Chapter 13 Ryan, I'm Back!

Andera is a completely landlocked country.

If you don’t face the sea, there will naturally be no harbor.

Therefore, Rob had to say goodbye to the dwarves in advance. He got off the ship in the Port of Setvia of the Holy Alliance, then took a carriage to Maple Leaf City, and then took a boat, flowing down the Ayate River, and then arrived at Eton, the capital of Andera.

It also takes some effort to get from Eaton to Ryan. There is a section of the road between which the carriage is not easy to walk. Passers-by generally can only choose to ride a horse or walk.

When Rob left home when he was eight years old, he went to study at the Royal Magic Academy of Tist. It took a month for the boy to get to Eaton. It took nearly two months from Eaton to Setvia Port, plus four months of wandering in Shanghai (because Rob, who was eight, bought the cheapest ship tickets and almost every port of cargo ship he took was parked, so the voyage was relatively long). After several twists and turns, he came to the academy. Rob had always been impressed by this long journey.

After ten years, Rob couldn't help but feel a little moved in his heart.

At first, he left his hometown and went to study in the Lion Heart Empire, but he just wanted to become a first-level magic apprentice. With the help of an orthodox magician, he held the thigh of a small lord and got a noble title. Maybe one day he would have his own fiefdom. This can be regarded as a success for young people who have walked out of a small place like Ryan.

He never expected that one day he would be valued by the principal, become the ace of the academy, become the hope of the human race, become the prince charming in the minds of countless girls, and the object of worship by all junior brothers. Of course, he did not expect that he would be locked in the magic tower for so many years.

Now his name spreads throughout the Dawn Continent, and everyone knows it in the human world. Even aliens such as elves and dwarves will travel thousands of miles to express their respects on the day he advances.

But the boy suddenly realized that he was not as happy as he thought. He missed the small town called Ryan, the kind residents there, the simple life, the childhood friends, and the man whose temples were dyed with white hair.

In fact, before that incident happened, the boy always thought that his father was the most handsome.

He has been to so many places, seen so many interesting things, participated in so many battles, defeated monsters several times taller than his body, told funny jokes, and made his mother and him laugh.

If he hadn't fallen in love with gambling, he would have been a model husband and father.

After so many years, Rob has long stopped hating him.

Sometimes he even began to try to understand him. This man was as casual as the wind until he met his beloved girl. So he decided to settle down and become an ordinary uncle in the grocery store. He would whisper with bargaining customers and carry rice bags and walk several miles on his own in order to save some shipping costs.

But the blood of adventurers is still flowing in his bones. He will miss the days when he licked blood from the knife, missed every exciting adventure, and missed the excitement of wandering between hunters and prey. Therefore, he became addicted to gambling and wanted to retrieve the madness of the past from that small card table and make his long-silent heart beat again.

"It's true, since that's the case, why did you want to stay for nothing?" the young man murmured.

That being said, every summer, Rob would send money home secretly without anyone else.

No more or less, just one gold coin.

This money can not only make the man live a comfortable life without leaving too much, but it will allow him to squander the money at will in the casino.

Just half a year ago, when the escape plan was almost done, the boy sent ten gold coins to the guy at one go for the first time.

He didn't know when he would go back to that town, nor did he know if he had time to pay the guy a regular pension on his way to escape.

Now Rob couldn't help but admire his foresight. With this money, he could buy the small building opposite the grocery store, repair it, and open it into a bakery.

Rob doesn't know how to make bread, and he doesn't know much about anything other than magic, but now he has plenty of time to learn how to make noodles, how to knead bread, and how to bake them into a fragrant smell.

When my mother was alive, she always wanted to open a bakery.

So this is also a fulfillment of her last wish.

Well, maybe he should also find a girl who smiles very gently. It is undeniable that the man has a strong vision of choosing a wife. Maybe he should also learn from him?

After all, a bakery alone always feels a little deserted. Rob was thinking about it all in the carriage. If he had a grandson, could that man be able to calm down and try to stay away from those bad habits he used to do.

The journey back home was much smoother than he thought. I don't know how Steins and Deman handled his escape. At least so far, the human world has not issued a large-scale search against him. Most ordinary people don't even know that Rob has left the Royal Magic Academy of Tist, so he did not encounter a very strict investigation in the Port of Setvia. The difficult road between Eaton and Ryan was also given money by some kind lord.

Sure enough, many things are different from when they left.

Rob was fascinated by looking at the strange scenery outside the car window.

In my memory, I originally had a large wheat field, but I stayed at the farmer's house for a night. Now the wheat field has become a fruit forest and a newly renovated fish pond. It can be seen that the other party should have lived a good life in the past few years.

Of course, there are also some scenes that still seem familiar, such as a small hill with green grass.

When the boy passed by the bottom, he saw a girl who had just broken up and cried very sadly.

In addition, there are other bits and pieces. As they get closer and closer to Ryan, the memories of the past also come out of his mind.

Fortunately, Rob breathed a sigh of relief inexplicably. No matter how the changes outside were, Ryan was still the same Ryan.

He could already see the familiar small river in the suburbs of the town. Although his mother had been walking for many years, he still felt a little sad when he saw this river.

The boy sighed, stretched out his fingers and rubbed his temples, but unexpectedly saw a group of mercenaries fetching water by the river. Among them, the leader's man was still cursing, "Damn, you have to pay for water. Those guys in the town are so hateful! When I break through the dungeon, I must let those buns see what rich people are!"

Hey?!Why did you see mercenaries here? Rob was a little surprised. Didn’t this group of people just smell the smell of money and run around the world? They usually don’t take it seriously in small towns like Ryan, just like Old Ricks came here because he got lost.
