Chapter 251 Headache

Tang Zhe only stayed in the inn for one night, and the next day he said he had business, so he left. Mr. Huang saw the gap, how could he bear it? That night he bought a chicken, a large piece of meat, picked up a gourd wine, and went to the next night.

Lin Shengyuan looked at him coldly and didn't say much. It was not until midnight that Mr. Huang returned to the room, and Lin Shengyuan was too lazy to ask.

It is already August, and the fields are still green. But there are withered leaves in the middle of the green, telling people that autumn is approaching.

Wang Xiaoli rode on the horse and looked at the surrounding scenery, feeling mixed feelings. A year and a half ago, he set out from Ruzhou and chased Yang Jin south. He occupied a large area of land in Xiangyang and Dengzhou. He quickly expanded to 50,000. This speed was too fast, so fast that he was afraid. If he expanded too quickly, his subordinates were unstable and lacked personnel, and he always felt uneasy.

Wu Shu came west, and Wang Xiaolie led an army of 30,000 to the north and returned to his hometown Ruzhou again. Setting onto the land of Ruzhou, it seemed like a different life.

At the intersection at the village entrance, Wang Zhong stretched his neck and looked at the intersection. Since Xiaosheren left Ruzhou and headed south, he often heard news about him, knowing that now is no longer as big as before, his family and his business are greater, and he wonders what Xiaosheren has become.

Wang Qingxiu stood quietly by the roadside, with a calm expression, but her heart was mixed. She hadn't seen her brother's shadow in the past two years, and I don't know what he had become. Now, the tens of thousands of troops under her command are still like before.

Seeing the crowd waiting at the entrance of the village from afar, Wang Xiaoliu hurriedly dismounted and walked over quickly.

Wang Qingxiu walked forward and saw her younger brother coming, her eyes wet without realizing it.

Wang Xiaolie quickly stepped up and grabbed his sister's hand and said, "How are you doing in the past two years?"

Wang Qingxiu nodded: "Okay, everything is fine. Thank you for your hard work."

Wang Xiaoli bowed and said, "What's the point of getting harder? But now there are more soldiers and larger territory, and I have many worries. It's getting late, so let's go back to talk."

Wang Zhong came up and bowed and said, "The little shepherd is still the same as before. The young man is still worried that in the past two years, the little shepherd has recruited many soldiers, fought many wars, and won a great reputation. People will change. It's better, good!"

Wang Xiaolien met the villagers one by one, and returned to the village with his sister.

As it was almost evening, several tables were placed in the Wang family's yard and invited the villagers from the village to dinner. The big fish and meat and the good wine brought by Wang Xiaoliu were placed on it to let everyone have fun. When he returned home this time, Wang Xiaoliu also brought some specialties from Xiangyang and ordered his soldiers to send them to everyone.

Everyone dispersed and it became dark. A moon hung in the air, sprinkling a faint glow.

Wang Xiaoli sat next to the osmanthus tree in the yard, looking at the moon in the sky. He just sat there quietly, smelling the fragrance of osmanthus flowers beside him, as if he was back to his carefree age when he was a child.

After the tea came, Wang Qingxiu sat down and said, "I have often heard your name in the past two years. I have suppressed Yang Jin, and this year I have won two great battles with the Jin people, and they both won a great victory. When the villagers talked about it, they all praised you. But looking at your appearance, they seemed unhappy."

Wang Xiaoli said: "When I left Ruzhou, I felt that if I had tens of thousands of soldiers in my hands and had ruled the territory of several states, no force in the world would take seriously. At that time, Xingyi Army went north to expel the Jin people and let the people live a happy life, which was very simple. When I really had tens of thousands of soldiers, I realized that the things in the world were not that simple. Many things must be thought of and ignored, but if I really took care of them, I was upset."

After hearing this, Wang Qingxiu smiled: "Dalang, you are thinking too much! Who in the world is not praised for your current appearance? As long as you fight with the Jin soldiers a few times and grow the ambition of the Han people, you can be regarded as a great hero who stands tall and upright!"

