Chapter 52 Inspiration

The Kosencha family's farm is undoubtedly the largest on the west bank of the Agri River. The entire field surrounding the farm extends out into the distance along the wall. The fruits hanging from the climbing branches on large wooden frames make people salivate, and the lettuce, shepherd's purse, peas, and some other vegetables that are enough to arouse people's appetite make people jealous.

Several stables and pig houses are a little farther away, and when you get closer, you can smell some not-so-smelling smells, but these smells mean that there are enough livestock breeding in the farm.

But none of these are the most important. What really makes people feel that the Kosencha family is the large number of animal skins, honey, and enough seasonings stored in the low semi-underground storage room behind the farm.

Especially those condiments, when Mahimo saw several ceramic jars filled with black and white peppers placed casually on wooden shelves against the wall, the monk's eyes began to turn blue.

"I'm the same guy as you," Elliott came to Machimo for some reason, standing with him and staring at the ceramic jars. "When I saw these things, I thought, I must let my son marry this Earl Miss, even for these peppers, not let this marriage go."

Elliott's words made Mahimo's eyes wide open. If he hadn't really figured out the origin of this guy, he really wanted to ask: "Brother, where are you doing this?"

Maximo didn't believe that this boy who liked to cheat food, drink, and cheat money and sex was a nobleman, and he was also a great nobleman, but he didn't dare to be too presumptuous, because this person seemed to be very clear about the Kosencha family. Obviously, if this person was not a very powerful liar, he would definitely be a nobleman as he said.

In fact, it was not only Mahimo who was surprised by the wealth of Kosencha Farm, but Alexander was also surprised.

Unlike Mahimo who only saw the accumulated things, what Alexander saw was the fertility and great potential of this land.

The numerous cattle, sheep and horses mean there are enough pastures here, and piles of animal skins are because there are jungles that can support a large number of wild animals, while honey means there are water sources and lush wetlands that can make the land extremely fertile.

All of this allowed Alexander to have a new estimate of the value of this land again and again, and some places have even exceeded his previous guesses.

This place is truly the richest treasure land in the south of the Apennine Peninsula. Alexander sighed secretly in his heart. At the same time, he realized that it was not only him who underestimated this land. Even the nobles who coveted this land all day long did not really understand what the Agri River Plain actually meant.

Many people always see the food that can be produced by this land and some things that can be used for them to squander and enjoy, but they do not see the more wealth that this land can bring to them.

But even so, the Agri River Plain is enough to attract many people to spy. Think about Frederick, and then think about Elliott who was sighing at the whole row of wooden frames with Machimo in the storage room. Alexander could guess what the meaning of this was.

"It seems that your stepson likes this place very much," Alexander picked up a bottle of wine on the table, pulled out the cork and put it under his nose and smelled it. Then he had to admit that the farm manager was not bragging, at least it smelled no different from what was brewed in the monasteries of Sicily. "Do you think he would ask his father to ask you to use this farm as a dowry?"

Ruosha's golden eyebrows frowned, and her shiny eyebrows even slightly condensed into the middle. Alexander immediately realized that his "sister" might be really angry.

Sure enough, the silent Ruosha looked at him with a provocative look, and then suddenly asked: "Do you really want me to marry the Earl of Hosen who can be my father, and then let him treat me like those lovers of my mother?"

Alexander's mouth couldn't help but open. He didn't expect Ruosha to ask so directly.

Ruosha's unconstrained description made the scenes of George Anne and her lover's meeting in his mind. Then he imagined an old guy who was old enough to do those things to Ruosha. Alexander suddenly felt an indescribable feeling.

"Or the Count is not very old. It is said that your father gave birth to Kysel before he was 20 years old." Alexander said with some confidence.

"Then I would rather marry Alfred, so maybe I will become the queen of Naples in a short while. It would be better than being a countess." Ruosha pouted her lips slightly.

"Don't marry Alfred," Alexander blurted out, and his tone was a little anxious. Looking at Ruosha's interesting appearance, Alexander lowered his voice and said, "It is said that of course it is just that Alfred seemed to have been injured in a previous competition, so he is actually an eunuch."

"Eunuch?" Ruosha looked at Alexander in shock. "You mean the kind in the Ottoman palace..."

"It should be, but this news is just a legend. You know, I only heard from Burley, and Burley once again heard from others when he followed your brother out, and that's it."

