Chapter 3 Analytical Spells

If a mage wants to cast a spell, he must first parse the spell and copy it into the spell book.

According to the level, the spells are divided into ten levels from low to high, with the lowest being zero ring, the highest being nine rings, and the higher being legendary spells.

The magic list of the Book of Sages covers all spells from zero rings to legendary levels, but Lin Xiangcheng only has the authority to read. If he wants to cast the spell, he still cannot avoid the analysis and transcription.

The only thing that a level 0 mage can analyze is the lowest level zero-ring spell.

Opening the spell list, eighteen zero-ring spells emerged in an array on the pages.

Strong acid splash, stun technique, flash technique, detection of toxicity, mage's hand, frozen ray, repair technique...

Most of them are auxiliary spells, and the only few killer spells are extremely limited, which is also the reason why the Zero Ring Spell is also called a trick.

As a former legendary wizard, Lin Xiangcheng had already mastered these spells. He randomly chose a stun technique, and then lay on the bed and closed his eyes to analyze.

The so-called analytical spell, in layman's terms, is to understand and memorize the spell model, and inscribe it on your own spell book in the process. However, even the lowest-level zero-ring spell, its structure is far from simple.

That's why the mage is extremely demanding on intellectual attributes.

Intelligence represents comprehension ability and memory ability. It is difficult for mages with insufficient intelligence to understand complex spell circuits and spell nodes, and naturally there is no question of mastering spell models. It takes a long time for such people to analyze zero-ring spells.

Fortunately, Lin Xiangcheng not only has an intelligence of up to 15 points, but also has experience in analyzing it before, so it is relatively easier to do it again.

Time passed quickly in immersion. During this period, the nurse came to see him several times, just as he was sleeping, and he did not disturb him.

Until noon the next day, Lin Xiangcheng finally successfully analyzed the stun technique and copied it into the Book of the Sage.

"Successfully parsed the spell."

"Your mage skills have been improved and you have 10 professional experience."

Lin Xiangcheng glanced at the personal panel and the occupation column had become ‘Master Level 0 (10/25)’

"It will take about a little more than a day to analyze a spell. It seems that you can upgrade your level to level 1 before and after discharge."

Analyzing spells is extremely mentally consuming and cannot last for a long time. Otherwise, if the mental loss is excessive, the headache will be unbearable, and the mentally sluggish for several days will be more than worth the effort. Therefore, Lin Xiangcheng took a few rests in the middle of the city, and with eating, sleeping and dealing with doctors' examinations, he actually spent only three or four hours on analyzing spells.

Just as he was about to continue analyzing the second spell, the door suddenly rang.

The police officer is here.

Considering that Lin Xiangcheng had woken up on the day of the car accident, the local police station did not appear except for routine inquiries in the early stages of the accident. It did not arrive until today, and its efficiency can be seen.

However, Lin Xiangcheng has long been used to it. After all, this is the South District. In the view of Tianxin City Police Station, the importance of accidents in the South District is far lower than that in the North District.

The attitudes of the two police officers also proved this, and the inquiry was full of routine meaning from beginning to end.

Finally, one of the middle-aged police officers said: "Mr. Lin, we have found the vehicle that was abandoned on the roadside, which matches the license plate provided by Miss Xia Wei. We did find traces of impact, but the owner insisted that the vehicle had been stolen last week."

Lin Xiangcheng raised his eyebrows, "Where is the surveillance video?"

"The camera at the accident scene was broken."

Lin Xiangcheng was stunned and said with a smile: "That's really a coincidence."

The middle-aged policeman looked at him and continued: "There is no evidence that the owner is the perpetrator, but the owner said that after all, he accidentally lost the vehicle, which caused the accident, so he was willing to make compensation for it. The owner's representative is waiting outside now."

Speaking of this, the middle-aged police officer paused and sighed imperceptibly. When he spoke, he had a little more persuasion in his words, "Mr. Lin, I think you should accept other people's compensation, this is what you deserve."

Lin Xiangcheng looked quite calm and nodded, "I understand, police officer, please call people in."

The middle-aged policeman took out his cell phone and made a phone call. Not long after, a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and an elite suit and ties walked in.

"Hello, Mr. Lin, my name is Sun Zhen."

As soon as they met, the man smiled and handed over a business card with exquisite workmanship with both hands.

Lin Xiangcheng took it and saw that the job position column read 'Chairman Secretary of Jinjin Group'.

Jinjin Group is one of the two major commercial groups in Tianxin City. It has a considerable influence locally. Its main business is hotel chains. However, I heard that it has recently begun to enter the logistics industry.

For ordinary people, Jinjin Group is undoubtedly a irresistible behemoth, and the group's chairman Du Delin is a household name in Tianxin City.

"Is that car from Du Delin?" Lin Xiangcheng looked up and asked.

Sun Zhen shook his head and said, "No, it's the son of our chairman, Du Zenghui and Du Shao."

Lin Xiangcheng suddenly realized that it was Du Delin's son, no wonder.

"Mr. Lin, the Chairman and Mr. Du are both sorry for what happened to you, so they sent me to apologize and make compensation."

While talking, Sun Zhen took out a check from the briefcase he carried with him and handed it to Lin Xiangcheng. The amount column clearly stated one and five zeros.

One hundred thousand yuan is a considerable amount for ordinary people.

Lin Xiangcheng's eyes flashed slightly, and he took the check with a calm expression and placed it on the table beside the bed.

Seeing this, Sun Zhen showed a satisfied smile on his face and said, "Thank you for your understanding, then, I won't disturb Mr. Lin's rest and say goodbye."

After saying that, he turned around and left without any hesitation.

The two policemen looked at each other and said nothing, and then left the ward.

When the room calmed down again, Lin Xiangcheng's eyes showed a flash of coldness.

Of course he wouldn't just give up, but the situation was better than the others. The other party clearly arranged everything, and even if the trouble continued, he couldn't get it. It would be better to take the check, make the other party think that he had given up, relax his vigilance, and take revenge when he had enough strength.

With the Book of the Sage, I don’t have to wait too long for the opportunity to take revenge.

Leaning back on the headboard, Lin Xiangcheng summoned the Book of the Sage and continued to analyze the second spell.

This world may not be a complete jungle law, but the principle of the prevalence of the weak is always passed on. No reason needs to be discussed. Only strength is the fundamental one.