"Big Hero?" Wang Xiaolie was stunned for a moment and shook his head. "If you are just a big hero, I'm afraid you won't be able to fulfill my wishes!"

Wang Qingxiu was stunned when she heard this. She turned to look at her younger brother and suddenly realized that this was not the boy in her memory. A few years ago, my father and brother started to serve the king's army and left his hometown. When my younger brother accompanied him, he was just a boy with his breasts not fading. After a few years, during the battle on the battlefield, my younger brother quickly matured. Now, when doing things, my younger brother has his own ideas, which is not as good as before.

Looking up at a crescent moon in the sky, Wang Xiaolei said: "The Jin army broke through Kaifeng Prefecture and the two emperors were hunting north. In fact, there are not no precedents in history. In the former Tang Dynasty, how many times did foreign races attack Chang'an? They burned, killed, robbed, and the people were in trouble. However, the two emperors were taken away, and most of the royal family were kidnapped, but they were rare in their previous lives. In the eyes of many people, foreign races were not used to the Central Plains and eventually retreated. After the country was renovated, it was not difficult to reorganize the country. But I know that this time was different from before, and it was really difficult."

The Song Dynasty was the first Central Plains dynasty to be completely destroyed by alien races. This incident had a great impact on China, far beyond expectations. Although the Ming Dynasty later reorganized the mountains and rivers, it did not reach the peak of the Han and Tang dynasties. More importantly, Mongolia entered the Central Plains for a hundred years, and its politics, economy, thought, and culture had a profound impact on the Han people. Later, the Qing Dynasty entered the Central Plains, and all aspects of the Central Plains were affected.

The simplest example is that in Wang Xiaoli's previous life, people most admired the Tang Dynasty for the dynasties. In particular, Emperor Taizong of Tang Li Shimin was respected as the Tiankang Khan. Many people talked about it and yearned for it, believing it as the highlight of the Central Plains dynasty. In fact, for the Emperor of the Central Plains, Tiankhan, who also served as the northern nomadic people, was a compromise with the nomadic people. Tiankhan is not just a name, but also means that there are two political systems in the territory. The nomadic people implemented their political systems and culture. The Tang Dynasty was a Central Plains dynasty that followed the Sui Dynasty and served as Tiankhan or similar positions. In addition to the Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, there were also the later Yuan Qing Dynasty. To a certain extent, serving as Tiankhan also showed that the empire was binary.

The emperor was supreme, and any part-time job was condescending to the emperor. The Khan who served as a nomadic Khan only explained that he attached great importance to the nomadic peoples and gave political preferential treatment. In fact, after the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty, the emperor himself abolished the title of Tian Khan. In the context of traditional Chinese culture, Li Shimin was revered as Tian Khan, which was not the highlight of the Central Plains dynasty, but only showed that the nomadic people in the north accepted the rule of Li Shimin. This is different from Western culture. Western culture likes a long list of names, and Chinese culture does not have such habits.

Another word is genius. Traditionally, genius is the profession of the ruler of the nomads in the north, which is roughly analogous to the emperor of the Central Plains. However, in Wang Xiaoli's previous life, outstanding people like to be called genius the most. Some people don't understand, and some people understand, but they think this word is particularly powerful. In film and television works, in novels, all outstanding people should be called genius.

The Song Dynasty was destroyed by Mongolia, and later the Ming Dynasty re-emerged. One of the slogans was that the sun and the moon reopened the Song and Heaven. But in the end, the Ming Dynasty did not destroy Mongolia in the north. In the end, the Manchu rulers who served as the Mongol Khan entered the Central Plains and destroyed the Ming Dynasty. In this sense, the Mongol Khan persisted for a longer time than the Ming emperor.

The destruction of the Song Dynasty profoundly influenced Chinese history and the culture and thoughts of the Han people. As for later generations, some people even believed that the Song Dynasty was not a unified dynasty, the Northern Song Dynasty was the three kingdoms of Song, Liao, and Western Xia, and the Southern Song Dynasty was the Southern and Northern Dynasties, which further demonstrated the loss of the Han people's own thoughts and culture. The weak Song Dynasty was of course weak, but for the Han people, where did the Three Kingdoms come from?

