Chapter 64 The star has fallen!

The yellow leaf in the strong wind finally fell, and the whole country of Daxia was sad.

When Ouyang Bian heard the news of Sima Guang's death, he rushed to pay his respects. Sima Kang presented eight pages of manuscripts to Ouyang Bian. These eight pages of manuscripts were found by Sima Kang from Sima Guang's study.

What is written on it is the most important things of the world.

Sima Guang put forward many opinions on the economy, politics, army, people's livelihood, education and other things of the Daxia Kingdom, and his words were sincere and full of love for the motherland.

Seeing the deepest part, even Ouyang Bian couldn't help crying.

Since he became a Jinshi at the age of 20, this scholar has served the country for more than 40 years. Even when he was detained by Ouyang Bian in the Daxia Dynasty, he did not stop seeking benefits for the people.

During the years in Daxia, although he did not accept official positions, he continued to go to the countryside to investigate the real situation of people's livelihood, and then helped the people fight for rights through various channels.

However, he himself dressed simple and had a simple lifelong life, and maintained his true nature as a scholar. He only purchased a small house and three hectares of land in Luoyang. When his wife, Mrs. Zhang, died, he kept the fields for burial. Later, Ouyang Bian learned about this and bought some shops for Sima Guang, which allowed him, who had no official position, to survive.

But Sima Guang never felt that it was not bad.

Because in his heart, right and wrong are the greatest.

He walked straight, dreaming of building a country with harmony, order, stability and prosperity. After the manuscripts left behind, he seemed to talk to someone, and to sum up his ambitions. He said that the country in his mind is a country that allows both Chinese and foreigners to eat, drink tea, enjoy, play, and not be frightened by the war. The people plow in spring, harvest in summer, and keep in winter. In the harvest of good fortune, there are chickens and meat. Although the wax wine is intact, the guests are all happy.

What moved Ouyang Bian was that Sima Guang had actually lost consciousness in the last moment of his life, but he still dictated it to Sima Kang and asked Sima Kang to write it down, saying that he must see it.

In the last days, Sima Guang always wanted to advise Ouyang Bian. He believed that both the emperor and the country must reduce their expenses, hide wealth from the people, and give the people time to rest.

These words were almost murmured afterwards, but they were repeatedly said many times.

I think this is the most important thing in the eyes of this scholar who is a bit pedantic and a little behind the times. As for those great achievements, it may not be the most important. In fact, he has indeed practiced all this in his life.

What he did may not be right, what he did may not be really beneficial to the country, but his patriotism is a reflection of the sun and the moon.

Such a great scholar is like a yellow leaf falling from the strong wind, making the whole Xia and the whole world sad.

Ouyang Bian ordered Sima Guang to give it to the Grand Tutor and Duke Wen, 3,000 taels of silver and 4,000 pieces of silk, and to give it to Longzhu and mercury to collect. In addition, Ouyang Bian also wrote a stele of divine Tao for Sima Guang, and the inscription reads--The Monument of Loyalty and Cuishing De.

In addition, Ouyang Bian also invited Su Shi and Wang Anshi to make a divine inscription for Sima Guang. He also allocated silver for Sima Guang to build a stele building, and discussed with all civil and military officials the posthumous title of Wen Zheng.

The posthumous title Wen Zheng is the most noble posthumous title that a civil servant can get.

This is an official honor, but what is commendable is the love of the people.

Upon learning of Sima Guang's death, the people of Bianjing City took the initiative to strike and went to Sima's Mansion to perform sacrifices. Many ordinary people pawned their clothes and bought sacrifices.

Sima Guang's hometown is in the water. According to the customs at this time, the coffin should be sent back to his hometown for burial. On the day of the spirit, the people of Kaifeng surrounded Zhuque Street and were much more lively than when Zhao Xu was sent back to Bianjing. When the coffin passed, the sad crying sounds were overwhelming, and the entire city of Bianjing fell into sorrow.

When Sima Guang's coffin passes, there must be people who come out to cry, especially on the day of the burial, there were tens of thousands of people coming from all directions to attend the funeral, and they lined up from the Sima family's cemetery to the distant Emei Ridge.

In fact, most of these people have never met Sima Guang, but they are like wailing at their dead parents and relatives.

After hearing about this, Ouyang Bian couldn't help but sigh: "Wen Zhenggong was able to gain the love of people, not because of his articles or how high his official position was, but because he loved the people. He was not only considering the court and the emperor, but also considering the people. In other words, he was considering the overall interests of the country. He hoped to seek harmony between the court and the people and establish a balanced order. Now it seems that the people have received his wish."

Ouyang Bian learned that the people were commemorating Sima Guang, so he asked someone to paint Sima Guang's portrait, printed a lot, and sold it on the market, so that those who want to get Sima Guang's portrait can be commemorated.

Sima Guang died, and a shining star was lost in the sky of China, but not long after, another star fell.

This time it was Wang Anshi.

Sima Guang died in Wang Anshi's joke. Wang Anshi seemed to be stimulated and began to get sick after he returned, but he forced his sick body to help Sima Guang write the inscription of the Shinto. After writing, his condition became worse.

After Ouyang Bian heard about it, he quickly sent someone to the door for consultation. However, Wang Anshi seemed to have reached the end of his life. The medicine stone became ineffective. In autumn, Wang Anshi left.

Ouyang Bian was very sad.

Wang Anshi is different from Sima Guang, and his significance to Ouyang Bian is also different. In this world, there are three elders who are the closest to Ouyang Bian, one is Ouyang Xiu, the other is Bao Zheng, and the last one is Wang Anshi.

Ouyang Xiu is Ouyang Bian's father. Bao Zheng and Ouyang Bian are both teachers and friends. There are many expectations hidden under the seriousness. Wang Anshi is a comrade to Ouyang Bian.

Although it means that Wang Anshi is Ouyang Bi's teacher, they are more of doing things to change together. Although the paths of the two have changed later and even formed conflicts, this comradeship cannot be changed.

Wang Anshi passed away, and Ouyang Bian had only one less comrade in this world.

The successive deaths of Wang Anshi and Sima Guang also brought an era to an end. As the two most shining young people in the Renzong Dynasty, the Mesozoic period of the Yingzong Dynasty and the mainstay of the Shenzong Dynasty, this year finally came to an end.

The Daxia Dynasty also entered a new page.

At the end of the tenth year of Daxing, the Daxia court changed its reign title, and the Daxia dynasty entered the Jiading era.

The Jiading era opened a magnificent prosperity of the Great Xia Dynasty!
