Chapter 45: Buddhist and Taoist Cultivation
The Jialan Dharma Assembly ended, and the monk Luo became famous. The wealthy families in Kaifeng Mansion sent people to bring a lot of money to Maha Temple, hoping to invite the monk Luo to the mansion to preach, eliminate disasters and solve problems, and recite scriptures and pray for blessings.
Luo Feng did not have such idle intentions, and ignored them, regardless of the other party's family background and the number of ranks of official positions, so he ordered people to shirk them and told them clearly that Zen masters who are destined to be lustful will come to their doors, so don't force them if they are not destined to do more good deeds. It is much more useful to ask high monks to come to them.
Mr. Luo was so disrespectful, but he did not offend anyone because he treated everyone equally and ignored everything. Without comparison, there would be no harm. If no one's face was sold, of course he would not have wiped out anyone's face.
It’s not that Luo Feng looked down on these feudal nobles, but they are actually low-level people in the world of fairy swords and are in the same class as the common people.
Luo Feng was busy digesting the harvest and transforming the planning results of these three days of Dharma Assembly into supernatural power cultivation.
During the three-day Jialan Dharma Assembly, Luo Feng scattered more than 100,000 marks of spiritual consciousness. The virtual map in the sea of consciousness was densely filled with white dots, and there was a reward of vows at every moment. The spiritual cultivation level was so fast that it was much more efficient than meditation while sitting and meditation.
In addition to improving mental power cultivation, there are also large sums of merit and blessings. Of course, these two items cannot be quantified in detail, and only people with extremely strong mental power can vaguely sense it.
The greatest merit of Buddhism comes from spreading the Dharma and saving sentient beings. The more ignorant sentient beings are guided to practice Buddhism, and the more liberation the believers receive, the greater the blessing of dedication.
If you can save the whole world, it will be a great merit of becoming a Buddha.
Tang Monk obtained the true scriptures, promoted Mahayana Buddhism, and slightly boosted the purity of faith of the people of the Tang Dynasty. It was far from being truly saved by sentient beings, and he obtained the Buddhahood of the Sandalwood merit. Although there was also suspicion of being promoted quickly, it was also considered that the result was achieved through merit, and the reward was very rich.
In the practice of Buddhism, personal understanding is on the one hand, and saving sentient beings and accumulating merits is on the other hand. Only by focusing on both are the two can we advance quickly. No matter how high a personal understanding is, we can only attain the Pratyekabuddha Buddha's level in the Middle Ages Buddhism, and only by saving sentient beings can we be considered a Bodhisattva.
At least in terms of merit dedication, Buddhism is much faster than Taoist sects to fulfill its merits. When a Taoist priest accumulates merit, it is usually to block the disaster. If you want to be a saint with great merit, you can't even think about it without that Hongmeng purple qi.
The four fruits that Hinayana practitioners can obtain in Buddhism are the Sotapanna fruit, the Stagan fruit, the Anagan fruit, and the Arhat fruit.
After this battle, the monk Luo Shenxu attained the Sotapanna fruit as he wished. The Sotapanna fruit is the closest fruit to the mortal, also known as the Entry Fruit, which represents the first entry into the saints, and has broken the three bonds and bound views, doubts, and precepts to take views.
"Eliminate the three knots" means that practitioners no longer have doubts and have a deep understanding of the concepts of gods, Buddhas, causes and conditions, consequences, and reincarnation.
The scripture says: "Those who have eliminated the three knots and become the incoming stream will not retreat from the Dharma and will definitely seek enlightenment."
It means that you have attained the fruit of Sotapanna. The advantage is that you will not fall into the evil path. After death, you will only be reborn in the heavenly realm and human realm. You will also obtain the certain diligence of your practice and step by step toward the foundation of enlightenment.
The benefits of not falling into the evil path are actually nothing to Luo Feng. He is actually considered to be out of the cycle of reincarnation and not in the five elements. When investigating the plot world, if he dies normally, Dr. Li will use his magic power to resurrect him. If he gets into a powerful person who even Dr. Li can't afford to offend him, he will definitely be a fate of scattered souls and extinction, and it doesn't matter whether he can enter the six realms of reincarnation.