"Berry also knows?" Ruosha asked in disbelief, "Why don't men tell me what they know? Is it because of this Kaiser that I stopped me from interacting with Alfred?"

Alexander shook his head unanimously. Of course, he knew that Kysel could not oppose the marriage between his sister and Frederick's son just because of this matter, but he did not add fuel to this matter and still had some awareness of being an older brother.

Moreover, he thought Ruosha’s complaints were unreasonable. Perhaps neither Kaiser nor Burley could have imagined that the innocent little sisters in their minds would secretly watch their mother and lover have a secret relationship.

"It seems that I really can't believe anyone," Ruosha seemed to sit down and began to look through the large stack of books and fields that the farm manager had just brought. "The Corsencha family's farm is very big, and although this is the largest on the west bank of the Agri River, it is not the only one."

Ruosha looked up at Alexander with a little proud look, then pushed one of the thick books in front of him: "Look at this, this is sent by the farm on the east bank of the river, but because there are not as many land and livestock there, they do not need to send someone to take care of it, as long as the farm manager has time to go over and take care of it."

"Yeah."

Alexander asked casually. Although he was very interested in this land, he was not very interested in these thick books. At least in his opinion, unless it was the Venetian style of accounting that was already quite good at today's Venetians, it would be more reliable to waste time on a lot of books that could not see anything at all.

And what really made Alexander care about was that they had entered the Agri Plain for a long time, but never saw Frederick, which was completely different from what he had previously guessed.

Frederick even did not hesitate to confront Modillo, and his determination to attack Kosencha made Alexanderjue not believe that he would lose news inexplicably after such a big disturbance. This is not only different from Frederick's personality in the legend, but even if he just thinks about the price he has to pay for using the Bohemians, Frederick would not say so quietly.

But why has Frederick's people never appeared now?

Alexander was secretly anxious. When he was borrowing troops from Nashan, his promise to Nashan would allow him to see a miracle.

This miracle is actually not just a promise to Nashan, but also what Alexander himself hopes to see.

The impact of Frederick on Kosencha's ambitions may be said to be something Frederick himself could not imagine, at least in this sudden change, Alexander saw a rare opportunity.

By mastering the Agri River Plain, you can have a base that provides guarantees for anything you do in the future.

But Alexander knew very well how difficult it was to master this land.

In addition to the need for strength to gain a foothold here, he also lacks the name of even interfering in affairs in this region.

His only chance was to take advantage of the various disputes that were happening on this land to take advantage of the opportunity. In this way, he really hopes that this land will cause trouble, but he himself.

But now everything seemed so calm, as if what happened in Kosencha had not affected the Agri River plain at all, which made Alexander feel ready, but suddenly he was aimless and confused.

"I remembered that the boundaries of the farms on the south bank seemed to border a piece of territory of Count Taranto," Ruosha suddenly looked up at Alexander. She said nothing, but Alexander already understood what she meant.

Obviously, Ruosha was not as indifferent to Count Taranto as she looked on. Whether out of disgust with marriage or because of the intersection between the two parties on the Agri River Plain, Ruosha was always very sensitive to the arrival of the Taranto people.

"That Elliott looks very interesting," Alexander laughed. Although he already understood what Ruosha said, he was still more concerned about Frederick's movements. Just looking at Ruosha's unwillingness to relax, he decided to satisfy his 'sister' wish first. "I'll go and talk to him."

Seeing that Alexander finally compromised, Ruosha's two beautiful eyebrows were bent, and her blue eyes narrowed slightly. This made Alexander's heart inexplicably jump twice more.

When he found Elliott, Alexander saw that he was sitting opposite Machimore across the table, with three or four empty wine bottles on the table, and Machimore's face was flushed like a cute porcelain doll.

"Come on, respectful guardian of the lighthouse, tell me about Sicily." Elliot raised his cup to Alexander. "I have heard a lot about you."

Alexander glared at Machimo secretly, wondering why this guy who had always liked to cheat people made someone trick him into making it clear this time. I guess after these bottles of wine, the details of his own side had already been touched by Elliot.

However, he still sat opposite Elliot and pushed the monk who was already a little tilted: "Okay, go and do something for Uliu. I guess he is scolding you now."

