Extra 16: The Bus (Part 1)
"I am a bus driver. Yes, you just call me a driver, because the time we spend together is just the time we get on the bus and get off. Apart from that, we will not meet again. Maybe you can see me elsewhere, but in the car, it must be the first time you have seen me, and the last time you have seen me."
"I'm a bus driver, yes, just call me a driver..."
Wu Bin woke up from his sleep. He shook his head, looked out the window, and then the students in the classroom who were studying at night. In the moment of being stunned, he forgot what kind of dream he had.
A strange dream...but can't remember it.
Wu Bin rubbed his temples and said that he had this symptom. Sometimes he could sleep for 48 hours, 72 hours, or even longer. During his sleep, he would not feel hungry or thirsty. Not only did he feel no feeling, but he would not need to eat or drink water as long as he fell asleep.
When he woke up, he could still maintain his health and nutrition, as if he had eaten and drank water through sleepwalking during this period.
But in fact, it's not like that. He just sleeps and never sleepwalking happens because he once installed a camera in his bedroom, so he can be so sure.
Wu Bin's parents are often not at home, so they don't know about his symptoms. Wu Bin has never been to the hospital, it's just narcolepsy, so there is no need to care.
Perhaps, Wu Bin believes that narcolepsy is the same as bear hibernation. Perhaps his body still has bear genes, and perhaps everyone has this symptom, but his will is not firm and he doesn't want to get up after going to bed.
But no matter what it is, Wu Bin never takes this narcolepsy seriously.
Until one day, Wu Bin got into the bus driving seat again and started driving the bus.
No, I probably can't drive, let alone drive a bus...
Wu Bin discovered something was wrong for the first time, it was so wrong. Why was he driving a bus? Is it a dream again?
Wu Bin turned around and suddenly found a dark coffin in the car...
Wu Bin tilted his head, without fear. For some reason, he suddenly saw this coffin and was not afraid at all. Moreover, his thinking is particularly fresh now, and he doesn't seem to be dreaming.
What exactly happened?
Wu Bin looked out the window. It was pitch black and there was no street light. It was the same in front of him. It was pitch black and there was nothing to see, as if he had entered a dark tunnel.
Wu Bin fumbled with his left hand, then turned on a switch located under the steering wheel. Then, the headlights were suddenly turned on and the road ahead was illuminated, but it was just white lines after white. On the road, these lines were very common.
Wu Bin turned around and looked at the quiet people in the car. Everyone was quiet, everyone was sitting upright, no one played with their mobile phones, and no one talked to each other.
Among these people, there are old men, children, men, and women. They didn't say a word and were silent all the time, but the most surprising thing was the coffin in the middle of the car. It was so strange. Why did there be a coffin in the car, and no one was curious?
"I said..." Wu Bin suddenly spoke, and then all the evacuated people turned their heads and looked at him.
Wu Bin suddenly stopped because the atmosphere suddenly became solemn. Everyone looked at him and stared at him. There were confusion, confusion, doubts, and everything in their eyes, but the more they were like this, the more strange it made Wu Bin feel.
"Driver, what are you going to say?" asked a passenger sitting behind Wu Bin.
Wu Bin pointed to the coffin: "Why is there a coffin?"
A passenger sitting in the second row beside the window of the car said, "Sorry, this is my luggage. You should be able to bring your luggage by bus, right?"
Wu Bin nodded: "Yes."
For some reason, Wu Bin has taken the initiative to play the role of this bus driver. In fact, his hands have left the steering wheel, and he has been watching the road for more than twenty seconds.
Other passengers may think, this driver is too irresponsible, right? It’s okay if you don’t look at the road and leave the steering wheel with both hands. Why did you leave the driver’s seat? Are you driving?
Wu Bin left the driver's seat, and the bus was still moving forward, and it seemed to be equipped with autonomous driving technology.
Wu Bin didn't know what was wrong with him. He felt that this scene was very familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had encountered it. Moreover, he left the driver's seat very skillfully, as if he had known that even without a driver, the car would continue to move forward.
Wu Bin came to the passenger in the second row, and then asked the passenger by the window, "Is this coffin your luggage?"
The passenger nodded: "Yes."
Wu Bin was puzzled, but he didn't ask much. What luggage the passenger carries is indeed his freedom. Although it is strange to carry a coffin, since the other passengers didn't say anything, he didn't have to care.
Wu Bin continued to walk back to the carriage, but after walking a few steps, Wu Bin suddenly saw a hospital bed. This hospital bed is too strange, no, this bus is too strange, why are there beds on the bus?
The hospital bed is embedded in the middle and upper part of the bus. It is against the window. There is a iron rod at the head of the bed, and a drip is hung on it. On the hospital bed is a patient in a sick dress, with an oxygen tube inserted into his nose.
Wu Bin asked, "It doesn't matter, right?"
Why do patients take the bus if they don’t take the ambulance? They also said that this is a modified ambulance?
The patient smiled and said, "Thank you for your concern. I feel pretty good. Even if everyone else is sitting and I am lying down, I'm sorry."
Wu Bin said: "You can sit on the bed."
The patient pointed to the roof of the car: "I can't sit up, the bed is too high."
Wu Bin said, "How about you come down."
The patient looked around: "But the seats are full."
Wu Bin looked around and found that there seemed to be no disabled seats on the bus, but suddenly a girl in the bus said, "I can give up my seat."
Even though she said so, she did not stand up, and she still sat steadily and upright on the chair.
The patient said, "No, I'll stand."
Wu Bin thought for a while, then pointed to the driver's seat: "Why don't you sit there."
patient:"..."
The patient thought for a while and agreed. He got out of bed and sat in the driver's seat. Then he asked again: "Where is this car driving?"
Wu Bin shrugged: "I don't know either."
Everyone: "..."
Don't even know the driver?
