say, but was more worried than Chen Chen. He couldn't even imagine Chen Chen's bloody appearance after being shot.

"The more you fear death, the faster you die." Chen Chen packed up his things and said, "It's so weird to fight. If you want to live for a long time, there will be bullets coming towards you; if you sacrifice your life, it will be fine."

Zhang Chengfu smiled bitterly and said, "Don't say, there are such strange things in war. Some people, bullets are like hiding from him. We all call this kind of person 'gunlu'."

Chen Chen blinked his big eyes and grinned, "Didn't it mean I'm a 'gun leak'?"

Zhang Chengfu laughed twice, neither saying yes nor saying no, but it undoubtedly means default.

The two of them were packing up, each carrying the seized first aid bun bullet box grenade, and then sneaked back to the position of the National Army.

It was already early morning, and it was dawn in another hour or two. Chen Chen did not stubbornly ask to continue to stay and fight this time because she had a relatively clear understanding.

Tonight, in addition to sniping skills, the biggest advantage lies in the inherited night eye. By dawn, although she may have an advantage in shooting skills, she is on the same level as the Japanese in observation. She is outnumbered. Although she ignores life and death, she will not do it recklessly.

"Why do you like killing Japanese devils so much?" On the way, Zhang Chengfu couldn't suppress the doubts in his heart and asked in a low voice.

Chen Chen paused for a moment, then continued to move forward. After a while, he said something quietly that Zhang Chengfu didn't understand, "It's better to kill the Japanese. Moreover, I think there will be a hopeful future."

***************************************************************************

The Japanese artillery fire was once again exerted its might, the National Army's positions were shrouded in fierce artillery fire, and large tracts of soil, wood chips flew into the air.

Along the way, a Japanese officer pulled out his command knife and howled, and the soldier lying on the ground immediately got up and bent over to charge. In just a moment, the Japanese officer suddenly fell down like a piece of wood. The soldiers under his command lost their commander and the formation began to riot.

Aiming at the stars and firing! Chen Chen and Zhang Chengfu, as well as other special shooters of the National Army, hid in their respective positions and shot hatred bullets at the attacking Japanese.

The battle was still going on in the streets, cruel and fierce. The Japanese army was increasing its troops, and the National Army was also increasing its troops. The two sides were competing and launched a bloody battle.

Street fighting is generally called "urban war". This is because street fighting is a battle between streets and alleys, and the locations usually occur in cities or large villages.

Because of the specific environment, street fighting has two distinct characteristics:

First, the enemy and us fight in close combat, which is very cruel. Since the battle is almost all based on light fire assaults in infantry and are carried out within sight range, the terrain is complex and unpredictable, heavy weapons are useless in street battles.

Moreover, unlike the vast space in field battles, the mobility of the troops is severely restricted in street fighting; the limited vision makes it very inconvenient to observe and shoot coordination. In many cases, the combat formation of the troops is split and has to be scattered into units to fight independently.

Second, the enemy and me are mixed with each other, and the danger is strong. Because there is no clear front line, the enemy and me are mixed with each other, forming a stalemate in which you have me and I have you. The attacking side is in the open and the resisting side hides in the dark, which increases the difficulty and risks of street fighting military operations.

The tall buildings and bunkers built underground are a good place to hide snipers. "Before others shoot at you, you don't know who the enemy is and where the bullet comes from." Unexpected ambush and unpreventable snipers often make the attackers tremble and fall into panic-like shadows of fear and cannot extricate themselves.

Street fighting is not familiar to the National Army, and the Japanese army is not good at street fighting. Or it can be said that street fighting is a nightmare for any modern army, because the two armies are intertwined, their vision is blocked, and all heavy firepower is useless. People fight for people, and light weapons are more people, and those with more people, familiar with the fortifications will have the advantage.

Even though weapons have greatly improved in later generations, street fighting is still cruel and bloody, and the defense is still favorable. Taking Grozny street fighting as an example, according to statistics, this is the most brutal and bloody street fighting since the Vietnam War. Since 1994, two large-scale street fighting broke out in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.

Because Grozny was designed according to the requirements of the combat fortress when he was founded, the fortresses in the city were scattered and densely packed like spider webs. The Russian army entered the city and seemed to have entered a maze, unable to touch the north, and had superior weapons and equipment but could not play. However, Chechen armed snipers could use their familiar terrain to hide in the dark like practicing shooting, killing targets one by one.

At the end of the first street battle in 1995, it was said that a regiment of more than a thousand Russian troops broke into the city, leaving only one officer and ten soldiers.

The second street battle in Grozny took place in 1999, and the Russian army was surrounded by corpses, with more than a thousand soldiers dead, and even Major General Malofeev, the commander-in-chief of the Russian army, was shot and killed by snipers. This small city has become an eternal pain in the hearts of Russian soldiers.

Judging from the above description, the National Army was able to fight fiercely and repeatedly in street fighting with its tenacity and number advantages. However, the reversal of the overall situation was not in this battlefield, but in the periphery, in the Jinshan Guard where the Japanese were about to land.

Shen Chen pulled the bolt, pulled the shell and put the bullet on, aimed at the Japanese, and shot a killing shot. The blood turned into flowing charcoal in her body, aiming to fire the bolt... Then aim and fire the bolt and then pull the bolt...

The pleasure of killing cannot resist the concerns about the reversal of the battle, but Shen Chen knows that she cannot change the overall situation except killing more Japanese devils. People are so slight, who would believe what she said?

Moreover, Shen Chen was increasingly disappointed with the commanders of the National Army. Their abilities were really bad, but they were still stubborn and did not know how to adapt.

No one who has seen Chinese soldiers fighting on the battlefield will doubt their courage. But the commander is wasting this courage ineffectively, making the bystanders sad.
