Chapter 12 Playmates and Letters

After walking around the fields, Li Yu and the others finally set off on the country road to Lijiawan.

"Li Yu, the town has become that kind of ghost. The village should be fine, right?" Li Dashu said nervously on the way to Lijiawan.

"It should be fine," Li Yu replied.

His voice was a little dull, and he obviously had no idea. It was better to comfort himself than to answer Li Dashu.

A few miles to Lijiawan was not a big deal for two and a half of the guys. Qiu Laohu's sun was getting higher and higher, but they didn't feel the slightest heat, but instead they were cold all over.

Because the whole world is so quiet, it is almost evil.

The village of Lijiawan is not big. As the name suggests, it is a village built along the valley. There is a small river that often breaks down in front of the village, which is now dry.

After climbing a ridge, Li Yu and the others could see a corner of the village from afar.

"Dad, mom~!"

When he saw the village, Li Dashu trembled all over, screamed in shock, and rushed towards the village like crazy.

Li Yu had no time to stop him, and he couldn't stop him. Li Dashu ran too fast, and at the same time, Li Yu was also shocked by the scene he saw.

There was thick smoke rolling over Lijia Bay in the valley and it was on fire!

In autumn, the weather is dry and dry, which is the most likely season to cause fires. At this time, most areas in Lijiawan have been licked into white by the fire!

It was not much better than Li Dashu. Li Yu screamed and ran towards the village.

When Li Yu stumbled to the entrance of the village, his body couldn't help but tremble in the face of the situation in front of him.

Nearly half of the building was burned out, cattle and sheep were roaring, chickens and ducks were scrambling, and a few demonic roars came from time to time in the flames!

He didn't care where Li Dashu had gone, but Li Yu rushed straight along the village road towards his own direction.

Li Yu's home is at the innermost valley, and it is dozens of meters away from the nearest home. What made Li Yu breathe a sigh of relief was that his home was not affected by the fire.

Seeing that his family was fine, Li Yu's heart finally fell down.

Just as Li Yu was about to step into his own courtyard and shout for his grandfather, a black shadow suddenly emerged from the grass beside him and rushed straight towards Li Yu.

"Big fortune!"

Facing the shadow that suddenly rushed towards him, Li Yu not only did not panic but said in surprise.

The black shadow was a grown-up black dog. Perhaps because of malnutrition, the black dog looked thin and its fur was not so magnificent and soft. However, the black dog had a skeleton, one meter long, and it revealed its fierceness in its bones.

Wow, wow, wow~!

The fierce black dog rushed to Li Yu, wagging its tail around Li Yu, looking extremely excited.

"Dacai, you're fine, you're fine." Li Yu squatted down and rubbed the black dog's head and said happily.

This dog was raised by Li Yu. After raising it for six years, the dog is not concerned about its poor family and is the most loyal. Perhaps it has been waiting for Li Yu to come back by the roadside.

The black dog named Dacai seemed extremely happy about the owner's return. Li Yu rubbed his head and squatted on the ground and narrowed his eyes.

After a moment of intimacy with Dacai, Li Yu asked, "Where is Dacai, where is Grandpa?"

For Li Yu, this dog is not just a guard at home. After six years of getting along, he has become a member of this family, and he is also Li Yu’s closest playmate.

Regarding Li Yu's inquiry, the black dog named Dacai just let out a few whimpers, and didn't know what it meant.

"Let's go home"

Li Yu greeted him and walked towards the house. Dacai shook his tail and followed obediently.

"Grandpa, grandpa~!"

Standing at the door of the house, Li Yu shouted, but there was no voice in the house.

Li Yu's family is very poor, with only three thatched huts. Because they have not been repaired for a long time, it seems crumbling. Because Li Yu's family cannot afford to raise cattle, and the cheapest calf is one tael of silver, and even more so, they cannot afford chickens and ducks, because chickens and ducks need food.

At this time, the house was quiet, and Li Yu's heart subconsciously skipped a beat.

Immediately he rushed to the door and pushed open the shaking wooden door.

The house looks a little dark and has simple furnishings, and it is most appropriate to describe it as a bare wall.

There was no grandfather in the room. Li Yu searched all three rooms but couldn't find his grandfather. Finally, Li Yu found a letter in his grandfather's room.

As soon as his eyes lit up, Li Yu picked up the letter and began to browse it quickly.

This letter was left to him by Grandpa Li Yu. He didn't say much, just a few simple words.

"Boy, when you saw this letter, your grandfather, I have left. I have been dragged down by you for ten years. You have grown up, and it's safe to join the Wang family to do things. It's time to do your own thing. Don't worry, don't look for me. I'm fine, and I will naturally go to you after finishing the work."

Li Yu read this letter three times. Because he had learned to read with his grandfather since he was a child, he undoubtedly recognized it as a written by his grandfather.

After reading it, Li Yu was stunned and said that he was abandoned by his grandfather?

After dependent on his grandfather for ten years, he finally left such a letter and didn't know where to go. Li Yu's heart was a little empty, and at the same time he subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, which proved that his grandfather was fine.

But the question is, where did my grandfather go? This letter is obviously the rhythm of traveling far away...

After carefully looking at the room, Li Yu found that there was already a thin layer of dust in the room. This proved that his grandfather had been away for several days, and maybe he left on the same day when he went to work in the Wang family in the town.

"My family has no distant relatives, where can grandpa go?" Li Yu couldn't think of a clue after thinking for a long time.

Just as he recalled this, Li Yu suddenly realized that there were a lot of aunts, aunts, uncles and masters in other families in the village, but his family seemed to have no relatives except being familiar with the villagers.

My family is from outside? I haven't heard from my grandfather. Moreover, my surname is Li, and most people in Lijiawan also have the surname Li, so the possibility of being outside is very small.

My family is so poor that I almost have a butt, and my grandfather doesn't look like he is going out for free...

Thinking of this, Li Yu began to rummage boxes and cabinets at home, but Li Yu almost dug the floor three feet away but couldn't find any information about his grandfather's departure.

Isn’t this a silly thing? My grandfather left for Mao?

Li Yu was so confused that he heard a wealthy roar outside the house.

Hearing the sound, Li Yu was shocked, put away the letter and walked out of the house with a revolver in his arms.

What made him feel a little relieved was that it was not a monster that came, but Li Shan, a second uncle who was familiar with the same village.

"Li Yu, when I hear your voice, I know you are back. Go away, leave the village, why did you run back? This morning, the whole village basically turned into a monster. Go away!"

Li Shan came outside the house, faced the fierce Dacai subconsciously took a step back, and immediately said anxiously to Li Yu who had walked out of the house...
