892 Ashoka Temple (Part 1)
In order to accompany Zhao Jie to "investigate" social forms in Jingbo City, Ye Zhiran asked Yu Wanli for leave and did not return with the Lifeng Municipal Party and Government delegation.
On this day, a high-end car slipped out of the five-star hotel where Zhao Jie was staying, and joined the No. 1 car driven out of the Jingbo Municipal Party Committee, and drove to the famous tourist destination in Jingbo City, Ayuko Temple, also a Buddhist resort.
Ashok Temple was first built in the third year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty, that is, in AD 282, and has a history of more than 1,700 years. Ashok Temple is famous both at home and abroad, not only because of its beautiful mountains and rivers and majestic temples, but also because it has a world-renowned relics pagoda.
According to legend, during the reign of the Indian Mauryan king, King Ashoka, the third largest collection in Buddhist history was held in Pozhali Philadelphia, compiling and organizing the scriptures, law, and discussion of the Tripitaka, and sending monks to spread Buddhism from all directions, making Buddhism a world-wide religion. He also took out the Buddha relics obtained by King Ajatasatru of the Great Pagoda of the Rajapa City, and divided them into 84,000 copies, "Let the feathers fly to the feathers and ghosts, each following the light, and set up a tower." In China, a total of 19 relics were built. Among these 19 relics, the only one preserved is the relics pagoda of Ashoka Temple.
Because it enshrines the real relics of Sakyamuni, this temple has become a major holy place in the Buddhist community. In 1984, the State Council announced that Ashoka Temple was a "key Buddhist temple in the Han area of the country."
Before going to Ashoko Temple, Qiu Shizheng wanted to clean the temple and not open it to the outside world, but Zhao Jie repeatedly said that there was no need to. In order to visit the temple himself, he would probably block the good men and women outside the door, and the effect would be opposite.
In this way, the four of them - Qiu Shizheng, Pei Feifei, Ye Zhiran, and Zhao Jie all wore sunglasses and arranged more than 20 security personnel from front and back to prevent tourists from approaching. After getting off the bus outside the temple gate, they walked into the temple to worship Buddha in a mighty manner.
Among the four, only Ye Zhiran was a completely atheist, and the others, such as Zhao Jie, originally did not believe in Buddhism. However, after becoming the head of the Zhao family enterprise, he unknowingly believed in the gods.
When you enter the mountain gate, the bustling bustle on the foreign road suddenly disappeared. The breeze is refreshing between the bamboos in the jungle, which is completely a transcendent feeling.
This temple is built between the three mountains and has beautiful scenery. Because the temple was built earlier, it preserves the architectural structure of ancient Buddhist resorts. Its characteristics are different from ordinary temples everywhere.
After entering the mountain gate, the four of them walked through the Anut Lotus Pond, the Heavenly King Hall, and the Great Hall to the Relic Hall. They saw that the Relic Hall was five rooms wide, with a double-eaved hip-mounted yellow glass-topped building, about thirteen meters high. The screen door in front of the hall was beautifully reliefed. The square forehead was the plaque of the "Miaosheng Hall" made by Emperor Xiaozong of Song. The yellow plaque of the lower eaves was written on the "Relic Hall" on the yellow plaque of the lower eaves. There are four guardian god sculptures outside the wall behind the hall, which are majestic and vivid. They are works of the Tang Dynasty. The vertical forehead was hung on the middle of the hall, "The Tower of Light on the Buddha's Top" in the middle of the hall, which was written by Emperor Gaozong of Song. The horizontal plaque "Lighting and Solemn" hung on the south. In the middle of the hall is a stone pagoda with seven treasures inlaid with "Relics Radiation" Buddha niche inlaid with seven treasures, and a statue of Sakyamuni reclining Buddha was placed behind the stone pagoda, which was about four meters long.
Ye Zhiran accompanied Zhao Jie to visit with the mood of appreciating ancient architectural styles and viewing cultural relics, but Zhao Jie was different. When he arrived at the door of the Relics Hall, Yingying bowed, and she looked like a pious and trustworthy woman. Pei Feifei, who followed her, was unwilling to fall behind. Yingying bowed.