The greatest help to Luo Feng at the moment is that he can finally practice the Buddhist magic of Maha Temple.
With his current prestige, the Sutra Pavilion in Maha Temple is free to enter and exit, and the secret fax method can be read casually. Luo Feng jumped into the Secret Hall of the Sutra Pavilion and began to practice and improve.
The magical magic of Maha Temple is completely different from the Shushan Immortal Sword Sect that focuses on Taoism and flying swords. The sect specializes in martial arts, which are fire-based magic, formations and sealing techniques.
Zen Master Qianye has not yet shown his tendency to be a demon, and has not practiced the poisonous skill that can poison Li Xiaoyao. The strongest killing move is the Buddhist magic "Angry Flame Burning the Heart". This move triggers the target's heart fire, burns evil karma, and is extremely powerful.
The fire-type magic of Buddhism and Taoism is also a unique one. The fire released contains spiritual power and thought blessings. High temperature is secondarily, and can cause damage from the spiritual realm and the law of cause and effect.
Luo Feng has traveled many worlds and has a rich knowledge of the heavens. He is somewhat suspicious whether these "angry flames burn the heart" and "Red Lotus Karma Fire Buddha Angry Fire Lotus" have any connection.
The martial arts of Maha Temple are mainly Buddhist hard skills and mantra hand seals. The so-called mantra hand seals, simply put, are like the great mantra that Luo Feng recited before: "Om Mani Pame Hum!".
When reciting this mantra, you will make seals with both hands, the big fingers are connected to the big fingers, the tail fingers are connected to the tail fingers, and the wrists of both hands are placed on the chest. The six fingers of the other hands are spread outwards and formed into the "big lotus" handprint that matches the truth.
The hand seal is combined with the mantra, and the power is doubled. It is the ultimate destruction technique of Xuanmen’s Dharma. It can be compared with the magical moves and is essentially different from the mortal martial arts.
In addition to the "big lotus hand seal", there are also "Immovable King Seal, Fearless Seal, Treasure Vajra Seal, Lion Seal, Great Power, Vajra Seal, Vajrasattva Seal". Each hand seal has a mantra corresponding to the mantra. Eminent monks with high magic power can use these mantra hand seals to shock the demons and receive the blessing of Buddha's power.
The Buddhist formation is a magic array used to trap demons or defend against demons, such as "the four-way heavenly king protection formation in the Demon Subduing Circle, Vajra Circle, Four-way Heavenly King Protection Formation, Transferring the Three Paths of Shura Array, Great Wheel, Mingwang Formation".
Sealing is also a magic that Buddhist monks are very good at. There are many Buddhist magic weapons. When monks subdue demons, they often release the magic weapons that have been infused with Buddha's power, either absorb, bind, or wrap them, thereby subduing evil spirits. The more famous among the heavens is Zen Master Fahai's bowl.
When he was practicing immortality, Luo Feng was unable to learn the path. After practicing hard in the pyramid for a year, he only learned a few techniques to learn about Shushan. Now he has a deep Buddhist connection and practices freely in the Sutra Pavilion of Maha Temple. He learned whatever he wanted and made an amazing progress. He included all the inheritance of Maha Temple.
Now Luo Feng is not as salty as he had just entered the world of fairy swords. If he faced the Lord of Shuiyue again, he would have been beaten to no avail. When Luo Feng punched the Lord of Shuiyue Palace, he would not even break the opponent's defense.
If he made a bottle seal and smashed it this time, even if the Lord of Shuiyue Palace casts the Vajra Mantra on his face, it will be immediately broken by the Buddha's power, which will make her nose and face swollen.
Strength is the most fundamental basis for carrying out tasks. Luo Feng is busy practicing and improving, and even Li Zi's harem is a little worried about the fire.
Anyway, Li Zi is still young and will not have a life of underage, so Luo Feng is not in a hurry to get involved in the affairs of the boys and women of the children. He is determined to learn the skills of high strength first and then think about something else.