"Sure my order, sir," Mahimo stood up, first twisted his head and looked left and right, then found where the door was, and then he bent down in Alexander's ear and whispered in a voice that could almost be heard in the whole room, "Don't worry, sir, I didn't say anything to that boy, and be careful, I don't think he is the son of a count at all."

"Okay, go and do things," Alexander wanted to say at this time that he didn't know this guy. Looking at the monk who was shaking out of the door, Alexander couldn't help but sigh that everyone had weaknesses. Then he turned his head and looked at Elliott who smiled at the scene. "Now tell me what you are here."

Elliott always had a smile on his face. Even though Alexander looked at him with a serious expression, the young man still smiled as before.

"I said I just played around casually," he saw Alexander's eyebrows frowned, and he spread his hands helplessly. "If you don't believe me, I can't do anything. Speaking of it, I'm just curious about your farm," he said, "It should be said that it is the farm of the Kosencha family. Of course, if Miss Kosencha married my father, I would suggest that the Kosencha family take the farm on the south bank of the Agri River as her dowry. Don't worry, I'm not greedy and ignorant to ask for this farm."

These words did not ease Alexander's slightly gloomy expression. He was not because Elliott said unhappy, but because he felt that the man was not telling the truth.

Elliott said he was interested in the farm on the south bank of the Agri River. Alexander believed that the real key was not a farm. Perhaps what the Taranto people really wanted was the custody of the grain-producing area at the southeastern end of the Agri Plain.

Of course, if the Kosencha family wants to pay this price for this marriage, the Taranto people must also give corresponding returns. As for what the reward is, Alexander was not interested in inquiring, but now the appearance of the Taranto people obviously disrupted his plan. He was already very troubled to deal with a Frederick, but another Taranto people appeared, which made Alexander feel that he was really unlucky.

It seems that this sister will really cause trouble for him. Ruosha's intoxicating beautiful face flashed through Alexander's mind.

It is impossible to admit that even if Rusha is just based on her appearance, she can attract the interest of many people. If she can bring a dowry that makes people drool, even the Pope would not turn a deaf ear to such a female heir.

In fact, the notorious Pope Alexander VI is planning another marriage for his precious daughter, and this marriage seems to be in Alexander's impression that it really has something to do with Naples.

Just as Alexander's mind was occupied by some complicated things, Eliath suddenly said: "Talento's territory is connected to some parts of the Agri Plain, like two neighbors who are adjacent to each other. In this way, we sometimes have to worry about what is happening on the other side of the fence. At least we hope that if the neighbor's house is on fire, we do not burn it to the fence."

Elliott's words made Alexander's heart move. He knew that this man would not say anything unfounded. Listening to the hint in his words, Alexander realized what the problem was.

"Is there something wrong on the south bank of the Agri River?"

"I don't know, it's the Kosenza family's own business after all," Elliott picked up the glass and took a sip. "I'm just worried that if something goes wrong, don't implicate Taranto."

"If something really happens, isn't it a good opportunity for you?"

"How could there be any chance," Elliott shook his head disapprovingly. "Talento has already had a lot of trouble, so we don't want the neighbors around us to cause us more trouble."

Alexander looked at Elliott opposite him. This young man, who was about the same age as him, was obviously completely different from his appearance. Alexander even had a premonition that perhaps this person would be a big trouble in the future.

"The south bank of the Agri River," Alexander quickly turned his mind, and he stood up and picked up the wine glass on the table to greet Elliott "Thank you for your reminder, sir."

"It's easy to say." Elliot, who was leaning against the chair, smiled slightly and raised his glass to return.

Alexander turned around and left as if nothing had happened, but as soon as he walked out of the house, he immediately accelerated his pace. When he came to the door of Ruosha's room, he even pushed the door and walked in without knocking on the door.

A scream suddenly sounded from the room. The maid holding an inner skirt with both hands looked at Alexander in shock. Behind her, Ruosha's bright and white back was exposed in front of Alexander, just like a blooming white rose, showing her intoxicating look.

After the first scream, the maid opened her mouth again, but before she could make a higher shout, Ruosha had turned around and held her mouth down, while she snatched her inner skirt from the maid's hand and blocked her in front of her.

"Even brother, don't you think it's inappropriate to look at a girl who is not dressed in clothes like this?" Ruosha asked in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm sorry, but now is not the time to apologize," Alexander decided to make a bluff. "It's urgent."

"What happened?" Ruosha was indeed infected by Alexander's nervousness.