The two women, from their clothes to their beautiful faces, were obviously different from ordinary tourists, and naturally attracted countless pursuits. Some brave people approached slightly and were blocked by security personnel. These people knew that the identity of the visitor was extraordinary and aroused great interest.
Qiu Shizheng asked, "Mayor Ye, don't you pay a visit?"
"Well. I don't believe in Buddhism..."
Zhao Jie glared at him when he got up and said, "Whether you believe it or not, you are not allowed to say something about blasphemy in the temple. The relics of my Buddha are worshipped here. It is not comparable to other temples."
Ye Zhiran shrugged and stopped speaking.
Pei Feifei said to Qiu Shizheng: "Leader, if you bow, the Buddha will bless you with everything going well."
Qiu Shizheng was indeed bowing in front of the threshold outside the hall, but Ye Zhiran was unmoved. He looked at the four precious steles on the sides of the platform in front of the hall, including the article written by Wan Zhairong of the Tang Dynasty, the "Permanent Field of Ashok Temple" written by Fan Chong, the Song Dynasty wrote the "Permanent Field of the Temple" written by the Song Dynasty, and the "Permanent Spring Inscription" written by Zhang Jiucheng.
One of the major purposes of Pei Feifei's trip was to please Zhao Jie, so Zhao Jie worshiped Buddha and she also worshiped Buddha, and Zhao Jie gave alms to her.
There are tables and chairs on both sides of the door of the hall. There are monks sitting behind the clerks who write the names of pilgrims who donated incense money and pilgrims who donated incense money for 50 yuan. The little novice monk respectfully wrote down his name. In the future, when monks do their homework, the names of these pilgrims will be worshipped in front of the Buddha statues and enjoy the Buddha's glory together when the monks do their homework.
Before leaving, Zhao Jie prepared cash, took 20,000 yuan of cash from his entourage, and threw it into the merit box. The little shady monk was stunned and hurriedly recited the Buddha's name, respectfully asking Zhao Jie to leave his name.
Pei Feifei followed the example and took out two stacks of brand new RMB to put it into the merit box.
The little shaman knelt in front of the Buddha statue with a thud, recited the scriptures for a while, and then stood up and asked the two female donors to leave their names. Zhao Jie shook his head and said, "No need, in front of my Buddha, all living beings are equal. If you leave a name, it will seem that your heart has worldly desires and is not pious enough."
The little novice monk saw the two female donors in front of him, as if they were so beautiful, like fairies descending to earth, and they knew they were not ordinary people. At this time, he was even more shocked when he heard Zhao Jie say such words. He recited a few words "Amitabha" and felt grateful to the Buddha in his heart that he was indeed capable of reaching the sky and the earth. He said, "Donor, please wait a moment, and I will report to the abbot." He ran out all the way.
Ye Zhiran couldn't help but shake his head and said, "If the Buddha really had such ability, why would Ashoka Temple be rebuilt several times?"
Zhao Jie hurriedly glared at him and said, "Hey, if you say such things again, I will drive you out."
Ye Zhiran spread his hands, then pointed to the little novice monk running out from afar and said, "Following this situation, the abbot will come here in a while."
Qiu Shizheng smiled and said, "Ashog Temple is a thousand-year-old temple. If the abbot invites us to serve tea, he can also be infected with some Buddha spirit."
Zhao Jie nodded and took care of Ye Zhiran: "If the abbot invites us to serve tea, don't talk nonsense."
Uh? Am I like this? Ye Zhiran felt a little depressed.
Sure enough, two middle-aged monks came over and invited them to the Zen room to serve tea.
Ye Zhiran followed them and came to the wing room of Ashoka Temple. As soon as he entered the door, he saw two old monks with all white hair. One of them was none other than monk.
Ye Zhiran asked in surprise: "Master Kude, why are you here?"