The influence of this cultural thought is far more profound than people think. Until the founding of New China and its founding for more than 70 years, it was still suppressing the Han culture. In terms of thought, it was said that it was the revival of Chinese traditional culture, and a large number of literati had a craze to study Wang Yangming. Before Wang Yangming, there were very few people who studied it. It was said that it was the revival of Confucianism, and the popular works were not considered excellent in elementary school textbooks. Real Confucianism and real Chinese traditional culture, and not many people thought about it.

The popularity of Wang Yangming is closely related to the popularity of his thoughts in Japan. In modern China, some literati looked around and suddenly found that Yangming's Mind Studies, which had not had a particularly great influence in China, were particularly highly praised in Japan. There are even widely circulated jokes saying that the famous Japanese general Hirahachiro Togo had a waist card, and a sentence was written on it: "I bow my head to worship Yangming forever", which is ridiculous and sad. Some people even felt heartbroken that Yangming's Mind Studies was not valued in China, but blossomed in Japan.

As a result, modernization reform was completed. If the Chinese people value Yangming's study of mind, how could they fall behind Japan? Liang Qichao even made amazing words, saying that there were two and a half saints in Chinese history, one Confucius, one Wang Yangming, and half Zeng Guofan. In this huge China, with thousands of years of civilization, two and a half saints came out? Confucius here was probably because of his historical status. There was also a fellow villager from Wang Yangming, who was the president of a party and the leader of a country, and highly praised Wang Yangming.

China's glorious history and splendid civilization, in the end, the literati couldn't even explain it. Why didn't China enter the industrial society? This question is called Joseph Needham, which was asked by foreigners. Can Chinese people answer it? The fact is that they cannot. Although many people claim to have found the answer, in fact, most of the answers do not even have the depth of the foreigners' questions.

To be honest, after the Song Dynasty, Chinese culture has regressed. Even though many thoughts appeared in the Ming Dynasty and put forward many theoretical ideas, it had little impact on Chinese culture. When the Ming Dynasty was destroyed and the Manchus entered the Central Plains, the suppression of ideas was even more severe. However, the Republic of China after the Qing Dynasty continued to be frequent wars. In the New China, whether it was the sinicization of Marxism-Leninism or the revival of traditional culture, it was really a lack of effective people and dazzling results.

Faced with the differences in ancient and modern cultures, Wang Xiaoli often asked himself. Why is the obvious misunderstanding of Tian Khan and Tianjiao popular in China? It is not that no one understands it, nor can we blame the users and readers for having little knowledge, but the overall consciousness of a society. This overall consciousness does not care about what the traditional China looks like. What they care about is whether they are happy or not when reading. It is not wrong to think this way, people have the right to use language they like. The question is, how is this overall social consciousness formed?

In the late Qing Dynasty, Western ships and powerful guns opened the country, and Chinese literati finally saw the outside world. In the past two hundred years, they have not seen enough of the outside world, have not yet lost their sense of novelty, and are still full of yearning. And what the motherland behind them looks like, how brilliant and brilliant, how it lags behind, and what it takes to revival is, they have no interest, and they have not figured out what the country behind them are.

When it comes to how to prevent China from lagging behind in modern times, some people have proposed to abolish Confucianism and many people have said to abolish Confucianism. If Confucianism does not abolish, China will inevitably lag behind. If you want to ask why, there are many standard answers. There are many names for suppressing ideas, suppressing industry and commerce, and suppressing capitalism. They completely ignore these statements, right or wrong, is it true.

This is the childish disease of literati. They obviously don’t know, they can’t explain the truth, but they like to talk nonsense and spill out a lot of inexplicable things. China was rubbed by the West on the ground in the Qing Dynasty. There was nothing wrong with the Qing Dynasty. It was all the fault of historical ancestors. Are these statements funny? The growth of culture is really harder than national strength.

Wang Xiaolie’s memory is reliable to tell him how to train a powerful army. If it involves cultural thoughts, it will only cause headaches.
